With Howling Stone being a hot spot these are going cheap on Stromm server. I am currently listing my at 500pp in bazaar, and still cant sell. Good for the buyer bad for the seller.
hi! this weapon is great! i got it yesterday for 1k on fennin ro server and my 11 rogue was bsing for 55. It was crazy! i highly recommend this wep for rogues of every lvl. the proc is good too
My warrior is level 26 BTW... Yes, this is my first twink...
I'm going with the modern school on tanks, which means swing faster than hell to make agro, but don't necessarily put out alot of damage. Reason is, if you can build enough agro to keep it, casters will put out more damage than a tank could ever dream of doing.
In my off hand, I have a lamentation. I actually switch them back and forth depending on which skill is catching up, and the situation.
With my AGI at 161, these are an awesome combination. Granted, my warrior is only 26, but he can take down yellows with no sweat solo.
Blues are cake.
My fiance has a new cleric, as well... Great team. Currently, we're owning Zels and Lightcrawlers in DSP.
My review of this weapon : ***** 5 out of 5 stars!!
For any tank, it's fast with good damage. In addition, the lifetap proc is something to look forward to.
If you're post 50, this looks like the end all be all of agro making weapons that drop pre-PoP. I may be wrong, but if I am, I'd be interested in having it pointed out to me.
This weapon cost me 1100pp, and was worth every single coin.
A few things. Firstly, this is most definitely *not* big aggro. Lifetaps tend to be very low aggro, as any pure damage proc is. An 80 point Lifetap or DD has the same aggro as an 80 point melee hit. There are many weapons pre-PoP that are mainstays for aggro. Namely, Blade of Carnage, Bloodfrenzy, Hategiver, etc.
Actually, I find Lifetap to be a very good aggro builder... I swing a Black Acrylia Halberd, with a 45 pt lifetap... 40/48 makes it slow, but I can pull aggro from most people I fight with, and it's more pronounced as the procs increase. Lifetap is actually acts as double aggro, as there is a damage component that builds aggro, AND a heal component that builds aggro... Effectively, this would be same as hitting mob for 160 pts... And lifetap procs seem to go off more than some other procs. With a dex of 255, I get a proc about 1 in 3 hits... Not shabby at all.
Yeah you will find this to be awesome agro due to 2 factors. Proc = extra dmg output and life tap = heal agro ( healing being a source of huge agro ) so lifetap procs will pull nicely on the agro chart.
The other reason bloodpoint is nice aggro is proc RATE. This thing procs almost as often as a cleric summoned hammer, if you have high dex. Sure it won't outaggro a CHoS, but it seems to do as well as a frostbringer, which is a weapon in the same price category.
Of course, that low level warrior isn't reffering to the proc, since he's too low for it.
i am interested in buying one of these if you are selling one im on the Solusek Ro server and my char. name is Binelin. if you are willing to sell one email me at kid181910@aol.com
Managed to pick one of these up for my 30th troll warrior. Was expecting to see the unique yari look but instead only saw a basic dagger. Is this a recent bug or has the trolls always missed out on the nice look?
now that i have said that, can someone tell me how to get DEX up to 152? is it only armor, items, food, jewelry, and other buffs (magic, or is there something that happens once you cross a level threshold (like 29 for damage bonuses)?
It's all gear. Most magic gear gives modifiers to your stats. Spells and such also give stat bonuses (that's what Shaman do)
152DEX is not terribly had to get. STR gear is easier to acquire, because theres more of it. STA gear is one of the hardest to get, so if you see some, and your STA is not yet about 100, fill that gap, then get everthing else.
I got 2 bloodpoints for 1650pp each today and they rock. with my DEX at 152 I can finally solo dark blues again with these babies procing 6-7 times during a fight. Really takes the sting out of healing in a group too. Not seen many warriors with this weapon but they are really missing out.
I am a lvl 35 rogue and have a few good peircers to choose a good combination from. Im not sure what would be the best combination so if any of you could help that would be greatly appreciated. I currently own these:
Blood Point Hardened Bone Spear Locustlure Jagged Ice Shard Rabid Chokidai Fang
Being lvl 35 none of them proc yet. I like the Fang in primary for BS, max is 278. Is there any other peircer I could buy that would give me a more effective combo than any of these could? Once again any input would be greatly appreciated.
I would have the Hardened Bone Spear in Primary and get a Sebilite Croaking Dirk for off hand, its about 5k and 10damage 18delay AC4 cha/agi+2 and svmagic/poison+5 its one of the fastest droppable daggers out there and you can do some mad damage with it. The hardened bone spear has great stats and str is always a good thing and is very light so sta wont drop very fast if at all.
i am a 37th almost 38 rogue with a 160ish bs i know skill is low long story my str is now 164 full gear i am useing a sch in main and a unadorned bone dagger in off i am noticing on a bs i will typical about 104 and high end is about 164 but when i am absolute crap i do 37 is this odd or is there a way to figure the possible dmg
i mean i know my on my average bs its about between bses i do about 225 dmg with the bs included so i dont think i am doin to bad but still i cant figure out how when i bumped up my str my bs shot up to the same number someone please confirm or set me straight as to what is goin on
I use a bloodpoint a club of ocean 14 27 149dd. i have 180 dex and i was soloing elements in hole at 52 im a 55 war now and am still doing fine w them i can solo a guardian dog( what ever its full name is lol) in kc w a few buffs when money permits il upgrade but they are fine cheap combos

I have been thinking about getting on for my 53 war. Right now he is using a guard captain's mallet and a lammy. Should i keep this combo or get a BP and toss which one to sell?
I'm currently wielding one of these with my Frostbringer, Blood point in main hand, and Frosty in off hand. My question is, should i keep my current combo or put the frosty in my main hand? I'm just wondering because i've seen this done both ways
BP in the main, FB in the offhand. Speed always go to the main hand. Either which one will snag a lot of agro, so don't worry about that, just keep the BP in your main.
1.) This weapon (Blood Point) is expensive. AND 2.) Why nearly every Rogue I know has one in their off-hand (wielding Ragebringer in main-hand).
The Blood Point is only a tiny bit faster than a CSF (Crystalline Spider Fang) at 10/21, so it's not too too damaging -- but it gets the job done pretty damn fast with the small delay, and keen effect.
The level 50 Effect, or 'Proc', "Siphon" drains 80 HP from your attacker, and heals you for that amount (80 HP). This, and the rarity of the Blood Point, is what you're paying for.
In theory, this should make soloing just a bit easier -- depending on your DEX. (The amount of times the weapon will proc depends upon your DEX -- the higher your DEX is, the more times the weapon will proc). This Effect should also, in theory, cut back on how often you're healed while in groups -- depending on how often the weapon procs.
The stats -- +5 STR is nice. STR adds to your ATK, thus allowing you to hit/backstab harder. -5 CHA ... a little sad if you actually care about how much the vendors charge you for their items, but otherwise it's really not a big deal.
The saves -- also nice. +10 SVP +10 SVD. Poison/Disease are some of the harder resists to raise.
Blood Point doesn't make a good main-hand weapon, but with the Ragebringer (epic) in main-hand and the Blood Point in off-hand, the results are amazing. :)
Enjoy this weapon. I do not know of many other off-hand weapons that surpass it, or amount to it.
Savannah Shadowlisse Rake of the 54th backstab Zebuxoruk Server
I'm in love with my Blood Point. Non-Epic as of yet, and I put my higher damage piercer (11/22) away to mainhand this weapon, and Centi SS offhand to keep my 1hs up, and for the STA (Yeah, I'm poor) I don't really mind the lower Backstabs, because when you factor in the procs in the fight, it probably evens out pretty close.
The saves rule, the STR rules, and if you don't like the -5cha, just take it off when you sell. I go from 40CHA to 73 when I take my -CHA items off, with some crappy NoDrop CHA idol I picked up in RM.
The proc is great, and will hit a LOT with the right buffs. At my natural of 130DEX, I expect this to proc 1-3 times in a fight. With HoS, it ups me to 180DEX, and it procs about 3-6 times in a fight. Throw a Boon of the Garou in there to max the DEX out at 255, and we're talking non-stop lifetaps, 80 for BP and 31 for Boon, I've see BP proc 8 times on a single Drolvarg in KC - Tack on another 5 for the Boon Lifetap and we're talking serious HP. Not only that, but it's LIFETAP. All the health you suck up comes from the mob, so you're tackin' up damage faster and faster.
Generally, with just HoS or any DEX Buff on, I can keep myself healed in a normal group, receiving the occasional hit from the mob when you land a big BS.
The prices here are deceiving, I picked mine up for a sweet sweet 1700pp, and have seen others on sale for 2000pp. This should become a defacto Rogue weapon post-40s, unless you're packin a LOT of plat.
But hell, even if you're not a Rogue, this a nice weapon. I regularly see Warriors packing a BP, even 2 since they're not lore, and can hold agro like it's nothing, and take some pressure off healers.
My level 55 troll warrior is now wielding a pair of these. Combined with Boon of the Garou and a Druid Regen spell makes for pretty good hp regen. 80hp taps from the 2 BP's, 32hp taps from Boon, plus the regen spell and troll regen. Can fight slowed mobs in Skyfire and will usually not lose more than a bub of health over the fight. Will sometimes actually gain hp in a fight when a bunch of proc's go off. Also pretty darned good for holding aggro.
Lol, don't forget the huge gain in Dex you get from boon. That makes them proc like crazy. I use to have 2 also and with boon, i proced 4 times in 4 hits once.
Usually have Shaman buff, Harnessing of Spirit, on as well; so Dex usually maxed out. Even with the Dex pinned at 255, proc frequency seems to vary quite a bit.
Im just wondering why people twink thier warriors/rogues with this. It's very good but not that great until 50. Until that time you should use Sarnak Backstabber or Crystalline Spider Fang.
Also, I definatly reccomend this to all rogues (and warriors) 50 plus. I am duel wielding these with Haste Handwraps and believe me it is a sweet combo. On downside is that the backstabs arent as good as some of the cheaper piercers (Jagged Ice Shard, Small Dragonbone Shard, Grimling Pick, etc)but the proc makes up for that.
I had been using a lammy main hand with a centi LS offhand for a few levels. I saw one of these going for 5k (They are normally 5-6k, the price was dropping for awhile but seemed to settle here) I traded him my lammy + 2k and some change for it. I only had 40 in peircing skill but it doesn't really matter because after only one hour of hunting it was up to 80 and soon I will be back to my old self. I didn't know that it would not proc until 50 and that was a little alarming but it is still an amazing weapon boasting a better ratio then the lammy with only 2 higher delay keeping my taunt factor high. My dex is rather low at 88 right now but most of the time I am in a group it is buffed over 100. judging by the messages this thing will proc once and occaisonly twice in a fight with 88 Dex if the fight lasts about 25-35 seconds. (which most will if your in a good group). If my dex is over 100 it should provide at least an extra 80-240 hp in fight. Which more then makes up for the loss of 20 hp+ hp's from stamina that the lammy has. Good luck and I would recommend keeping your peircing up if you are a warrior, it is annoying raising it later. One of thise with a frostbringer will be devastating, drool :P
