These gauntlets are on My 58 pally, STR/STA 8 is great, AC sux i know but i'll be sticking with these till I can get my Ornate.
The mob they drop of is level 43+ in Fungus grove and damned easy to take out. Not a bad drop from that level.

Baah with proper weight management these arent too bad for a monk as most of his/her gear and weps weigh .1 to 2 lbs and every 5 LVLs you get another lb to play around with but i wouldnt put em on mine hehe

Ohh and to you monkies out there how do ya like the fact ya cant drop change anymore /grin

Not funny! I just had a guy split 2k CP on me in the middle of major battle spam :( didn't notice it till I was getting hit like max damage every time. GRRRRRRRR

First of all, monks don't get extra 1 wt per 5 levels, starts out 15, 30, 45, 51, 55, 60, those are the levels. Goes up at different rate 55 and 60, 2 each instead of 1.

2nd, you sound like my shaman friend about the coin thing. I back hand him whenever he gives me problems about coins when we fighting together. =P

Lastly, I'm wearing these gloves now on monk, guildy gave to me when I was still wearing GIGs, and plan to wear these till I get my epic (soon, I hope) or get a few other heavy pieces of equipment I need more, and will drop if needed to make room. They have decent AC and nice sta, str doesn't hurt either.

Incase you didn't know you can destroy cash, so it doesnt really matter if us monks cant drop it on the ground.

WT: 2.2, way to heavy for a monk. This is good item for Rogues, Warriors, Beasts, Bards and probably for SK's, Pally's, and Rangers. But way to heavy for monks.

My level 10 monk uses these and is still well under the weight limit. You can afford to have a couple heavy slots like this. And as for being a melee class only item note the All/All tag. I also have a pair of these on my chanter because it was a big upgrade. I lost some cha I didn't need for some badly needed AC and sta. A really nice piece.

oh man cha is so important to a chanter, i never realized this till i got to arount the 30's but so important.... i can mez red mobs now, and charm for over 5 min with the proper spells and my cah is 189 with radiant visage buff.. btw chanter is lvl 43

14wt limit on monks at lvl 1 to 20 at lvl 55 (those darn 60's get 25. Poo on them) Not too rough just got to watch it. I'm currently wearing a neumber of items in the 2-3 range. (adamantie club 3, Fungi 2, Strength of the Elements 2, Axgorm's Belt of Defence 2, and Tink bag x2 2). Unless twhinking a monk upgrading to this at apporiate lvl would have his epic or be getting it pretty soon. (and IMHO a monk can get his epic without a bunch of freinds or a guild unlike many other classes).

#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 14 2001 at 6:03 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) nah. it's not way to heavy for a monk. it is a little heavy for a monk, but nothing too horrible.

2.2 isn't really that heavy for a 50s monk. can't remember what the weight allowance is (only a 45 monk and mine's 17 i think=P). there's some times when you can sacrifice a bit of ac for a good item, and 12 ac would probably still add ac, unless you were over the limit to begin with (besides, 8str and sta is pretty damn good)

just my opinion=P
