Damage Bonus
# Feb 25 2003 at 11:08 AM Rating: Decent
My level 20 monk equip'd this and the damage bonus is not there. Are monk's able to take advantage of this and if so at what level should I expect to see it?

Thanks

DMG bonus different for different characters
# Nov 06 2002 at 2:29 PM Rating: Decent
When my 33 Ranger Half-Elf looted this it had a dmg bonus of 2. When I gave it to a 25 Monk Human it did not have a dmg bonus on it. When it was given to a 28 Cleric Human it did not have a dmg bonus on it. I guess the dmg bonus only shows when a character is at the level that the dmg bonus is activated?

The damage bonus you are referring to is BASED on the character's level. You could equip any 1h weapon, on each of those characters, regardless of whether it was a cracked staff, or a jade mace, and the bonuses would be the same.

Oh, only melees get the bonus. Your cleric won't have a damage bonus, even at lvl 60.

Weird, I was cruising around Butherblock with my level 16 druid. I dont own Luclin... I was lucky, I already have a magical weapon - A screaming mace. I just by chance was going through vendors and a guy sold this for 19pp. I figured why not.

The appeal was that its about the same ratio, and it has no weight. NONE! and its tiny!

(so its like between your forefingers, and slam people, it Bogles them)

Now, mine does NOT say +8 damage, that would make is MUCH nicer then a screaming mace. See BEFORE I saw the +8 damage it was a toss up. Almost the same ratio and the screaming mace (which is not an antique) procks that nice Yallup.

So does it have the bonus? I of course will try it out. But I dont think mine said anything about that when I clicked it. Is there another one?

Its funny when I started playing people SAUGHT after the screaming mace. And people would say "you have no idea how easy you guys have it" well, this weapon, and the drops off luclin are SICK, at 22 common drops were fine steel, laugh.

Damage Bonus

Damage bonus is based on your LV, but you don't get it until like 35 I think. So ignore the damage bonus because it's based on the delay of the weapon, so the screaming mace would have just as much if not more.

It does make a good monk weapon, though, as it has NO weight, and we monks have to watch our weight and keep our shaply figures...

could use better dam/del but for no weight, I'm not complaining
