Shadows of Luclin
This item doesn't just drop in the Caverns. I was grouped and camping a Cuthroat Bandit camp in North Ro the other day, and no less than 2 of these dropped in less than 30 minutes!

Yes it does, i just got one yesterday in PC of a bandit.

I had this in my bards range slot until I died now it no longer goes in ranged. What a drag!.

Saw it drop twice in about a two hour camp, but was lore so could only get one. The other just expired cuz no one else wanted anything cept the money. Just got Luclin and love these caverns, camping the bandits is just about the best and fastest xp I've ever had, leveled twice in about four hours total camping

The bandits are great for camping. In a few sessions totaling about 8 hours i went from lvl 19 to lvl 23 with my ranger ang grabed about 200pp in items and cash. Also i saw the dirk drop twice in all of the 8 hours.
The description doesn't say it, but this also goes in the range slot. A very nice surprise. I looted it and it was no where in my inventory. I looked in the range spot, and there it was. A nice +3 dex boost to boot!!
I got the item the first time camped the Bandits. And it's a very nice dagger. More suited, it seems for a rogue then a the wizard I am, but I keep it in my ranged slot. Then another one dropped about 30 minutes later. And I have never seen one again. These bandits seem pretty weak to me unless the jump you. My group spent about 2 hours camping them and at one point we went at the bandits pulling for what seemed none stop for 15 minutes, (probably more like 10, seemed like forever). We had dead bodies all over. They should call it the XP caverns. So many people go there to level up. I also got a perfect owlbear pelt drop off of yellow eyes, on a passing by to somehwere else and aggro'd him.

I've been camping Paludal for about two weeks, lost count of how many I've killed. I've gotten exactly one of these. It's a very nice item for the level of player capable of earning it. Mine dropped off a female halfing parked at the foot of the stairs by where Yelloweyes spawns. I noticed she wasn't hitting as hard as the bandits that carry the sullied dagger.
I got one last night. It was the first time beiong on the moon. It fell of a burerler or the thief. i dont really know. it was a human that dropped it though. My group told me it does not dropp often.
I submitted this myself a week or two ago.
I'll have to check but that screen shot may be old. It is definitely Range equipable (gave one to my rogue - very handy at level 5 :)
It always dropped of the Recodite Burglars for me (note the spelling) and you can see it when they are carrying it. These are the male gnome bandit types in Paludal. (about level 20ish, 400-500hps.)
It's quite rare, Ive only seen 2 in the last 50 or so bandit kills.
So if you want one, and have access to invisibility, go scout out all the camps first, then clear your way to your prospective target :D

This is almost like a dragoon dirk! Did anyone else notice that? Except it has a higher dmg, and there's no magic resist. I do beleive it is dropped by a higher level mob, so it might not be worth the risk...
Dragoon Dirk drops off Dorn B Dyn or Ambassador Dvinn. Both are level 18-22 mobs that hit 2-3x harder than any of the bandits in this camp.
The Dragoon Dirk is much better weapon than the Bandit dirk. 6/23 +2dex +3MR.

Never knew Dorn dropped the Dragon Dirk.
Everytime I killed him, he dropped almost NOTHING. A few gold, or a cheap jewel at best. And underconned to ALL hell, darn Dark Elves.

Dorn does drop the dirk. Albeit very rarely. Heck, it's rare off of D'Vinn as well.
This dagger, like the dirk, is range equipable.
The mobs to kill for the dagger are MUCH easier than those two underconn inkies, and they give much more exp per kill too.

Does not drop off the chick for the LSoEE, or rather SoEE now, quest, its a random off the higher level bandits. the quest dagger is the Ancient Ornate Combine dagger, or some such thing.

Retnaburn, look at your wording, that wasnt a flame, it just looks like you're saying its used in the LSoEE quest. touchy touchy. I was hoping I'd stop someone from turning this in with the rest of the quest items. In short, CHILL.

Anyone notice how its primary/secondary but has 40 range on it? Kind of strange is it not?
Drops from Maricella Slithra, the named bandit on the ledge used in the Scimitar of Ethereal Energy quest.

I have been killing the bandits for 3 days now and have not seen this drop yet. Anyone know which type of bandit it comes off?
I've never killed any named bandits passing through here, but i have seen 2 drop off of some kind of regular bandits.

Its more a uncommon drop than a common. I've been camping here from 20-27 level and have only seen 4 of them drop off the regular bandits. They drop about the same rate as the bracers, can't remember ths stats but is a nice item for this level.
