I was finally able to get the dagger instead of the head getting handed back at level 46. I forgot to check at 45.

Mayong Mistmoore used to drop this. He supposedly holds the secret to defeating the Sleeper but its not even sure if he evens spawns anymore, and if he does its by a GM.

No, this is an alternative to the Stanos head quest...kill Stanos Herkanor, and you can do two things with his head. First is respawn the general and get the HIE Illusion mask. The second, is to hand the head to Hanns in the rogue guild of Qeynos, and get this dagger.

No one killed Mayong before he was removed from the game.
He was one of the four level 53 mobs that were part of the unsolved version of the original Fiery Avenger quest. There was still an artificial block placed on leveling past 30 when Mayong went gm controlled. He was removed at the same time Leviathan was from lake Rathe.
He was removed partly for pathing and agro issues, and partly for a change in the story to where they wanted him to be too powerful for players to destroy.
More info on the other post you made saying the same thing in the mob graveyard.

Neither is the mask really. The effort isn't much anymore to kill Stanos. Not too mention for mask you still gotta do epic. I opted for the dagger because I've been playing since day one and this is the one dagger that has always eluded me (as they took it out from live except for GM events and what not). Also i didn't feel like doing epic again for a mask I'll never use. Dagger holds more of sentimental value hehe. GOt it today; yay. Might kill stanos a few more times and get another for mask sometime but eh I'm likin my dagger

i guess now with pop out and all the new stuff this is really not all that rare a dmg/dly combo?
but really rogue epic up to getting the box only involves 1 mob...renux. poh book can be gotten solo, so i don't think i'td be that awful to do it again for the mask..however i really don't see the usefullness unless your a DE.also since this requires general u tellin me there are rogues out there doing all but general fight of epic to get their bards this mask?? not in my lifetime.

I recently got this dagger on the Veeshan server. I can confirm that it no longer drops (I asked the head GM of Veeshan, Saiphos) and that the only way of getting it is to participate in a GM event, or buy it from someone for a huge sum of money ;)

It used to drop in Kedge Keep, before it was removed. If you don't know this, then you probably started playing after it was deemed overpowered/overcamped/BS. Like Rubicite.

This items has been confirmed it is in the game no one has found out how to get the item it is a GM quest also since no one has firgurred it out and i do know i have talked to the head costumer service personal at verant
I know someone who has this, although he didn't get it himself, he got it in a trade.

No, the item is tagged magic and no drop so it cannot be pick pocketed. You can only steal non magic, droppable items like fine steel weapons.

If you have an uber guild, just kill Stanos, and Trakanon for a Trakasaur Tooth, and this Stilleto. It's the -BEST- twinkage combo ever.
Primary: Stilleto 12/22 - awesome backstabs
Secondary: TrakTooth 10/20 - very fast for raising skill
OR, you can kill Stanos after getting RB for a RB/FSS combo (Heh, I compared a level 1 and a level 50-60 using the same weapon.. this dagger rocks)
BTW giving Hanns in the Qeynos guild this head does result in the stilleto.. I've seen it done. Stanos is -not- all that hard, your average boss mob.

It also does not drop off of Trakanon, it drops off the trakasaurus rex in trakanon's teeth.

oh on another note this item the fanged skull stilletto is a gm event dropped weapon.Is not in the game anymore.

you are incorrect. It drops off of Trakanon and it drops off the Trakasaruos. We got 3, yes 3 fangs out of Traks mouth couple weeks ago and I have gotten them from the trakasarous's too.

umm the teeth that drop off of Trakanon the Dragon are 2 dmg 30 delay used for key to VP quest. the tooth off of Trakanasaurus rex is the 10/20 dagger.

Maybe you need to do a little research before you shoot your mouth off, he's right. The Mask of the Coercer from handing stanos' head to the General (HE illusion) or the Fanged Skull Stil from hanind Stano's head to Hanns.
And to the guy that asked if General despawns after handing in the head from the HE illusion mask, yes he does.

Theres 3 ways to end the ragebringer quest, the good way (get ragebringer), not-so good way (get a high elf illusion mask), and bad way (get this stilleto). You could do quest 3 times over and get all 3 items if ya wanted to though, heh. How does this work with getting the mask and stilleto you ask? Near the end, you kill Stanos and give his head to the General for a High Elf Illusion Mask, or give the head to Hanns and get the fanged skull stilleto; this is instead of staying with Stanos to the end and giving him whatever is off the general. If you're uber I guess you would want to do the quest 2x and get the mask and ragebringer, heh.

but the mask on the other hand is better to get for a rogue :) i want one ! i have started my quest over again hehe ...but got some questions ... wont general kill you on sight when he pops (youre hidden ofcorse Duh!)and does he despawn when ya give the head . becorse if he dont despawn you can just hog along with some other rogue ding the quest and first give youre head to him and then let the other rogue kill the general for the rb

Well, the way I read it right now a group could simply off Stanos (you don't need to do the whole RB quest to get his head) and then lob his severed nogging at Hanns for the FSS. The bloody thing isn't even No Drop or anything. Now, Stanos isn't exactly a critter that dies easily but he's certainly worth killing for this sticker I'd think.

More or less most GM Quests are random and alot of stuff given out is good. By random I mean they happen alot just that people don't see them or know where to look. Example: My brother was hunting in South karana with his paladin and Gnoll avengers spawned at the spires where he was hunting and started to kill eveyone or charm them. They were gms though. How to find out. If its attaking you and cons indiff and its a Mob more then less its a GM.
Couse in events like that you can usealy sometimes get decent loot if you can manage to kill the monsters.
Couse if you petition a Gm and ask really nicely you might be able to get a quest for one. Go to E'ci and pester therdar hes a good GM, the ninja dwarf of E'ci

This item isn't flagged 'Artifact'. Does that mean that I can ask a GM for the quest and if he/she is nice enough they'll give it to me? Or was it part of a planned event and a lucky rogue got one and that's it? Any help would be great.
