now i see veratn did find a way to replace trival loot code in the sense of making stuff lore and no drop but at the same time some of the stuff that they are making lore is out of this world.
like for an example they make hum lets say some gloves drop out of a lvl 55 mod and let say they are melle werable with lets say 4 str 10 ac and hum 2 dex i dont know something like that you kill the mob wioth you lvl 55 character loot it just to notice that the glove dont even come close to the ones you have already. then they go to waste cause they are no drop i do think that is a good way to prevent farming but at the same time the item is going to waste 80 % of the time cause it sits and rot at least make them lore then you cant farm it but you can sell them to some lower lvl (and no niot to a lvl 4 or 5 40 plus ) onother idea i had in mind was making items nto work if you wasnt of the lvl requierd to obtain the item lets say for example a warrior lvl 20 twink buys a cobalt bp ( i hav seen it lol)
and of course the rigth click heal dont work before 50 but guess what he has 50 ac !!! plus the stats in the other hand if you make the item by some sort of code decrease in ac and stats to adjust to the character lvl so like that there is no twinkin and economy gets better. just and idea i could bet that it would take a lot of code and work to make the hole item database able to do that but they already did it with the mage focus items. a mage lvl 50 summond me some focus items for my use and no kidding when i inspect them they said that ac was 6 but next to tath number it said ac of 2 in read and when ever i equip it i only gained the 2 ac i ding to the next lvl and it added 1 ac extra .

well im done you guys probably dont care what stupid ideas i have but o well i post it anyways.

sorry about the mispells but english is not my native language

They allready have this on a number of Luclin items. It says "recomended level" a number of umbral planes drops have this.It is just like you described though the lower the character is below the recomended level the less ac they get from the item.I have also seen a couple items with things like "recomended defense of 25".
The reason all this stuff is lore and no drop and have recomended levels is because of farming.Just my opinion, but farming is a symptom not the problem.Verant needs to address the problems that cause farming not leave the problems there and just make it hard to farm.
Personally I think it should all be no drop but everything should be doable by 1 group.I mean sure it can be tough to get 6 groups to act together in a raid and come out on top, but most raids(not all)seem to be just a bunch of people beating on a mob that would not be hard exept for his hps.1 group forays seem to be much more challenging yet lesser loot than raid encounters.Yes, I know there are exeptions to what I just said.My point is this..It is much more rewarding to do something with a single group where you had a big impact on the outcome than to be the 25th person in a 36 person raid and have little impact.Yet to get the good gear you have to be on a raid or purchase it.At least with Luclin there are now a number of places a single group can get some planar equivelant gear.

Ok /rant off

P.S. Does this place have a spell check function?I need it badly :)

He is actually a shadow that looks like a human male(don't know why). Sees through inviz and can be killed using undead only spells. You get no faction loss from killing him.
Name of mob

This mob spawns on the shadow island, but it is a male human. I can't remember his first name, but his last name is Darkwalker or something like that, he cons ready to attack, so don't worry about any faction.

I have killed him twice and gotten idol both times. He seems to be a fairly rare spawn though.

Ok so what drops this?
wow

For the level of this mob (as its posted) this looks like a soon-to-be always camped item. Luckily as with many drops - there is not sit camping anymore.

With more lore / no drop / wandering drops - I think verrant found a good alternative to trivial loot code.

just my 2cp =)

On the other hand it's an enormous advantage to druids (and partly rangers and bards but druids can often solo whatever as long as it's not 5 levels above them). I've always wondered how trackers were able to see how the trail that they are following is a Byrunai (sp) Gemcutter and not just any ole giant badger.

A Burynai Gemcutter has an unusually longer index finger than most other Burynais, usually used to scrape the sides of small shiny rocks, or gems...
May not be easily visible to you, but to my Ranger, it's as different as an Orc Pawn is to a Voracious Brute

Not to mention it smells bad.

Oh hell, they all smell bad,
Gemcutter just smells worse.
Kinda like a men's room after
an explosion. But yeah the
index finger is the dead giveaway.
