The effect is 45 like all other Kunark items and you have to equip it to right click.

The level for the effect is 45, like all the other Kunark armors. With the patch, it should say when you can use the effect anyway.

Yeah right 800pp LOL this is one of the best dropable Beastlord BP's in the Game , Idiots who don't know Beastlords look straight at the AC & say that its crap , AC14 = Crap yes , But AC14 + effect ac19 = Very Nice ,Because the effect stacks with every form of AC buff in the Game it really is an AC23BP show me many better ? Only the Phase Spider carpace is better IMHO & not by much

Missed this drop tonight, wasn't there for the raid but as soon as I logged in I was told about it. I was really upset thinking I must have missed a h*ll of a good drop til I saw the stats. This is a desent piece but a joke for the mob it takes to get it and it doesn't even come close to the stats of the other tunics he drops (other classes of course). This tunic maybe droppable but I'm just looking for wearable.

P.S. Already got a PSC and it is alot better. I was easily killing Phase spiders at lvl 50 with a druid friend and even solod a few. NOT A GUILD EVENT !!
What does AC 28 calculate out to be? Not to mention other stats!

Just my thoughts about this mob / tunic .

The total AC is 33, NOT 23.

The only downside with this tunic is the damage shield component and here is why.

Monsters that can summon will not do so unless you have damaged them. If you have this tunic and a summoning monster swings at you as you run past, and it hits you, you will have damaged the monster.

The monster will now begin to summon you back as you try to flee and you will *never* get away unless someone pulls agro from you.

Don't believe me? Read Verant's comment on why they changed the Necromancer Divine Aura spell "Quivering Veil of Xarn". This spell was nearly worthless as long as it had the damage shield component. Sure, you'd be invulnerable for 10 seconds, but since the monster would keep summoning you back you would never be able to escape.

Anyway, that is the only downside to this tunic and in my opinion it still kicks butt.

Yeah i don't think this is true either. Firstly i've seen clerics summoned often, and secondly damage shields are recorded as enviormental damage rather than damage caused by the player and as such don't increase agro (thats why you can see mobs disappear when they die from hitting you and killing themselves from your DS alone).

Maybe the summoning is different in different realms? Certainly the Planes summon anyone they don't like, regardless of if they damage the mob or not.

True, You really want as much DS as you can get, it helps every little bit. I am trying to find out how much exactly is this DS for? It's the only reason I am interested in the tunic. Now, If you happen to want to give me this tunic I'm on Tarew Marr, LOL ;)

Let's get lost, I know the way.. I've been there before.. ;)

hm.. this is personal experience, so.. dont flame me this is just what i have seen.

mobs wont summon you till they are down approc 2-4% of their HP.

Refresh time on summon is 18 seconds.

proof- i was running lodi around waiting on clerics mana, a druid dot'd it, and it didnt summon me till around 96% (yet it had taken around 50 damage between DS and roots. also, i saw a Vindi raid go bad (vindi was still around 95%HP), and with his regen he was back up to 98% and i ran all the way to EW (i was non KOS to giants at the time, but i HAD done damage to vindi so i did have some agro) without getting summoned. Also, on the lodi kill, he didnt chain summon me, but summoned me every 18 seconds or so..

I won't pretend to be an expert, and I know different expansions have different rules on such things, but in Plane of Innovation I have been summoned by monsters I haven't laid a finger(or spell) on. I saw a train coming, shouted the train, intending to zone right afterwards, and as I was typing I got summoned and immediately and brutally dismembered. The mob was rather far from me and it's origin was some place reasonably far away.

RE: Effect
# Sep 19 2002 at 11:19 AM Rating: Decent
You may be right, but triggered is the right click term, permanant is the effect term for worn.
Just my 2cp.
But I do believe it is triggered and not permanant.
Not as bad as it looks

If you bother to look at the effect it adds another 19 ac which doesnt seem to make the 14ac on the tunic look to bad

Why would you still wear it when you can just right click for the effect, then go and put your PSC back on and get good ac from BP and the ac from the right click. Not to mention at higher levels your buff window will be filled quite frequently and you wont have room for such a minor buff and it will go unused.

The tunic itself is crap, cept for the effect.

This is worth no where near the 20k people have been askin me for it. Why would i spend 20k on this when i can get a Phase spider carapace for 13-15k or so and save 5-7k and have a better BP.

I play a lvl 56 beastlord, and no i would never pay 25k for this.

Maybe 3k or so, and just use it for the right click when soloing then switch to my normal bp.
Cant really use it when grouped, i usually dont have the room for such a minor buff :)

I wonder what level you have to be at to use the effect on this now? At least this item has stats on it, makes it almost worth while to buy one. That is if anyone bothers to go and get one to sell.

I presume that it's now level 46, which is the level that you have to be to use the effects on the other class specific Karnors/Sebilis dropped armor pieces.

it is... hes a newbie who hasnt gotten past 20 but decided to open the hole in his face anyway... It sucks they tossed this on trak cause it just lowered the chance for a cobalt bp to drop even more... bastards!

45 for kunark armor!

Also its some sick **** when the druid tunic has more ac then this does... 17 ac on elder spiritists breastplate... 14 on wild lords Bastards!

Medium Item on Advanced Spawn?
# Feb 14 2002 at 11:51 AM Rating: Default
Does this actually drop off a Dragon or is that an error? I know people have been finding some of these armor pieces in Karnors.

This doesn't seem like it should be a dragon drop item.

Yes, the Kunark class specific armor drops in Karnor's as well. However, the BP for these armor sets (that includes the Wild Lord's Tunic) drops off of Trakanon. Similar to how the greaves drop off of Venril Sathir in KC. Now, if you find a Wild Lord's TUNIC in KC off some random mob, that'd be worth noting...

Hey Miriamele. This is Burt's son. Anywho I was wondering how much the WL Tunic Goes fo on Brell. Also any other piece besides the boots. if u know of the price of any of the wild lords pieces for these slots: Legs Wrist Arm Glove Helm, Please send me a tell in game(Note: i wonn't be on til late on 10/8 close to midnight est). Look for Shadowalkr he will be in EC auction as usual and if u are intrested in selling any nice monk gear (buyable high end) OR Buying any dropable High End Rogue Gear (off the top of my head i know i have a Shissar Scale BP and Bloodpoint.) For List of Monk Gear i need OR List of Items I'm Selling E-Mail me at and i will reply to you asap.

P.S. Kunark Armor right clicks at 45 not 46. the only piece of kunark armor that works before 45 is the bard gloves aka Singing Steel Gauntlets. and kunark armor is for melees excluding monks and priests but they added in the Mana Robe for Int Casters and the Cloak of Piety for monks and melees so int casters and monks should be fairly easy to get to go on a trak raid.... its the VSR/VS raids its a pain to get monks enc mag and nec to get to go on. =p
RE: Kunark Armor
# Dec 28 2001 at 8:46 AM Rating: Default
Monks have a Kunark line. It's called Crescent and drops off Kly in Dalnir.
RE: Kunark Armor
# Dec 31 2001 at 8:07 PM Rating: Decent
No, that's a different ideology altogether.

The "Kunark Armor" is armor that is dropped by minions in Karnor's Castle and Sebilis, and also by Trak'Anon and Venril Sathir. These types of armor have spells as their effects. Crescent armor has none of these common traits. It just happens to be MNK only.

There is no cloth/silk/leather Kunark armor (with the exception of Beastlord Kunark armor). And yes, that's totally bogus.

druids wear leather armor, and there is druid Kunark armor. So, in fact, there is leather armor in Kunark, just not monk armor/pure caster armor.

btw, the druid armor is called Elder Spiritist.
RE: Kunark Armor
# May 17 2002 at 4:00 PM Rating: Default
Elder spiritists is chain buddy... it looks like plate icon but is a dark green chain armor... bet ya thought you had that guy there... and no Monk/caster kunark class armor. Crescent is no drop, kunark class armor is droppable... theyre in no way related.

beastlords like pure casters dont need raw ac hell its got 9 wis on its not that bad

#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 14 2001 at 11:42 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Everyone seems to be forgetting that Beastlord's get the ac bonus for weight like monks. Therefore this "crappy" tunic gets a rather large boost in ac value just because it weighs 0.5, think of how uber this would be for a monk to have. If they made the wild Lord armor have ac even near what the rest of the kunark armor, a Beastlord with a full set would have ungodly ac. and thats without them buffing their agi and other stats.
RE: Forgetting something?
# Jul 30 2002 at 9:04 AM Rating: Default
First beastlord dont get a ac bonus based on weight like monks. They get a innate ac bonus with no restrictions, no where near the bonus a monk gets, like an iksar would.

Second, beastlord doesnt have any agi buff, only strength stam and dex.

Dont post what you dont know please.

Vermiculated Tunic. Drops in Plane of Fear off a blue con to lvl 50 Gorgon.

AC 15, str 9, sta 9, wis 13, hp 35.

So you're looking at 5 more dex 5 more agi, quite a bit less hp when you add up the stamina difference, less mana with the wisdom at the lvl you'd have these items, and less AC and str. And this is compared to a Fear drop for a druid. /shrug Seems like Beastlords are getting kinda laughable stuff as their Kunark set. Better off than monks, I guess. But do you really wanna kill Trak and loot something that you are gonna be giving to your twink? Or worse...what if this is the top of the line for Beastlord useable armor? /gasp
RE: Umm
# Mar 01 2002 at 2:24 AM Rating: Default
Wait, you're comparing Kunark class based armor to planar armor? Tell me how that makes sense...

Compare the Wild Lord's Armor to the Elder Spiritist's Armor (if comparing BST to DRU) and then say something. ES is druid only Kunark armor, much like how WL is BST only Kunark armor. And ES gear isn't something to gawk at (it's heavy and uses spells, with no stats to it aside from AC [except for BP and greaves which do have stats]). If you're gonna compare WL Tunic, compare it to ES BP:

Elder Spiritist's Breastplate:

AC 17
DEX: +6 WIS: +9 AGI: +6 MANA: +80
Effect: Chloroplast
WT: 10.0
Class: DRU

This drops off Trakanon as well.
RE: Umm
# Feb 25 2002 at 8:14 PM Rating: Default
If u consider the effect given it is a plus 18ac and 3pt ds making this a very nice chestpiece. 32ac in anything is never to be laughed at especially by a leather wearing class.
RE: Umm
# Dec 17 2001 at 7:27 PM Rating: Default
Well two of the Beastlord class (Iksar and Vah Shir) have inherently natural AC anyway, so this would be reasonable for them, bit sucky for the barbs/ogres/trolls though. Best comparison (rather than druid planar from Fear) would be to find the BL hate/fear planar armor.
RE: Umm
# Jun 05 2002 at 9:47 AM Rating: Default
Vah dont get the bonus iksar do, it would make them too powerful, i mean, plate AND an ac bonus, now correct me if i'm wrong but scales give ac bonus, fur doesn't.

Melee get more equipment then casters
Casters do alot more damage and have more power
its verants way of evening it out
RE: ......
# Dec 14 2001 at 11:55 PM Rating: Default
Casters deal more damage than Melee? I wanna see any caster deal the damage in a fight where someone can hold agro that is equal to a rogue. I guess when wizzies had giant bane and they could bind anywhere and fights with tormax would be very wizard intensive, but overall, no way. It is alot easier for casters to max int and have resists than it is for a melee to balance all the melee stats and have good saves. Still, melee will prevail almost everytime. Exceptions may be the 10 second 32k mob fights that now happen. But for any mob that has velious level hp, a caster will never out do a melee of the same level. Obviously Rogues and Monks are the first, followed by Rangers/Warriors then Pallies/Sks. I would even take a full group of pet classes against a melee group. They melee group will win more than half the kills, easily if there are two rogues in that group, prolly 80% of the time, duelist and deadeye are sick 8|
