before Luclin...Yea, its sad.... very sad, If you did a search for piercing weapons in general, then eliminate all the crappy ones, like even worse ratio then fine steel..... take whats left and select a magical one.... and have a new characters bank account (like lets just say 20pp) there were NO decent ones.
You had stuff like harpoon of the depths, slime coated and the beetlestinger (which I saw sell for 100 pp)
.. I looked. This thing is rather nice and the mob really is not hard and its pretty common (of COURSE they have to make it lore though right?)

What I really dont get is how dumb people are on the economy. I WOULD pay 30pp for this, I mean if your too young to get your own and a fine steel from a merchant costs 70pp :) Id pay my 20pp to get one.

# Dec 23 2001 at 5:53 PM Rating: Decent
i have just purchased one of these nice spears for my ranger (pd 30pp for it hope i didnt get ripped) anyhoo...i do not, repeat do not have SoL installed in my machine...yet, i have had no problems with it...it shows up, does damage..the whole 9 yards...so, with that said...is this just another of verants tactics to make us shell out unecessary cash? we may never know. anyone else have this happen? or is it a nice bug in my machine?

The weapon comes from Luclin - if you want to acquire it without buying it, you need to have access to the zone that it drops in.
FINALLY!
# Dec 18 2001 at 6:46 AM Rating: Decent
Finally a poker a paladin can use that is accessible! well, ok, in a group, but for the level, damage/delay is nice. Hopefully my wee pally will be heading up here soon to track down something nice to poke things with and practice poking for when she can get one of those really nice spears (like that 20/30 one that drops in one of these zones). Sigh, gonna be a while tho.

Psycoholic has a point, their name is "BOGling" as in creature from a bog(or swamp if you prefer). Which is subtly diffrent from "boggling", which is the word you are thinking of.

You're mistakingthe proper (albeit fictional) noun, "Bogling," w/ the adjectivial, "boggling". It does seem to have boggled you anyway though.
