Is there a way to remove (fire,air,ect) from your armor to replace with a different essence?

how does a peson combine all 4 to make a prismatic essence, or is it done just buy upgrading gear with all 4 different types?
Combine all 4 essences in a Elemental Essence Amalgamator. Follow the link to find the vendors.

A "Fire Essence" is NOT for the quest called "Gather the Essence - Fire" from Dwindlix in Dragonscale Hills.
A "Fire Essence" is only for upgrading SoF armor.
A "Fiery Essence" is for the quest "Gather the Essence - Fire" from Dwindlix in Dragonscale Hills.

Before you can actually insert the essence in your armor, you must have appropriate faction with Crusaders of Veeshanwhere you can get tasks from Dwindlixin Dragonscale Hills, or killing in Crystallos.
This is about as far as i have gotten, even though i have 3 essences ... still working on my faction before i find out who the vendor is etc ...
Another Piece of information i found out, is if you have all 4 essences, you can combine them to make a prismatic essence (this is what im aiming for).

Dropped off 'a Fire Drake' in Crystallos
not sure what these are used for. anyone know?
To upgrade armour. First you use the appropiate steam core, then one of these.
