Thought it was ok for range, but after getting a shardwurm eye on my wizzy, I realize it's VERY sellable. Just was wonder what the going rate for these are . . . .400p? Sounds fair :) Talk to Formosus or Caelestes on Drinal.
Do you guys even realize the RANGE slot ability?

The ability to put this in range is awesome. 3int and10 mana in range? that's like a 5int range item with 3 str bonus! That's awesome, who cares about the weapon itself, this should sell for more than the range sarnak dagger. It's beautiful and fast piercer for casters, for the 40-under game for casters this is awesome.
#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 13 2001 at 11:36 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Ok I got this just 10 minutes ago, and the mob that dropped it, "a dark shadow" had this and a slashing weapon visible. When he slashed me, he would hit and do the regular damage, but when he connected with the piercer, he lifetapped me for 144pts of dmg. What the hell??? There is no Effect on this weapon.

Int, mana and strength, the three things i'd like more of on my chanter. Maybe there are better range slot items, but this should still sell for several hundred plat at least.

Any other rogues remember VI saying they were going to start dropping more Rogue peircers to start filling in level gaps? this doesnt stike me as something that a Rogue, Warrior, Shadow Knight, Ranger or Bard would want if they were even remotley close to the level of attainment, there are sooooo much better range items that buff mana int and str...

Thats just my melee perpective

Speaking as a Wizard carrying a Dragoon Dirk in my range, I'd love to have one of these. Stats are all far more useful to casters then melees. I would consider it a caster weapon that rogues can use, not the other way around.
#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 11 2001 at 8:23 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This is only slightly better then a Dragoon Dirk. Odd how you have to be lvl 40+ to get it.

Have to agree Teepun. Easy weapon to get that a rogue would use more is a Slime Coated Harpoon. Call me old fashioned, but the slimey at 10/25 is one of the best 10+ damage piercers for a rogue to get. Certainly one of the easiest. My little Rogue has one and has had one for a while - was a gift at level 10 by a total stranger for helping his alt out of a jam. Paid to be nice.

Even if it isnt close to 10 dam/sec like a Bloodpoint, it has that crucial base damage that counts for backstabs. Sorry, but this one will be filed away as interesting, but one that wont see that much use.

not bad for an int caster

this is not bad for am int caster, tho I think student's homework is better, unless you always seem to be encumbered. also might be helpful if you want to train pierce. I rate it a 6 out of 10
