Shadows of Luclini got one of this on my sk and yes it rocks gets me a littel tired at 105 sta but i love this thing
i can tell you rigth now pallys can do better than this but sk below 35 sould have one of this
i can solo 2 blues before i have to sit down and rest so is not bad i think is you are a tank you should have pretty good sta, anywasy send a tell to caprina or xiomarix im selling it for 500 pp at least or any trades

With 105 sta there is no reason for you to need to sit. You won't loose any AC or anything else even if you see no yellow at all in yer sta bar. After 100, as someone pointed in another post in this thread, your sta effects nothing but your ability to jump.
1000000% agree .. My 47 mage grabbed one of these in twi a couple of weeks ago And now my 15 DE sk looks supper hot with it.. and is a premium powerhouse for 2 good mobs then its time to sit....if I had a chanter or shammy around look out ....i totally agree that every under 30 SK should have one esp if your a large race and can handle the weight..

We recevied one of these shortly after Luclin came out, but spent a good 6 hours tonight and never saw this drop, or several of the other items we received... is there a no camp rule for this island as in you have to pull away, or was the drop rate just nerfed? BTW in 6 hours we never saw one frenzied either and we were killing fast...

I've only started playing Eq about a month ago...$ days before SOL launched.Anyway about a week ago a wiz sent me a tell saying he had a wep for me..I was level 10.So I found him and he gave me the DarkEdge...I had been training 1hs so this weapon was useless to me and I threw it in the bank.When I reached level 14 I decided to pull it out and train my 2 hand skill a little..I am now newly level 17 my 2 hand slash is at 97.I hit for doubles 1 out of every 3 times at least.My criticals and cripplings hit almost every fight and I have soloed from 14 to 17 using this weapon...I hit for around 30 -35 points of damage with it.It is a very handy weapon.The Downsides are that I have no light source..and my stam which is naturally 113 goes down fairly quickly...I have never heard of a BABs but this sword seems pretty good for my Barb Warrior.
This weapon is going to be a popular change from a BABS for many people, some would consider it worse while others better, heres why.
First off, in favor.
-STR 6, thats 6 more than BABS, STR is always good
-INT For SKs its Mana, and everybody else its TSs
-Ratio Not quite as good as BABS ratio, but not much of a difference and the STR slightly covers it
-The Mana and DMG Bonus The Mana is nice, although not awsome, and the DMG bonus is sweet, although this was taken w/ a really high lvl, BABS taken w/ a lvl 60 isnt this high, BABS doesnt seem to like DMG Bonus hehe at lvl 30 mine is 2
-Look This is the Baddassed weapon Ive ever seen! (I sent them a Pic, I hope they put it up)
Now the bad things.
-Weight First noticeable thing about it is the unbearable weight... BIG difference from the 2.0 BABS; when I say it is bad, I dont mean luggin it around but I mean running low on STA, which 15 wieght Weapons seem to do alot.
-Size Doesnt make much of a difference but its bigger than BABS too.

i remember being something like 35 and only having at most 1k to spend on a weapon...and i must say that though i would not use this item now,it is much better than anything i had to choose from then.so from a certain perspective-this weapon is awesome.or,to some,it would be refered to as "an uber twink weapon".

Lots of people saying babs is better???? Just go use a the babs against 23 40 and you'll find out that you hit harder with the 23 40 by about 7 damage i believe..depends on your level, but i did the test at level 30 i think when i moved from babs to the drakel icereaver. Now..put 6str and 6int on it this weapon is a very nice for SK's..not to mention this is the coolest looking 2hs i've seen ...it ranks right up with the primal weapons.

BABS is not better overall just has a better ratio. The question you need to ask yourselves when contemplating purchase is this: Is it worth the extra PP for the extra stats? That's what it comes down to and IMO, it is not for a Warrior, Ranger or Paladin but may very well be for an SK as they are he only Int based Hybrid on the list. Also the price listed at the time I posted, was 990PP, vs 150 for a BABS. Regardless very nice weapon and worth the money if BABS not so dang common.

I got this weapon for free im a 23 paladin and ive been using the Messenger of the Queen (good weapon but its peircing so you decide), i got the MoQ for 90pp only decent weapon I could afford, but this weapon rocks. I wish i had this at the beginning.

The dam bonus on this has nothing to do with what the weapon will do for u... the dam bonus seen here is probley from a high 50 or 60 war holding it. Each lvl the dam bonus goes up on all the weapons to which they apply. It has NOTHING to do with the weapon itself. Also for the pallys out there who need a mid lvl sword to invest in... go with an ACG ( arbitors combine greatsword) very nice weapon untill u get your epic or a good drop from a high lvl mob. As long as we are setting the record straight, lets get it right. Damage bonus does depend on the weapon, if you are talking about 2 handed weapons. There is an extra damage bonus for 2h weapons with a delay over 40. Since BABS is delay 39, it doesn't get the bonus. This has delay 40, so it does. I also have been told, but have yet to verify, that this bonus gets bigger as the delay gets higher, which would explain a drakkel Sledge having more of a bonus than the drakkel ******* sword.
All you need to do to verify that the bonus gets bigger as the delay gets bigger is to look at a weighted axe. At 31, I got a dmg bonus of 43 on this 45/150 2hs.
ure right a high lvl was carrying this, but even when BABS is worn by a high lvl it doesnt give a good DMG Bonus... so just cuz DMG bonus does rely on the LVL it also has its own amount
Different weaps do have different bonus calculators...1h have less than 2h and 2h blunt seems to have the highest (drakkel forged sledged hammer gives like 15 at 44 while the ******* sword gives 10 or so).
Well this and BABS, in my opinion each have their own purposes... First lets get one thing out that we all know... this is much better for training up 2hs, INT + STR = all you need to do this... the ATK/Delay is not quite as good, but the DMG Bonus is already more than 1/2 of what BABS does. Lastly... we all know that BABS looks like a stupid peice of metal you stole from the local blacksmith and hit squirls with, it doesnt look like a weapon at all, I currently carry around a Coterie Longsword just to hold when im not in battle because im so ashamed to wear that weapon... The only really bad thing on this weapon is the wieght, and it will run ure Stamina out faster than u can cast Invigor unless ure STA is fairly high or ure STR or ure buffed ect.... Also, BABS gives off a lightsource equal to that of a GLS, which im not sure if this gives off light, but from my experience anything that's name is Dark or Black or Light ect means it gives off light of some sort...

ok this is wrong, if you are going for training up 2hs, get a nathsar great sword (17/30 +10str)
This is a nice sk wep for +int and str, pally should go for something else, cause the +int is the only thing giving it an edge over the BABS really. The +str is good, but it is equaled out by the huge weight. I guess the slower delat gives it better bonuses, but i dunno by how much. This would be a viable alternative to a BABS i suppose... it does not matter if it gives off light or not... everything gives off light nowadays. At lvl 1 all paineelians get a GLS or better quality lightsource! At 22 all sk's get deadeye. BABS has a very unique look tho... when you see some guy running around in plate with a newby looking wep you know it has to be a BABS lol

Well, actually BABS and this are fairly equal, oh the times I wished my BABS was 24 40 instead since 40 is the next step up in damage bonus. (Currently 2 with BABS, 7 with a delay 40 weapon)
But since this seems lots harder to get my eager halfling hands on, I will probably keep my breath and continue to use my BABS.

Ok, this is the upgrade to BABS, since they are soo common and go for less then 100pp now...I am guessing this will be the new mild-twinking pally/sk weapon...
