I just got it off an injured polar bear also. It spawned the around the 4th time I cleaned the whole pit area out. Spawned in the very back of the bear portion. Not much of a loot but still nice to get SOMETHING down here :)

I had been camping bear pits all week, last night injured polar bear popped and I was quite surprised that there was a named in that spot. The spear that dropped was quite underwhelming given how rare the mob is, and given the level needed to camp in the pits. I was thinking it might be for some quest, but from reading here, apparently not. By the time you are able camp for this item, you are probably almost done with your epic ;)
umm, didn't this use to drop off of vox as part of her loot? now i see she has a crystaline spear, which is fine, but now i see these bears drop it. Or did i misread vox's drop list so many time before? (perhaps the drool got in my eyes).

I had an unpleasant surprise when I couldn't re-equip this item after a CR. I have no idea when they changed it, but it is no longer ranged. It still has a range of 40 listed, but it doesn't say range under the slot info anymore and it won't fit into the slot. :(

I believe this spear is dropped by "A Wounded Polarbear" in Permafrost. As far as I know it is somewhere bewteen lvl 35 and 40. If anyone has any more info on this please post it. Thanks.
Actually dops off of "an injured polar bear". Spawns in the back farthest away from the ladders to Vox's lair.
I remember seeing somewhere, drops off some kind of bear? Can't remember if it's Perma or Everfrost. Sorry for not having more info, maybe this will lead you on the right track though.

What drops this? i looked at all the monster info and none said where this spear is dropped. is it the giant bear or wolves? info plz
