Duel wield?

Can someone who owns one please let me know if this can be traded in and out of off hand while keeping something (weapon) in the primary hand? I am thinking you can't but knowing for sure would be nice. The only droppable wind instrument that I know can be traded in and out of primary with something in off hand is Bloodstained Flute. Am looking for a flute that I could use in secondary. Any info would be helpful, thanks.

No instrument can be duel weilded. You can only hold it in your secondary slot with nothing else in your primary. Trust me, I wish you could...8)

No, Singing Short Sword is a weapon with an instrument modifer. Supposively you don't blow into your sword to make it play.

(Well, until they broke the graphic again. Now you apparently shove it through your eye to make it play)

Modifiers.
# Jun 02 2003 at 12:58 AM Rating: Decent
Magelo says this has a modifier of 2.2, as compared to a wooden flute which is only a 1.8 modifier. So, this one is good, however the Darkwood Piccolo is a 2.4 modifier, according to magelo. So this one is a pretty darn good flute, and a bit easier to get than the Darkwood. Hope this helps.

Latest patch (APRIL 9, 2002), lists this as Vah-Shir usable
increase to bardsong
# Jan 29 2002 at 2:16 PM Rating: Excellent
The Flute of Eternal Night adds 30% to bardsong when used by a 60 Bard playing Song of Twilight (mezz, -svM).
Compair to Lyssa's Darkwood Piccolo which adds 35% to song (using same 60 bard and SoT), has no stat bonuses and drops off Mr. Cazic Thule himself.
Hope this helps. Thanks to Celestieal for testing it for us.

Xenithen Sterbla drops the flute and the Girdle. The flute is pretty rare. Took about ten kills for it to drop.
Xenithen flaps around the lower part of the Coterie Castle, and goes right past the front door. You can get him solo if the guards at the front are dead or light blue.

We got it off a winged named caster vampyre who spawned just inside the Castle gate in TM. Can't remember his name, cuz they all look alike, but I do know it wasn't on the 2nd or 3rd floor.

I got one of these today. We were MLing so I'm not sure which specific MOB, but it would have been one of the coterie in the big fort near the east wall of the zone. Probably one of the named from second or third floor. My friends have been hunting there for several weeks now and have never seen one of these.

Anyhow I gotta rant.

No songs work on Luclin launch day.
No AE songs work still

Vah Shir Illusion mask doesn't have human listed
This doesn't have Vah Shir listed.

They remove AE to Group-only on the stackable haste songs

They need to do more testing in general.. but from now on they should pay special attention to bards since they ***** something up for us almost every patch.
The real bard question
# Dec 16 2001 at 6:23 PM Rating: Decent
the question we all wish to know as bards is song effect increase. If you have one please post the song and effect equiped and unequiped and your lvl please. If we can get 3 differant lvls then pass it on to EQ diva too. maybe Dual a friend and have them tell you the effects equiped and unequiped. For all bards we thank you.

No Kittys?
# Dec 13 2001 at 5:30 PM Rating: Default
Picture says Vah Shir can't use this. A bug on Verants part or intentional?
#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 14 2001 at 7:58 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Also doesn't list wood elves...
#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 14 2001 at 8:04 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I think ELF means Woodelf. Like HEF is High Elf, and DEF is Dark Elf, and Half Elf is....I dunno...but it's something different :P

ELF does mean Wood Elf...but HEF is Half Elf.

High elves cannot be bards. Although I'm sure it's just an oversight on Verants part about the Vah Shir bards. I hope.
