7ac +4wis +15hp isn't bad but i rather have these. 2 more ac and i rather lose 10hp for 10mana but your losing less then 10hp so these are a bit better IMO.
I have seen so many post that knock Druids for one reason or the other. But let me remind you of a few simple things When you shout need a TP to where ever it is you need to go, don't ask a druid any more. Walk run jump leap hop skip your way there hon. And when you need a SoW for a corpse run so you can get there faster again don't ask a Druid. And when you are fighting that almighty MoB don't ask for a DS. The leggings may not be the greatest but IF you quest for something at least you KNOW that was something you did and no one else did for you. If you want to be super twinked go to Ebay and buy a toon from there and know in your heart that you did NOTHING to get it except fill out the order form. Just because you have a "twinked level what ever doesn't mean you know all there is to know about that toon nor do you know how to play that race/class combo. In closing stop the hate of one class is better than the other. It's your game play it the way you want. Be a Pally if that makes you happy or be a DRUID if that makes you happy. Life is about choices . . . . . . .

For all of you who keep mentioning Gator Scale leggings..... Look up Sun Leggings and Sunlord Leggings.... Better armour and you don't have to stand in line for the lone evercamped crocadile.
And for Natsuko the uneducated scholar.... The BPC stats are very usefull to a druid other than AC.
Stamina... For that extra jump while running from a mob the uber tank can't hold aggro from. (We often have to hold back our damage output... Don't believe me.... take 2 groups to Kael one group 6 tanks (anytype), and one group all druids...all the same level... if played right the druids will get the exp on every kill.)
Dexterity.... the higher the dex the more often you proc...enough said.
Agility.... Being able to successfully cast that root while being hit (again after pulling aggro away from Uber Tank)
Yes I am tired of all the Uber kiddies running around slamming druids, and labeling us as usless. I soloed Vluudeen in GD at lvl 50. Show me a tank that can do that and i'll be impressed. and no i'm not uber or twinked. (and for those druids who want to try Vluudeen get Es Gaunts and Vambs, and plan for a long night, it took over an hour to do, BUT it can be done.) and for the flamers who will say why he doesn't drop anything we can use, my answer is. because he was there and i could.
"take a group of any tank and a group of nukers and the nukers will get the xp" No kidding? :p
And, accually... a warrior cleric and 4 rogues will do 5 times the dammage of a group of full nukeing druids, why? well you see, druids require mana and rogues just keep backstabbing away.
Vluudeen does actually drop something druids can use...Vluudeen's Tail. A great little whip to help raise 1hs until we get our epics. I used this from about 48-55 when I finally got my Elaborate Scimitar. Vluudeen's Tail is alot faster than some of the scimitar's I have seen in game, and raised my 1hs from nil to over 100 in a day of casual melee in KC. So grab that no drop whip when Vluudeen goes down...it rocks.

Like its said below these legs are the druid twilight quest legs. Not dropped, not sure why he posted that. Quest info you can find everywhere you found this im sure you can find the quest :)
Quest is a pain in the butt also we did this over 3 days of none stop killing of ph's by the time we got the final piece for it we had about 40 other quest pieces.
They look like leather also, although It was on the old models might be different on the new ones. But I wouldnt hold your breath.

Rilla Quickeyes says 'For the earth blessed leggings you will have to go get me a sky jewel, a mark of life, an etched emerald of nature, and a sack of purified soil." (they have the quest linked to these legs here but don't have the legs here linked to that quest yet)
"P.S.: Almost have the twilight quest cloak, anyone know where the Etched Peridot of nature comes from yet?"
(I got this the other day there while running around, tro jeg smith was up "Genuine Leather Padding, Cleric Breastplate Scarlet Desert, tro jeg smith ")
I'm up to like 45 various quest things just from scarlet desert, dawnshroud peaks and twilight sea. Now I kind of have to get into the more hairy zones like mons letalis and tenebrous mountains.. eeeee.
"I know it can't be sold" Actually, if you look at the item, you will notice that it is not no drop and therefore can be sold. But other than that, I agree with you, from what I've seen of these quests so far all the rewards are subpar. The Ranger Breastplate has less AC than Ivy Etched, sure it has bigger stat bonuses, but by the time you are able to start hunting the stuff that drops the pieces you will undoubtly have better. Just plain disapointing
"The BCP, for a Druid only armor that /doesn't/ have WIS, it blew me away with the awesome stats that came with it...it may only have 12 AC, but I'll probably keep it forever...I love the added bonus of often being missed 5-6..even 9 times in a row when I get lucky, all because of some extra stats"
Those stats don't help at all, only ac does. Since no druid race has what you'd call "low" agil having more agil or whatever on an item does nothing for us. Therefore its only 12 ac really. A foreman's tunic is better for a druid than a bcp and an ulthork tunic which you could probably get for just as much cash is a ton better. Stats don't help you "block", ac and dodge skill is all that ever helps. Eventually a druid is never getting hit anyway for the most part.
The only reason why druids went BCP and chiten legs crazy is the look when they really had nothing else but leather looks to choose from. Really it should be given away and its surprising anyone ever pays anything for it.
Cured tizmak tunics are often on vendors in thurg for 45 plat or likely sold by players for slightly more. They are 15 ac and 7 magic res with a velious leather graphic. That beats the heck out of a BCP because the MR is actually something which can be used.
Another thing to remember is that mana is no longer 1 point per wis over 200, its now something like 6 at level 50 while mana is 10 points per wis up to 200. So the new wis and int cap are something like 250.
Really these quest armors are somethings druids have been wanting for a long time. There are just so many weird drops you need for all of this stuff and some of them are in pretty dangerous areas. That almost makes them kind of moot when like you say you can get gatorscale legs. Really for how hard it would be to collect this stuff you could get kromriff military legs instead with some help from a few higher level people. I bet the tunic in this set is not even as good as an ulthork one.
10 mana is not hay when at level 50 1 wis = 10 mana and you might have 10 mana here, 30 here, 40 here, 10 here, etc. Its the same as plus HP gear, it all adds up.
200-250 is now fixed at 5.8 mana/wis regardless of level. So up to lvl 29 your mana gained from wis>200 will be higer than the mana got from your pre 200 wis.
EQCasters has a calculator if you want to work out your personal mana. http://eq.castersrealm.com/misc/manacalc/
You may want to check the calculations you put up there. I am a 55 Druid with 212wis and 500 in free mana. Your gonna tell me 212 wis will produce ruffly 1300mana points to cast... okay with my mana producing items i will have roughly 1800mana points. I cast group SLN at 700 per cast. And i can cast that 4 times roughly without medding.. probably 5 if i have C2 on.. maybe i am bugged and not ubber like you but i like the fact that i have more mana then your calculations.. Have a great day.. (if you didn't do the math means i have almost 3k in mana points atleast.
you should read more carefully. The 5.8 mana per wisdom only applies to the wisdom you have over 200. wisdom from 200 and below is still figured with the old calculation, that is ((wis/5)+2)x level. So in your case you have 200/5 + 2(42) times 55 = 2310 mana from wisdom up to 200 5.8 times 12 = 69.6 mana from wisdom over 200 and 500 mana from free items for a grand total of 2879.6 mana.

Posted:Jan 11 2002 at 8:43 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I stand corrected... misinformation... weird that all of the quest stuff is tradable...
While I was also initially surprised, when I thought about it, for most classess this is the replacement for their low 30s quested armor (Crafted/Lambent/Armor of Ro/Ivy-Etched/Totemic/Ravenscale and whatever the Shadowknight armor is called, I forgot, and the various other Temple of Solusek Ro quest pieces) -- and all those ARE tradeable.
Neither Monks nor Druids got anything at that time, but they've not been overlooked this time around.
EDIT: I forgot Ravenscale is not quested but just drops where Rubicite used to... so /cheer for Rogues too :-)
AC-wise, these are a fair bit better than the old pre-40 druid standard legs (gatorscale), having the same Wisdom as well as a little extra Stamina, HP and Mana. Dex doesn't really help Druids much, but certainly doesn't hurt with getting skill rises with weapons and with tailoring and the like.
I'm going to stick to my Kromrif Military Leggings for now, though. :-)
These look to be great alternatives to gator scale legs. I see they are dropped in Twilight Sea, but what mob drops them? What level, how hard etc. If not, what are they selling for and are they really common drops? I tried the Ancient Croc camp for five days off and on and only got one sleeves out of the deal. Gave up on legs. Druid could sure use these. Any help for someone waiting on RAM upgrade to install Lucin and go there would be helpful. Thanks!
