We, a pair of 17 beastlords, took out the charred ez. Third one we dropped had the weapon visibly. Keep clearing the loda kai tent camps to get them to spawn. Red to us but good xp.
I have a Warrior I am trying to raise without much twinking thats Currently using Serrated Needle Claw from the Blood Hopper, the Bonus damage on this would make it better than the needle.
If you do want it badly this drops off a charred corpse in Shadeweaver Thicket. They are on the opposite side of the worm tunnels from Shar Vahl. They conned blue to me at 21st and 22nd. Bring your fire suit though. They cast a fire damaging spell. Does around 20 points though so not so bad.
Not true. Damage bonuses kick in at level 28. The fire damage bonus on this weapon will work for a level 1 as long as your opponent isn't fire resistant.
I hate how Verant makes all these weapons look cool and have cool sounding names but then they completely suck ***. Whats the point in even puttin **** like this in the game?
Man i really wish they would take stupid kids like you and make you all go to a new server, where twinking was impossible. oh yes, then you would change your tune. Then you might realize that not everyone twinks their new chars, and some of us even think its more fun to go make some patchwork rather than twinking a full set of cobalt for their warrior. Alas, that wont happen and i will still have to run into fools like you that complain about everything that is not the best.
I agree. I am of the mind that my characters get 4 twink items, total, period. 4. After that, they camp everything themselves unless another player is nice enough to give them something. I don't use the shared bank, except to sell items, and that money is used to buy out other people and 'play the market', not to twink.
The game is a lot more fun if you go through it the way it was meant to be gone through, discovering things, exploring, and being actually surprised by drops. Granted you have to meta-game a little to see whats out there for your main, but for your level 20-30 alt, DONT check Alla for all the best gear, just get out there, find a fun spot, and start killing stuff! See what happens!
Maybe you are forgetting that you were once a low level character who wouldnt mind having a weapon with these stats.
I also like the fact that they are making some new, fairly easy to get, good looking items. Sometimes I like to wear neat looking stuff during social events just to make an impression and maybe have some people remember me.
Hardly worth calling him spoiled there mate, it is a 5 32 (sometimes 6) sword with 2 fire resist attainable at level 19. Go get a group with a warrior mate of yours and some healer, then do the langseax quest a few times, get yourself some sweet 6 23 magic swords instead. That quest is easy with a group at level 19ish and they blow this sword out of the skies easy.
Some items are just honestly quite bad for their level (or, one could say that some items are good for their level, like the langseax) so calling him a spoiled brat is not quite the way to go.
I did start on FV from 0, worked my way to where I am but I would still not be "happy" for this sword at level 19. (But I was mighty happy for my patch work at level 5-15 like you pointed out =) )
