Don't be so quick to judge the Luclin weapons from the listed damage ratios. It doesn't look like they take into consideration the added damage bonuses I've seen on a number of them. If they considered that, it would jack up the ratios a fair amount, I think.
Weapons with a damage bonus are more than likely better than they appear at first glance.

...plus you can always equip your pet with a weapon like this. Killing those fiend mobs, you get a fait amount of club drops!
