When the Owlbears are incontrole, go to whre the grimling Chieften use to be, there will be an Owlbear named Screatchma and I got the earing off of her.

I now have a pair of these and like them better than my +3 wis earrings with no other stats. Sure, I lose +1 Wis, but with the other stats I'm not worried about it.
These make a nice addition to the Owlbear Eye that I got the same day!
I know they are not the best for my class, but for right now, they are very do-able )

There are two named owlbears in the owlbear caves. Skrietat'chu and skriet'chu or whatever. Not sure exactly on their names but you will know when you see em. One each in both of the dead end round rooms. Easy to find their PHs because they are on a longer timer than the rest of the rooms. In the far back room the named is in the lowest point behind a rock (Chu I think). His common drop is the earring and his rare is the lore head piece item black feathered circlet 5ac 2wis 2int some other minor stat and 3charges of levitate.
In the room in the back on the left the named one is in the back left of this room on the downward slope behind the rock (Cha I think). He seems to be more rare and by my observations does not seem to spawn when Chu is spawned. His common drop is the earring and his rare is the preserved owlbear eye a nice range secondary item 2ac 4wis 4int 20mana 3svmagic and a secondary light source.

I was in the cave last night and got both Cha and Chu on radar. Owlbears were not in control. Didn't get time to take down Chu (at 47, my ranger can only solo one named, lvl 33 mob before he needs some down time... go figure), but Cha gave me a nice 7/30 slasher with a 7 dmg bonus and some stats. Gonna be a nice little present for my vah shir bard
A few corrections...First, Skrietat'Chu's (not quite sure on which is which, it is the one on the right side) common is the Black Feathered Circlet, his rare is the Owlbear Claw Earring, and his ultra rare is the Urmiir, Sword of Beast Slaying. Second, Skrietat'Cha's (not quite sure which is which, it is the one on the left side) common drop is the Owlbear Claw Earring, his rare is the Preserved Owlbear Eye, and his ultra rare is the Elder Owlbear Beak.

I just got this guy off an Owlbear Screechmaw. It is during the guildwars in Hollowshade, and the owlbears have taken over the Grimling camps. He was at the front on the shack that I think the Grimling Chief spawns at. Blue to me at 40, and an easy kill.

I got one of these last night from Screechmaw as well. In about 20 kills I got one of these, and one of the Shoulders.
I Just got mine tonight, Woot! It's a nice earing for sure. We were killing owlbears and after we cleared the room and during the next spawn go around Chu spawned, our group took him down just like the rest of them np. He coned blue to me Lv 34 SK. Gave it to a good friend of mine "Smackle" for always being there for our friends and helping us out.
And of course our group ROCKS!

Perhaps its just me, but I'm thinking you'll get more of a response about your guild, if you tell people what server you're on. Not that it matters much to me, as I am already guilded, but for your message to achieve its purpose, you need that information

This earring drops off both named Cha and Chu.

I have camped this guy for a few days now. He is located in the very back room of the Owlbear cave and spawns in the very center (lowest) spot. His spawn time is 19 minutes on the nose. I have noticed that he has 3 PHs before he spawns. He has been know to respawn after the 19 min but most of the time it was 3 PHs. I have gotten an earing almost everytime(ive gotten 9) and a circlet 4 times. Not to bad to handle but only if you get him alone. I am 34war and partner is 35 war and we can take on only 3 at a time during this. We have found that is you walk around to the far right... and pull the one closest to you at that point... you will only get 3 of the 7 that are there with him. Pull from the front... and you have all of them on you at that point.

You need a druid to harmony the bears and pull them 1 at a time, and you will clear the room in no time at all.

Harmony won't stick? I have never seen that happen. Harmony only doesn't work in an indoor zone.

I was in caves last night as a 36 warrior and a 30 druid we were able to clear room but harmony would not work on 90% of the cats it may be because of the druid lvl I dont know I have yet to play a druid. I may be wrong but just wanted to add my own experiance on this.

Drops off the named Owlbear in the caves. (location 2100,1200). I don't recall his name offhand, but he's a pretty common spawn. (Just kill his PH a few times).
