I just got this with my ranger. They must have changed the click to remove on this spell. The only way I was able to remove the life drain was to cast cure disease between each heal, the drain was taking 5% life each tick.
This IS a great weapon for dueling/PVP. It is because it does proc on yourself and breaks any mez cast on you for 2 minutes worth of ticks. Useful for fighting any enchanters, mobs or in PvP.
Last night I had the GM of my server Quellious check this weapon because it had the out of charge proc, and on getting back to me the GM told me to destroy this weapon and he then gave me a new one which was same stats but proc'ed a 15dd on me then gave me a 8hp regen over 2 hrs. Has anyone else been getting a similar effect? Oh and the effect of weapon procs on the user. The GM said he did not know if that was intentional or not Lol.
Not only it weighs 10 stones, but you get -10 Disease, and +7 Dex.
Why does the 7 Dex suck? Because this weapon procs Rock Mites ON YOU, not on the mob (you can click effect away though.) So with 7 Dex increase you are more prone to DoT yourself.
Therefore either this is a quest item, or some majorly cursed whip (or it`s bugged.)
My bard got this. He proced it and it hit him and the mob. I was able to click it off on me but watched the health of the mob and it did not appear to be dropping. I think I need to experiment a little more because I might have been a little impatient in killing the mob.
Just a note i don't know if you checked the drop properly but in some cases rock hoppers drop a severed tail but it has no effects it is a nodrop item possibly used in quests or something
Imagine this..you're in a fight, you're dual weilding one of these babies, and a bloodpoint, lets say. Sure the BP weighs next to nothing, but then you realize that you have no more yellow bar in the top right of your screen. Then, you get slapped with some disease (due to the -10 sv disease) that keeps you from regening stamina.. you're screwed. Welecome to my world.
this weapon truly ROCKS for pvp, what could possibly be more annoying then a dot that lasts a full hour and will kill anyone without iksar / troll regen or the ability to cure it. run over to a group whack the enchanter a few times till this goes off then run off and wait for a faction hit or reapply, this weapon is truly cool =)
Coneed Green to my 45 Shaman meaning under 35 for sure. If I wer 35, I wouldn't touch him alone. Hits hard and fast, tough to root although resisted no poison based spells or ice. He took half my health and mana to bring down but I had no pet summoned. I'd say real tough under 40 to solo. This weapon can't possibly be worth using for anyoine at the level it takes to get it. Maybe a teens Rogue or Warrior but no drop. Maybe quest item.
I agree heartily. I was at about 60% mana when this thing came charging up. I tried to snare it a half dozen times, resisted every time, ditto to root a few times, and to Fury of Air (fast magic-based DD). It took 4 "Starfires" (612 max fire-based DD) to bring him down, and I had partial resists on 2 of the 4.
i guess you may possibly get the satisfaction of knowing whatever you hit with it will eventually die if was anything near a close battle with you on the losing end.
I wonder.. If you know you're going to die in a fight, so you use this weapon. The proc procs, you die. Your group zones back in, the mob dies, you all get exp. Maybe?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When someone casts: Soandso is covered with mites. Spell cast on you: You feel mites crawling into your wounds. Spell cast on someone: Soandso is covered with mites. Spell fades: The mites drop from your skin.
This would be much better if it didnt last for an hour =p. change the duration to fifteen minutes and you have your self an ubetr proc. heh. enough of my rambling...
