People are so jaded these days, back in the old days, a robe with 6 int, 15 mana and 10 MR was considered level 50 loot. Nowadays you get people like this one complaining about it. I was wearing the flowing black robes from najena up until level 35ish then I got my robe of the oracle... robe of the oracle has 5 int and 25 mana on it. Only slightly better than this robe in the mana department but no MR. Almost every robe with around 6 int is from level 35+ mobs. You aren't going to top that.

Actually I would say this isn't a bad high level cloak. Once you get around 58-60 you will most likely have int maxed and you can work on other important stats like mana, ac, and saves.

You forgot to capitalize your "I" at the beginning of your sentence, put an apostrophe between your "t" and "s" in "it's" in both occurences of the word "its", and you forgot to put a period at the end of your sentence.

:p

For people without Luclin and the graphics of course, it looks like a Tattered Tomb shroud.

Here is a pic of an Inny Dark Elf Male Mage wearing one. Same base graphic as Cyrstalline Robe, just darker.

So does anyone have a pic of what it looks like?
#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 20 2001 at 11:47 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) only 10ac, 2wt and mana bonuses? Why would a Monk waste his time getting this? The +10 svMagic? That's hardly worth getting something so heavy for Monks. At least I hope no one seriously claims this is a "Monk item". Heh
RE: Don't see any monks getting this...

While this may not be a piece of equip that a monk would wear into combat, it's not without it uses. My monk regularly practices trade skills and the +6 INT bonus would definately help reduce the time it takes to increase those skills.
Who knows, maybe if the rest of their armor is light enough the +10 vs. magic might be enough to compensate for the 2 stone weight. Plus keep in mind that as a monk gets higher in level the amount of weight they can carry without penalty also increases.

The TERM Stones comes from BETA. Verant called the weight system stones instead of pounds. JUST because there is a real life weight called stones, does not mean it applies to EQ. IT IS A GAME..!! What do you want them to call the weight system, rats asses..??

*** How much does your sword weight? WOW, only 5 rats asses, not bad..!!***

RE: Don't see any monks getting this...
# Mar 31 2002 at 2:30 AM Rating: Decent
Because Verant referred to the weight unit as a stone somewhere, and because it sounds lame to say "this item weighs 2.0 units". This is a fantasy RPG, and "units" just doesn't have the right ring to it.

I totally agree. A 'stone' is 14 pounds, or 6.4 kg. I just looked it up.

Maybe stone doesn't refer to an actual stone. There are many words with multiple meanings and stone could just be the weight unit in eq.
