Was hunting the mob with some guildies and allies last night. I rolled and won this sword. Not sure how rare it is, but it dropped on our first kill. ALL these mobs take direct damage from the Pally line of undead spells, though it did get resisted from time to time from me including Instrument of Nife. Hints on taking this mob, make sure you have at least a 55+ cleric with you and a Pally to hit 'em with the undead line of spells. Noticed the spells did interrupt their spell casting from time to time. Good luck all.

Hi there, I was just wondering how common the drop is off that mob and what level can a shadow knight and Shaman can solo it? Also where does the mob spawn and and is he a caster..etc.. Any info would help, I play on the kayne bale server so not a lot of selection of 2hs for sale..
I don't think it's that common. I've looted the crown of torment and the cloak of torment in the 2 times I've killed him in a group. He HT's so be careful of that, sending a pet in to take the HT helps a lot.
He's immune to slow, root and snare also so watch for that. If you try him, just have Levitate of some sort up so you can run away easily.
As for soloing him, I'm a 60th chanter and I might could but I wouldn't want to since he's immune to root. Friend of mine solo's him with his 60 bard easily though.

Not sure how common the drop is but he spawns at the top of the ruins in the middle of the zone. If you run up to the top of the tall peak just inside the zone from The Grey you can see him on top of the platform.
for its lvl its very nice...
