It currently says "A Poached Hide" and the graphics looks like a poached hide which you could expect looting from some poachers.

Sorry. I think I was just commenting and making a misassumption about this item as I was enjoying the thought of going out and skinning poachers. After paying attention to the drops and seeing ruined cat pelts and the quest dialogue at the end that the poachers were poaching 2 legged and 4 legged cats. I will be more specific with screenshots and logs.

These drop off of a loda kai poacher in shadeweavers thicket.
