I was passing through the Plane of Knowledge and checking vendors for Validus Custodus armor with my shadow knight, when I saw that someone had sold this fine weapon to the barbarian fishing supplier. Quickly, I swapped out for my rogue and paid the 86pp he was asking for it.

on karana these are 600 to 800. just bought 1 and was easy to get for 700pp. some people are actually smart enough to realize that the economy has nothing to do with it. but the fact that since all the expansions, there are many weapons out there now that blow this away and reasonably priced

Icetooths claws 11/29 go for 200 pp now, this would go for maybe 500 pp max now, oh how kunark velious and now SoL have changed things

I would have to disagree with your pricing methods.
Comparing a 1hs weapon to a Piercing weapon? You have left out that unless you are part of a good group, (or in some cases a large raiding party) 13 dmg piercing weapons are hard to come by. In fact, before all the expansions that you have mentioned went live, the *best* dmg piercing weapons a rogue could get was the Crystaline Spear (from Lady Vox) at a 13/30 ratio or this item at 13/27. This particular weapon is also nice cause it weighs much less than the CS and come with an additional +3 STR.
Now I may be off-based but this weapon would still be worth at least 2000pp (if not more) even in today's economy. I think your price of 200pp for Icetooth's Claw is right on though :)
If anyone thinks this should be worth 500pp, PLEASE look me up on the Nameless server, I will gladly buy as many as you have to sell. (and yes I know that it is LORE, but I would love to help out my rogue buddies with a weapon as nice as this)

you would be lucky to find a 12dmg piercer for under 2k mush less a 13dmg one. a small dragonbone shard which is 13/26 sells for about 5K but is limited to small races. So i'm guessing this would usually sell for about 4-6K

lev 45 to atain that is a mistake this mob is red at 46 and so is about 50 mobs you have to kill to get to him killed him on recent guild raid to get ranger epic quest item. More like damn good group of 50ish. cleric, chanter and tank heavy for sure. We had 4 groups of 45-60 and had little trouble but still had couple deaths gettin there wasnt in those groups so not sure how they died posslbe ld's or somthing but needless to say this is not attainable by a group of lev 45 no way in hell. Anyway good luck.
