Besides running and selling these things for 5pp or so I don't think it has much use it's not for any quest they are utter crap
possible use
# Feb 12 2004 at 9:24 AM Rating: Good
... to mine with maybe?

not everything in the game exists purely so you can have an 'uber' character.

gonna get one of these and a ruined heretic long sword with some ruined chain for armout to ensure I have the worst char in the game :D
yes, all/all

What I like about these things (other than adding some decent pp to the miner camp) is that they are all/all useable. Yes, my cleric was attacking with 1hs. Very amusing to see!

actually

I think it's sorta like Luclin version of Finesteel and tree flayer. You can sell it to the vendor for 7pp with faction and charisma.
Quest

Did anybody think that this is probably used in a quest... With stats like these it must be just like the orc pawn picks but for higher lvls.
Neat shiny metal look

I killed one of those dwarven mining skeletons in the caverns the other day for the pick. You can see them weilding it, and it looks like the graphic in the background. All the dwarfs had one, and they all spawn in the same room as the taskmaster... they were blue to a 44, but fought like an undercon. That and without some agro reducer, or a broken camp, your going to pull two.

... all i can say is at least it looks nice

These are NOT dwarf skellys. They are Iksar type skellys. They look just like the ones in LOIO.

A bit tall don't you think to be dwarfs? O.o
Put the bottle down, and wait till after you post to fire up the pipe please.

this weapon is indeed laughable
Well....
# Dec 13 2001 at 6:33 AM Rating: Decent
If the pic of the person behind the stats is wielding this weapon, then at least it looks cool. Maybe useful for weddings and such where you dont need a good weapon ratio, you just need to look pretty. Isnt that what most people complain about in this game anyway?

Give to npc, then kill it.

I'd give these to npc's I was about to fight. If they wield it, it would cut down the damage you take killing them immensely, and You'd get it back at the end. Of course this only applies to those who aren't wielding already, since they chosse the best weapon to use.

Would work the same with orc pawn picks. I know guards will wield orc picks with their normal sword if given one, and highkeep citizens will use any weapon they are handed. This thing would really kill the damage output of an npc.

I know with pets, giving them a low dmg weapon means they default to their unarmed stats. I suspect the same is true for NPCs.

Its really upgraded orc pawn pic it only weighs 3.5 instead of 10 so lugging a couple of these around isn't really unfeasible

# Apr 27 2003 at 10:55 AM Rating: Decent
Yes it is unfeasable to lug a couple of them around, because they are lore =)
worthless
# Dec 12 2001 at 5:59 PM Rating: Default
utterly worthless... why even bother to post it and take up server space...
RE: worthless
# Dec 12 2001 at 6:21 PM Rating: Good
Think about it a bit more. It could be used in an undiscovered quest, so don't be immediately saying "worthless" to every new bad-ratio weapon that comes in.
RE: worthless
# Dec 12 2001 at 6:03 PM Rating: Decent
so we know not to waste time and mana on dwarven miners :)

BTW...anyone know if theres a faction hit on the dwarves?
