Severed Gnoll Finger  

 

"In all the confusion..." I am not positive if it was the Slavemaster or the High Shaman. I think it was the High Shaman Lo'Eszch that dropped 6 of these. (Both of these spawns so far, I have found to be rarer than the others, I am not sure if it is just because of where they are located, or they are actually rarer relative to PH spawns - yet.) This is the only time I have seen the finger bones and have killed many of the others listed below several times and they were not on them. Rather sketchy I know but just trying to help anyone who is on the look out for these.

X Ref.: Also read the posts under the quest itself. I can't confirm or deny but it looks like enough people saying the same thing to be true (hey it's only EQ). Which might have happened in my sampling above.

The main point here being that they definitely dropped both before and after the date posted below.

I killed Brewmaster Drachty twice, first time no fingers, The second time he dropped 6 fingers. My alt warrior, who needed the fingers died the first time in his final rage, but not the second time. This might be why the fingers did not drop the first time.

I am camping them for 5 days now (10-12 hours per days) and kill several named for loot "Severed Gnoll Finger".
I got over 20-30 named & no finger droped.
I have try a full group too and killed 4 named same result.

I think this item is bugged at the moment:

The best way to get one is in a full group. I killed about 8 named who are listed as finger-droppers with no luck, having druid+warrior+2 mercs (druid having the task).

I added another friend to fill the group, all 3 non-mercs got the Send the Message task, and the first name we killed dropped the 6 fingers.

My guess is that b/c it drops one each for a full group, it's bugged and only drops fingers if you have a full group (mercs included)
