running thru qey last night chked track to see if hadden was up he wasnt but Pyzjn was figred id drop her n see if she dropped the GBS when i attacked her
some decayed skelly tried to hit me so i whacked it and it dropped this ulak whichs seems a litle odd due to the stats anyhow there ya go

ps no she didnt drop the stone

I found these on Decaying Skeletons in Everfrost with my little level 3 Beastlord. Though intially excited, I soon went back to the brass knuckles I found on a vendor which have the same ratio (3/22 vs. 6/44.) Why? I'll tell you why. With a relatively poor skill in H2H, which all low level characters are plagued with, not only with the lower delay weapon help give more chances to skillup, it will also give more chances to hit.

i was in nek newbie when i saw a skele with one of these. skeles were spawning with these for about a week in nek and then stopped.

I got one of these from a merchant just outside the gates in Shadeweaver's thicket for an astonishing price of 1 copper! I thought I had misread it and clicked on the item 3 times before I bought it. It is a GREAT weapon for a level 1 Beastlord and although it cannot be sharpened (at least not the conventional way with sharpening stones - I tried - returns 'these items cannot be combined in this container'), it still should serve my BL for some time if only to improve his hand-to-hand skill. And there may be a way to sharpen a rusty magic weapon (weird) as yet undiscovered.

I got one off of a decaying skelly right under Kelethin city. The merchants only offer you ONE copper for it. I don't have Luclin and I've got one.

Ever since Luclin came out, it seems that skeletons on Norrath are dropping these too. Rather interesting weapon (only rusty magic weapon I've seen) and actually extremely nice for the level of people who would normally fight the mobs that drop it. Check your local skeletons, you can probably get one of these wwithout even having Luclin.

A little update: just got one of these of "a skeleton" in Innothule Swamp ( in the tower a little SE of the SRo zone). And before you say some player planted it there, I saw it spawn with my own two eyes with the ulak in his hand. So yes, this definitely drops in places other than Luclin. Good news for the non Vah Shir beastlords, who have a chance of getting one in their newbiedom.

Thats right, two coppers. Someone must have sold it. I did this right before I had to log for the night, so didn't get to go to the Armorer to see if they had sharpening stones. But at the price, I couldn't go wrong! I will post again as soon as I try to tarnish it.

i quit playing the girl, cuz you can't really practice hand to hand and deal insane damage, so this is the next step...i will wait till much better comes out to go grab for her, but this shows potential.

I don't know why I am posting this here other than the fact that I read these daily updates so I happen to have the thought now....but my guess is this:

Since many people(upper levels, mid-upper levels) have been finding and selling many nice items on most servers(probably all) that average lower level(relative term) has better weapons than they "should". In fact, I don't think verant intended for lower levels user to have the kind of weapons they do at all....but over the time frame that is everquest, they have been handed down and now it is more often considered "common" or sometimes even "expected" for a character to have equipment that I believe verant did not intend for a character of that level. Thus, to compensate for this form of flooding, verant has made better items available to players of that level, which means you can go find a decent item off of a mob, instead of purchasing it or having it given to you. Are the as great? Probably not, but they are better. This weapon is a prime example....nothing spectacular, but hey, it has extra stats....none of hte normal rusty weapons I got growing up did....I think this is an excellent manuever(I know I can't spell), along with making the better items more often NO DROP, to eliminate the type of market that has begun on many server....and if not eliminate, certainly make more difficult.

I haven't seen one yet, and haven't looked for sharpening stones, but has anyone tried? would cut the delay alot and be better than a crummy little dagger for us folks trying to find any scorpion legs at all, let alone rockhopper claws. Sigh. It's not easy being a Kitty.

I dunno if this was given from a higher level but I got one from a Grimling Skeleton in Shar Vahl newbie area. Looks just like graphic when weiled. However it only sells for like 5sp to a merchant. I have warmly faction and 85 CHA which I kinda think sucks. Money is so hard to come by in Shar Vahl. :(
