Does this item stack with automated quil... i have maxed out research with geerlok and scalp. I very rarely fail on combines. Someone answer this for me?
This item drops off 'Greater Horror'. Unknown as to whether or not the others in Mons Letalis drop it, haven't had much success with all the *&%&ing KS'ers around. Bunch of @$$hole halfing Druid bastards pot-stormed the zone with Invis. and Illusion: Scaled Wolf on, trying to make a few quick p.
Note to everyone: NEVER take on any other mobs unless you loot something FULLY. LOOT BEFORE YOU GET LOOTED! That is all.
I do believe that when it has a size listed, it is not for the race that can wear it, but for what size container it will fight in. There are some containers out there that only hold medium or lower. Some that even hold small. I believe the sizes are Giant, Large, medium, Small, and tiny. Why is this important? Well, lets say you have a container that holds small or lower. I would make sure all my small or lower items go into that one. And that all my giant stuff goes in my container that holds giant stuff.
Since most good magical backpacks hold giant sized stuff, it's not to much of an issue. Like Grandmaster Bags, 10 slots, giant size. Rhallic Packs, 8 slots, giant sized.
More then likely, you never ran into the message, this item does not fit into this container.
We camped this Great Horror on a raid and he dropped the leech tendril and not the scalp. We camped his spawn spot for over an hour and no respawn. Anyone know his spawn time?
#REDACTED,
Posted:Jan 29 2002 at 1:00 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I must be missing something here. It says that shamen can wear it, but then excludes all the shaman races. To the best of my knowledge, Trolls, Tgres, Vah Shir, and Barbarians are the only shaman races, but none of these are listed under the allowed races. What gives?
you would think that by now people would recognize when the coders use the key for a group/subtype. example "wis casters" "medium races". yes you get some combos that are not possible, but jsut live with it and don't ask "why does it say that" when you haven't thought it through.
Lorddaeth...Umm, could you be a little more arrogant, please? You forgot to explain the inner workings of quantum physics.
We don't all care enough to brainstorm and ponder the throught process of Verant Programers. He simply asked a question. And by the way, the guy that posted after you pointed out that Iksars could be Shammies, to maybe before you flame people YOU should think things though, huh? Don't be so eager to share with the world you figured out the secret to class/race declaration upon item creation that you overlook the one thing that could have REALLY made you look smart. Dork, haha!
This item dropped off Greater Horror in the tunnels in Mons Letalis. There were 3 people in my group. Myself (55 shaman), 56 mage, and 53 beastlord. I landed a Turgur's on it and all 3 of us sent in the pets. Mage already had this item so I looted it. I know one thing. I like grouping with beastlords. That pet can seriously taunt when its got one of its proc spells on it. I'm able to slow mobs and within a few seconds of the beastlord pet bashing on them I can sit down and med. Considering the taunt value that my slow has that's pretty impressive. Also, the beastlords ability to heal the pet is quite impressive. The mage and I turned our pets taunting off and let the beastlord pet do all the taunting since he can heal that pet much more efficiently than either of us could heal ours. If you're going after the Greater Horror consider taking a beastlord with you.
and not hard to clear....Myself at the time (54Bst) and a lvl 51 cleric cleared this cave with just the 2 of us.....
Cleric pacified the hive Mistress, while i pulled the Thought Horror into the tunnel a little ways.. Killed it NP, then went right in and killed Hive Mistress.... and on the way out took 13 Thought Leeches in a row, 6 at once, then 3 more, then 3 more, then one last one...
I got one of these just the other day. It was myself(56 SK), 53 warrior, 53 cleric, and a monk. Mob was a breeze, got it off horror. I won the mask because cleric didn't want/need it. Seems to be a good item with wis/int and AC on it.
From other web sites i have found it drops off the Greater horror deep in the tunnels of mons letalis next to the corrupted hive mistress. the greater horror was blue to my 51 monk and red to my 44 druid, so i guess that puts it in the 46 to 50 range but it doubled for up to 195 and dropped the whip when my group killed it, they have not been willing to go again since hehe. but anyway hope this info helps
PS group was 59 pally 49 warrior 42 druid 51 or 53 ranger and 51 monk, we lived barely with the pally using LoH, so a well rounded 50+ group should be able to do the tunnels and the horror, and another PS ehhe, the bugs do not like wolf form
WOW, ok, halfing tweehugga is offended that he cant wear this <good thing you are a druid> there are a TON of items out there that alot of classes cant use, i play an iksar, not complaining, but we cant wear ANYTHING, literaly. do a search you will prob laf. dont get pissed off cause you cant use a weapon or an item, you need to perservier, take it a step up to be that much better. last nite, i was in Maidens Eye, a lvl 53 troll shaman was useing a Jaundice Bone Bracer <260mana free DD> and ALMOST out Damaging ME <lvl 57 shaman> with his EPIC. please dont cry about not being able to use items, cause when it all comes down to it, its how YOU play YOUR character!
My guess is that it's dropped by the Thought Horrors in Mons Letalis. Been there with my level 44 Halfling druid and have seen them on track. Brutal zone to hunt in without a group in my opinion. Creatures have a lot of HPs for their con and hit harder than giants (here I'm thinking of the mature Rockhoppers and Stone Grabbers who hit me in the low to mid 100's on occasion). Plus the terrain is so rugged it's easy to get adds you didn't expect due limited range of clear sight.
Thanks Harkonin. If you are on the Brell server, look up Charos or Aric. Would be glad to hunt with you there. Was there last night, 51 necro 52 necro and 48 druid. We took down the Spire Lord at teh top of the tower thing in the middle of the zone. Awesome drop from this guy. Cloak of Torment: 10 AC 4int 4wis 4str...ALL/ALL. Took about 5 minutes with both of us necros running in circles with the lord chasing us. The druid was just standing in the middle healing with Greater Heal on both of us. As for what spells to use:Splurt, Boil, Leech, and undead dd's. He is a necro with a Flurry attack as well. Was buffed in magic and ddisease resists and not one spell he cast stuck on any of us. Hard hitter. Double 150's and with Flurry attack that ain't no joke on a ccaster. Yes it hurt but we got him down. Oh yeah hte druid dots and fire based dd's stuck too. The other necro we were with apparently has NO need for sleep, as he was showign us all over the zone. There is a great tunnel with fairly easy mobs ccalled Thought Stealers. non casters with maybe 1500-200 hp. hit for 80's max. And it is clear of all wandering mobs outside. Will get the loc for you all today.
One mroe thing i forgot to say about the Lord....do not fight him on top of the tower. All the tower mobs do not see through invis. yes even though the undead spells stick they don't see through it. camo and gather shadows work. ALSO (most importantly for you snare types) he is unsnareable. Hope that really is a word hehe. And don't bother with any disease type dots. Use levi or DMF and pull him off the tower to a clear spot somewhere near. We looked around and heading straight out from his spawn point from teh tower there is a great mob clear area next to a cave. That is where we did it. Hope i haven't bored anyone and good luck with this guy. The cape is his common drop apparently. Long time spawn too. Hoping to find out what his rare or even better ULTRA rare is soon. good luck
I think midgets should be able to wear any sizes.. i mean look at peopl in real life these days. most peoples pants dont even fit them right.. just have a halfling with a really big head item )
I am totally offended! Druids can wear it but not a halfling? A gnome (which is smaller than a halfling) can wear it why not a Halfling? This is just like the Fungi Robe...Grrrr...
this would have been nice bk b4 kunark when the only time you got words for your 49 spells was from hate or fear and even then only when someone who looted them didnt just destroy them because they were of no use to them
