Save som time farming for small pieces. Just go to the Timzak caves and gather velium weapons. you can break each velium weapon into 1 small brick of velium and 2 pieces usinging a velium smithing hammer and the weapon. then use a chisel and beat the small brick into another two pieces. Each weapon net 4 pieces. I gathered about 250 pieces in about an hour this way.
I am working Blacksmitting skill ups. I have made the sickles to 183. I am now doing the Enchanted Velium to get to 222. After that I will use the sickles to make the Mistletoe Sickle to get me up to 300.
To go from 183 to 222 that is going to be a lot of velium. I was in Crystal Caverns running all over the place for 90+ minutes and only got 10 pieces and 8 small bricks. I was told that was a sucky drop rate.
Which zone is the best place to farm velium?

So you think bah the monster dropped a block of velium not a small brick.. well heres the thing ANY Velium is good... even a block turn the block into a Large block of Velium (Block+Smithing Chisel) then the Large block with.. something i forgot and theres your small brick. and if you got a large then something wiht your large makes small so dont throw out any bricks :D
along with the guests, it also drops from the golem thingies that go 'Areeeeeewwwwwww'.
Also drops from the crystalline golems in skyshrine.

You can make these from small bricks of velium.
small brick of velium + smithing chisel = two small pieces of velium
(combined in a forge ofcourse)
They are also used for high level tailoring. For arctic wyvern armor to be exact.

Both Small pieces and Smal bricks of Velium drops from several of the 'guests' at the Wedding (5th floor) in the Tower of Frozen Shadow, Iceclad Ocean.
