I finally got one of these babies after saving up for a while. I got it for 600pp from a guy in BB, who was apparently trying to sell it and couldn't find anyone to give it away to. He probably would have sold it for less if i didn't shout out if anyone was willing to sell a slimy 'poon for 600. :)
After much frustration tring to get a high 30's group to camp the chancellor in LOIO for his prod, i left and was headed back to halas to work on some skills. Stop by FP to do some banking and this nice halfling was selling the Slimer for 700PP. All i had on me was 635PP but he took it and im in heaven now. Good luck to you all.
Mu 23rd Rougue received a slimer last night as a gift from a higher level friend. Unfortunately I need to return it to her sometime. :( This thing absolutely rocks!! My highest backstab with my stiletto of the bloodclaw was 55. I was expeccting the slimer to hit 70-80 damage. Was I very surprised and elated to see 95 on my first attempt!! WOOT!
I've been itching to get one of these for a very long time, and I think I've got enough cash for it now that the price has supposedly dropped to 500pp. If anyone's willing to sell one for 500, give Daviv a tell on the Xegony server.
I really don't think this is an average price. One or two might have sold for this, but someone ditching an item at a bargain basement price because they don't feel like spending a couple of hours in EC doesn't make it the going rate. Back around Christmas, this was going routinely for 3K. I really don't see it dropping that much when only a few other 10 damage saleable rogue piercers have entered the market. I believe that the 9-1200 range (with 1K being the average) is much more accurate, and reflects what I have seen in EC and Fay-Mart over the last month or so.
Yeah and back around Christmas cougar claw earrings were going for 1000pp...so what's your point? Stupid to bring up the price of something 8-9 months ago.
Ok, i know there are better weapons oput there (trak tooth LEAPS to mind), but i lucked out and picked this up for 100pp in NFP. At lvl 39, still loving this, paired with a blackjack, or velium warsword.

Me and a buddy of mine got together a lil dice game and this was in the pot. I won it). I dont think I'd trade it fer the world.....a better harpoon, yes, the world, no.
This is a random uncommon drop throughout the zone. I've seen two, in three trips to Sebilis. One dropped off a frog near necro camp, the other at disco 1. They will be wielded by the frog if he has it, and don't worry, it won't be fine steel :-).
The rate at which Sebilis is camped currently on Karana means that this item is becoming extremely common and the price is under 1k.

I was standing at the zone in the other day and saw a froggie shaman at the bottom holding a spear.... i said, 'frog shaman with a spear, just fs?' Immediately some people pulled it and said it was a slime coated harpoon.
My sister is about to get a spine chill spear... however, is puzzled.
Which is better for a rogue, the spine chill spear or this? This doesnt help a rogue very much (the plus mana and the plus wiz) but the stats are better (4 less delay.) Also, the spine chill has +some cold resist, and plus some other things.. both fall in the kpp's
Go with SCH! All rogues should avoid procing weapons... Especially on higher levels, as proc usually tends to taunt the mob (even if its only a 37 dd), which in the rogues case mean he cant backstab and he will also need a lot of heals because of low ac and hp. Sure rogues can evade but it still helps not to proc.
I'd say this. Spine Chill Spear is 10dmg, 28 delay, this has 3 less delay. True, the Spine Chill Spear has some stats, you'll be better off with this. I don't play a rogue, but I know that 3 less delay does help (extra attack every 8 rounds). The Spine Chill has +10 sv cold, nice if you raid cold stuff a lot (Vox, etc) but overall I'd go with this.
Got one of these for my level 13 twink rogue .. traded Ravenscale Leggings for it ... its a real nice weapon ... cant wait till dmg cap comes off .. atm i do backstabs for 50 dmg with it... Just my 2 coppers.

My NON-TWINK rogue was backstabbing for at least 60 at lvl 13 with a bloodstained fang (9dmg 32dly). I guess it's just that dwarf rogues are sweet. At the moment I'm level 18 with the same old weapon (I hate being a non-twink) and have gotten up to 79 =P. Can't wait til I get one of these and I hit level 20, when the REAL cap goes up. Oh and a comment on Tallicus' post below: Heh I love using that tactic on warriors in the arena. When I was 11 I almost wasted a level 17 warrior like that but unfortunately there was a 55 chanter who fried me before I got the kill.
Hey, I have a great idea, Guru David! Instead of insulting him because he is not doing as much damage as you, why don't you offer suggestions that help. Personally, I think it's a rather useless waste to slam somebody because they are not doing as much damage as you. Help people out.
I can do 59 with it). Oh yeah, if you have one of these and are a rog, get into an arena and hide/sneak, get up behind someone and.....BACKSTAB! Then quickly hit the hide button again. I have killed players 10 lvls higher than me with this dark little rogue-like technique. Dont kill the same person over and over like this though, really good way to lose friends)

you're an ***... believe it or not, there ARE players that do not twink, and would just like a decent weapon. Unfortunately some people have abandoned the game for "uber lewt" (whoever came up with that phraze should be beaten shot and drug by horses across broken glass) This is indeed a decent weapon. Worth 1000p? maybe.. but there is no need to flame the rogue for his post.
From now on.. play nice.. or i'm going to put you in the "thinking chair"
Oh goody, another post. I think that people should relize that just because they dont know how to make money, or just dont wanna do it, doesnt mean that the people who do should feel sorry for them. I hate twinkies. I have had 2 things GIVEN to me on my rogue, a walrus tooth as a newbie, and +2str ring as a newbie. Lots of people look at my equip and start saying, "oooh, big bad and twinked." and I love it because I am not twinked at all. Take that crap that you wanna trade, invest it and a lil money into a trade skill, earn 10-20pp and get a TP to NK and work your way to EF. Not a hard trip, did it at lvl 3 many times. Collect HQ bears until you can't stand the friggin things, get another TP to WC, get to EC and sell them fer 35pp a piece. Money, money, money. After you get an ok equip from that, KILL STUFF! Then you'll be looting things that can be sold fer good money. Slowly but surely you will be able to afford that beloved weapon. Then you'll get sick of it, sell it, get more money and buy a better one....ahhh, life in Norrath....beautiful.
