Respawn time of mobs other than DU

I have noticed a lot of folks saying the respawn time on the mobs ( other than DU ) is pretty fast.

So just a little FYI. Used to camp them for AA exp. when I was a little lower. Their spawn time is 11 minutes.

Good hunting all.

58 beast, 60 shammy, and 65 sk did well in the camp area and often we do get the shield. When we get one and it doesn't sell, we put them in the shared bank so we could get second to sell.

I've sold 3 or 4 at 4K each and my brother had 8 sold so far. I rarely see them go above 8K and we sell it cheap to make quick money and to make room for a lore item.

Ok I had to come here and brag...I (55 sk) convinced my rl wife (51 druid) and two in game friends (57 chanter and 55 cleric) to try this by ourselves...we were able to hold the ph mob np, and expanded out to hold three extra mobs besides...well after three cycles, I got the Shell (yay me!) so this is actually much easier than yall think...I wouldn't post this, but I doubt very many people will read this anyway, so not much chance we are gonna lose the camp permanently :)

I went in with 10 people, and we were overkill. Our tank was a level 51 Paladin. Cleric was level 49. Wizard was 60, everyone else in their 50's. Pretty much did fine until the people failed to move when asked and we got a spawn on the Cleric. Subsequent CR killed the raid.

Pulling was interesting: We had a level 54 ENC cast Wake of Tranquility on each group of mobs. It was only resisted once, by one mob, who then attacked, amounting to a nice single pull. After WoT was cast, our monk threw a shuriken to pull. No matter how close the mobs were to each other, we got a single pull EVERY time, all the way to the camp. Killed one PH, then lost cleric and had to go.

About CR: Our rogue tried it and died pretty quickly. Amazing thing: The level 54 ENC pulled both corpses out, again using WoT to sneak past the mobs. She only had to mez 2 mobs who aggroed. Blur worked, everything was fine.

Conclusions:

- Yes, bring an enchanter, but have her cast Wake of Tranquility instead of mezzing a bunch of adds.
- If you need CR and you're not too deep, give the job to the enchanter.
- Protect your cleric.

A cleric can also cast Wake of tranquility. Infact i do this all the time for my groups. The cool thing is with donal's bracer it has a mana free single target version called pacify.

just got done camping the deep for levi? very simple with 55 plus group chanter a must. once at camp very easy to hold. got him to spawn once in about 5 spawn cycles on the first one. i believe there is a place holder but spawn time has been nerfed. which makes no dam sense to me. i dont know of to many peops with noncomponent levi spell why nerf it? we did this with: 60 pally,61 wizzy,55 bst,57 cleric,57 shaman, and 61 chanter. no sign of back piece. overall i think it must have a nerfed time to it. ~Yujk~
Spawn Time Nerfed?
# Dec 17 2002 at 1:35 AM Rating: Excellent
Camped this for about 4 hours tonight with a 65 necro and 62 shaman (I am a 60 SK)... we saw the young thought leech once, and the enthralled underbulk about 12 times, never saw the Deranged. The previous report I see shows him spawning about once every hour.

Could someone please post their average spawn frequency, so I know whether we just got unlucky, or if the spawn time has been nerfed.

Only things I can add to what's already posted is that the shreikers do not see invis, but everything else does. Pretty much everything hits for around 200, but I was mitigating very well with 1250 AC.

Also, we seemed to have things spawn at slightly different timings than we killed them, so we ended up with 3 or 4 mobs spawning at once a few times, so be sure to keep on your toes.

Thanks for any advice and good luck to everyone who's after him.

Or combo it up with the Loyalist Shield of honor and you have an instant 85 ac.

The camp isn't hard at all once you get there, it seems that getting there is the trick, although needing to take more then one group is zerg IMHO.

not many groups hunt in the deep and it's quite an excellent back slot item for a pal/sk.

Considering the you gotta have a great group of mid 50-60's to get this camp and hold it. I can see why it's so pricey.

i wonder if all the items from CT have been found yet. ^_^ great pal/sk items coming out of there too.

OK, camped this guy last night for a toal of 6 hours from zone in to zone out, with 5 hours at the actual camp. Our groups consisted of:

54 Rogue
51 Druid
53 Warrior
56 Enchanter
56 Enchanter
53 Cleric
59 Warrior
56 Luminary
57 Monk
56 Cleric

First, the location of the Deranged Undebulk. After zone in, follow the tunnel and take your first right. There are mobs in the tunnel to the left at the intersection, but you can get by them without any aggro. Clear the way as you go. These mobs see thorugh invis, so no easy way to get to Deranged other then clearing the way. These mobs also have a pretty quick re-spawn timer, so gotta keep everyone together and moving as a group as you clear. Enchanters (preferably 2) are a must. We had a 59 warrior pulling for us, and never had more then 4 mobs at once. No enchanter, really shouldn't attempt it. As you continue along the right tunnel, clearing as you go, take the next left. If you follow this you eventually come to a dead end. It is here that the Deranged Underbulk spawns. The mobs you encounter along the way are Shrieks (mushrooms), Enthralled Razorfiends, Enthralled Underbulks and Enthralled Outcasts. All hit fast in the 200's. Our chanter went down once after being quadded for 180s and then some.

The timer for the Deranged Underbulk was right around 20 mins. About every 20 mins, one of three things happen: Deranged Underbulk, a Young Thought Leach or an Enthralled Underbulk spawned. When we arrived the Thought Stealer was up. All and all, during the entire camp, we had a total of 5 Deranged Underbulks, 5 Thought Stealers, and 6 Enthralled Underbulks.

Some random thoughts:
1) Every time we killed the Deranged Underbulk it had the component-less levitation spell, and once it had that spell and a Beastlord spell, sorry, not sure which one. He never dropped the Massive underbulk Shell. /rude verant
2) Note that Oldencamp the Lost spawned and we killed him at 9:14 PM. He shared the same model as the Enthralled Outcasts. Had a ton of HPs and didn't drop jack. 4 gold and nothing else. Typical crappy loot tables that seem to be common in Luclin zones.
3) Deranged underbulk conned yellow to 51 every time, so he is level 52 or 53. He cannot be mezzed or stunned. Only mob we encountered that was un-mezzable.
4) Small Brick of Acrylia Ore, Small Piece of Acrylia and Block of Acrylia Ore all dropped off An Enthralled Outcast and off An Enthralled Underbulk fairly often.
5) SOW can not be cast in here. Casters can not bind in here either. So, if you need to get out you must have a wizard, be able to gate, have a gate potion, or someone porting out and not coming back. Our 54 rogue decided to try and make a run for it. We put max symbol and rune on him, buffed him up fully and wished him luck. Oops. Made it pretty close, to the final corner before dying. Had to wait for us to fight our way out a few hours later to get to his corpse.
6) Loot sucks doing this camp. Don't expect anything other then the drops off Deranged, and the acrylia.

Got it earlier today off Deranged Underbulk (51 - 55) that spawns with/near the Exiled.

For those who don't know where that is, from the main coridor at zone in, you make a right and then a left and you will come to a dead end. Thats where the Exiled and Deranged are.

Got the shield on 3rd cycle. We also got the shammy spell on 1st and 3rd cycle. So we had a happy shammy and a happy paladin that day. :)

I have dragon haste item in back slot (Cloak of Piety), but the 35AC was a nice upgrade for my sheild in 2nd hand, so I was happy either way. Now my Sarnak Battle Sheild is a resist item, instead of my primary shield.

adds are a real problem. the spawn time here is really fast. Shm could single pull most of the zone with malo.

No, you will need a better tank. Mobs in there can quad for 200, and you have to clear your way to that spot, AND you have to do it fast enough not to get back spawns. The mobs are on a prety fast timer here.

I would say, go try the zone in out on a few mobs. You will never have just single pulls in here. Mobs come 2, or 3 at a time. You need PR and DR for these mobs too. The can curse you (makes you look like them) and dot you, dispell, etc.

Why? I'm a 56 SK and I tanked the whole way to the Underbulk just fine. Had a 56 cleric as main healer and didn't remotely have a problem. A mid-50s group can do just fine in here. I do recommend an enchanter, however, as the spawns are very fast.

Why do people speak this way (no offense, just curious)? A level 40 mob could quad for 200 and it wouldn't matter if the delay were long enough (unless you tank has less than 1kHP at 40 ;-)

So, am I missing something? Are high level mobs all the same delay? I've only hunted up to 44 so far, so I'm not sure if things start to change at the higher levels. I know that right now, I fear a Dvolrag much more than many mobs that do more dmg, because they hit very fast.

These mobs in here hit fast and hard. Don't go in without a high level tank, chanter, and cleric. I'd recommend the puller to be level 60 in order to minimize the adds. A bard/shaman combo might work too, but not in all cases.

Sounds like you are talking about attack delays. He is mentioning the spawn timer for the zone. If you clear an area, and think it is safe for a nice med break now, you will get spawns on your head.

This baby is really quite rare although the Deranged Underbulk does seem to spawn pretty often.

We did about 7 cycles the other day and the Undebulk spawned 3 times. The other 4 times a Young Thought Stealer or something spawned as PH. Spawn cycle is about 25 minutes.

We were lucky this baby dropped on this first Underbulk and the group had only one SK. Damn lucky SK. /cheer

This dropped last night, 4 Jan 02, from Derranged Underbulk. He is blue at lvl 55 and his common drop is the component-free Levitation spell.

He was up when we got to him, and then spawned 2 out of the next 3 times. The group we had was a 60 cleric, 60 rogue, 60 druid, 56 shaman, 55 enchanter and myself. This is one truely lucky pally.

In my most humble of opinions, this is a definate upgrade. Not much else to say, you'd lose a few wis and some other stuff (not to mention EB, but who cares) but you'd gain a rather large amount of raw ac. And AC is where it's at in the end game :)
