When a mob casts a dmg spell on you there is a slight chance that the familiar will reflect it to the caster.
so what does it do??

I guess you already bought the SoD expansion online? This is a LoN loot card that comes with the new expansion. :-)

Do familiars use the pet window? (i.e. I wouldn't claim this if I was a beastlord, correct?)I figure to ask the question now...rather than be pissed off later :)

You may get the benefits but FYI when the buff wear's off you lose both familiar and pet.

I think this was fixed some time ago, you shouldn't lose your regular pet anymore when the buff wears off or gets disspelled.

Yes they do but if you have a pet already using the window (i.e. beast warder mage elemental or the such) then it just appears on your long term buff window. It does that part anyway. You do get a message "you can't have more than one pet at a time" if you have a summoned pet already up.

Anyone know if this pet (buff) can be up at the same time as a Wizard's familiar (or after we tell the pet to Go Away)?

When the wizzy familiar is cast, he becomes your pet AND puts a buff in your buff slot. You can tell your pet to "go away" and you will still have the buff and all of the familiars effects, but you no longer "have a pet". This way you can cast your flaming swords spells/aa while still having the familiar benefits. I assume this will work the same way... Just cast your familiar, tell it to go away, then cast this new one, tell it to go away, then you can still use your sword pets (or other pets for other classes).

You can cast familiar or pet.
Then click this familiar, and you will get the "cant have 2 pets" message.
But, you will still have the buff that will go away when your current pet dies.
