Fascinating discussion, which monsters drop it please?
I was lucky enough to receive this drop a few days ago. It's an amazing offhander even with epic (The ratio actually is better) and so far the ONLY mobs that have resisted the proc are the high end mobs in HoT, and very few of those. (mostly the name's and Ancients)
One other thing to remember is that the song haste doesn't <only> affect your fists, it also makes this weapon faster.
With Boon I've found that I proc enough to get 400-500 life tap back a fight. I love this weapon...

Yes, the ratio is slightly better than the unhasted CF. So a monk would indeed dump this in offhand for the ratio, the stats, and the proc.
My BST uses it as primary with SoS in offhand because it's an offensive proc, and it needs to proc more. Well, that and it's h2h, which is the BST's main weapon skill.
About the 49... your friend is 49 and it procs for him? If that's the case it's somewhere between 36-49. Always good to narrow it down.

My RL friend is the owner of the 1st of these to drop in game, i think it procs at 49. it is awesome, it procs all the time, great weapon.
This weapon doesn't even come close to monk epic Shamu. Celestial Fists are 9/16 PLUS the effect which has haste/attack bonus and something else on it that i can't remember right now. I believe the haste is around 40% on the effect, making it the CFs much better than this weap.

heh, This guy doesn't have his epic yet.. or else he would know that your fists are 9/16 with the effect of the Celestial Fists. . .
But then again, I don't have my epic either. I just pay attention to details.

My Iskar monk has a Fireclaw Talons as his primary and a GIU as a seondary and he really rocks. The only bad part of it all is that it's a major aggro item. But hell, that's what FD are for. :)
Anyway, get it if you can and it'll carry you though well into your 40's.

Ratio on this is not better than epic...if you are talking about monk epic. With fbss monk epic is 9 11...that's right someone call the fire department because my fists es en fuego! 9/11 > 16/28...still a nice weap...best is to proc sos...then switch to ulak!

If you're going compare ratios, make sure to use th FBSS' haste on both weapons, not just the one you want to "win".
But in this case, it is still better. (Unless the Proc actually goes off and lands a lot, which is doubtful in the high end game.)

Almost same ratio of Stave of Shielding but great stats and awesome proc. Im sure this will be the high end upgrade for all those SoS users...I know I would love to get one. Anyone know what level is starts to proc at? Either way it will be a while till I get one.
It's not proccing yet at 35. I'll post when it starts if no one else finds it first.

Proc is a 123pt drain I *think*. It is a drain for sure, but im not positive on the dmg.

Nice, a trade-able weapon with a damage ratio better than the celestial fist. A bit slower, so less damge bonuses, but nevertheless of epic proportions.
