Earring of Mayong's Faithful  

 

The item isn't from Mayong, it's from Solteris. Mayong is in DP as previously stated.

The TBS items are extremely lacking on the mod's compared to the DP/DK gear I'm used to seeing. I'm not sure how the people in charge of itemization could look at each other and say that the items were ready for live servers. It's sad but true that I could do a better job :(

Hopefully they will continue to fix these mistakes!

You gotta love a pure Priest/Caster only Earring with +Strikethrough on it.

On a side note, WTF is Sony thinking?! I've been combing through the Foci and I've found exactly four items that're pure Caster usable and extend buffs more than 15% with a cap of 72 or 75. FOUR ITEMS, one of which drops from Mayong himself in Demiplane, the others dropping from very high-end TSS/TBS raid mobs that my Guild won't be encountering for ages to come.

Meanwhile, there are a plethora of buff extension items available for everyone from Warriors to Beastlords. I dunno what the hell Sony is thinking; why does a BST have need of +20% (or higher) buff extension, easily available from many mid-level raid mobs in TSS, yet an Enchanter has to fight over one of the few items he can use with a buff extension Focus because it's All/All, and drops from a mob his Guild will take down maybe once?

(It's not that I doubt the prowess of my Guild, it's just that it's beginning to look like Mayong is the Demiplane version of Overlord Mata`Muram. IE, someone you've gotta kill once, if only to say you've done it, but not something you farm regularly; difficulty of mob just far outweighs the loot table assigned to it.)

I'm just...disappointed. In the end-game, I know my primary role; it's as a buff bot, basically, with a side order of DPS (slight, but every little bit helps). With that in mind, why is it we're the only "buff Class" w/o a nice selection of benficial duration Foci items? As it is, the 1 or 2 items available are tagged All/All, so I'll not only be fighting the other Enchanters for it, I'll also have to contend with everyone else present at the raid, many of whom will want such an item for the hp/mana if nothing else.
