Well, only half the posts here asked if this is rechargable and exactly no one replied so it makes it some what redundant for me to ask but I'm going to anyways....IS THIS ITEM RECHARGABLE?????

No. In fact, I have never heard of a dropped item being rechargeable. Only quest items, and even then, rarely.
I have one, I like & I only paid 2K for it. Then got another soloing bats w/my 52 druid. Actually not much of a challenge.
Still trying to find out if it is rechargeable & how to recharge.

I was camping the tormented vah shir and was watching track with my druid that i 2 box with. Skyshadow popped in. Not thinking about it cause i have a friend with a similar name, i realized it was blue and my friend cons red to me at 55. SO, i went to check out the mob. I had never heard of it before. I ran up and took him out with an occasional heal from my druid. He Dropped the cloak. I looked at the stats and the first thing that went through my mind was OMFG!!!! My druid wears an acrylia studded cloak now but this one with Levitation is by far better. JUST wish it didnt cost me +2 wis. But if anyone sees one for sale IT'S WORTH IT!!!

This mob CAN be rooted. I killed him today with my 48 Enchanter, tho had a cleric come along and help towards the end I ran OOM (209 Int) Tons of HP's and didnt drop the Cloak.
Root did break a couple times causing adds like crazy with the wolves..etc. I wish I had known he could be pulled to the zoneline without the guards attacking. Will try that next time.

Let me just dispel the myth that the guards won't attack him. They will. I was pulling him to Katta to fight him just outside as a 55 Warrior. Prior attempt I started at 80% and had to bail with him at 33 and me at 14%. Fiured the extra HP would have mattered so I searched him out again and was pulling him the the Katta zone when I backed into another Darkwing. The Darkwing was only green but the extra HP it takes would matter so I ran into Katta to clear aggro and came out to find the guards beating on both bats.
I started fighting but even with Mighty Strike and a couple of 176 procs they easily outdamaged me and got the kill.
Darn shame, I worked to get that stupid bat again hehehe

what lvl can you use the proc? does anyone know if it rechargable?
Actually, in most cases, 10 wis is close enough to 8 wis + 12 mana it's not worth noting.
Assuming you have > 200 wis (not counting post 255 stuff, I'm not sure how numbers work there), the currently accepted numbers are 6 wis per mana. Under 200 wis at level 60, each wisdom point is roughly 12 mana. So, at level 30, under 200 wis, 8 wis + 12 mana == 10 wis.

Just killed 'em with my 45 Ranger ( Dk blue con ) with some help from a 58 Shaman. This mob IS snarable. And as for common drop, I must have rolled a big goose egg 'cause he did NOT drop this cloak... Mad as hell I tell ya.

I hunted Tenebrous for a couple of months on and off (Ranger btween lvl 39 and 48), and saw this guy on track once in a while. Even at level 48, he is not easy to solo. The first time I killed him (around lvl 44) I had an enchanter help out; Snare (ranger) and Fear (chanter) and it's cake. Skyshadow still hits for 100+ and can take your HPs down very quickly, but he can be snared and feared with no unusual difficulty. I pull him to the Katta zone; THE GUARDS WILL NOT FIGHT HIM LIKE THEY DO THE OTHER BATS; and kill him there to minimize adds. If I'm soloing and see him up on track, I'll yell out for a cleric or chanter to duo with, making him considerably easier to kill (I guess that goes for most things if you can get a cleric or chanter).
I have killed him 8 times total, 1 cloak dropped. IMHO this cloak is approx equivalent to Acrylia Studded, except that it's much more rare. For those who don't have any form of levitation and don't normally group with those that do, this cloak is more valuable than Acrylia Studded. For me, a ranger, I just wear it because it's unusual, and I like the 8 dex and wis. The AC could be a lot better. I will look to upgrade soon, and I'll be happy to get 2k for this on FV, but doubt it considering Acrylia Studded cloaks now sell for 750-900pp.

The first time I saw Skyshadow, he aggroed on my 49 ranger, I ran to the grimling zone where I met a 60 epic druid, FYI root would not stick so I meleed while she nuked and healed. I'm 54 now and have learned a few things about Tenebrous; 1. Sonic Wolves are immune to Panic Animal, 2. I haven't seen a bat yet that could be snared or rooted, 3. Although the vamps are undead, the pally spell Spook the Dead rarely if ever sticks on them.
toasted this sucker ez on with my 46 dru, simple root/dot tactics. resisted snare once. thats it. dont let yourself believe itis anything special, just cuz a melee cant solo it )

That's BS dude because any Bat in TM is immune to changes in run speed, i.e. snare, root. There's no way u root/rotted this guy. Come on now, tell the truth. It's not suprising that u killed him, its just if u did, u kited him or feared him.

Have hunted a bit in Tenebrous lately and have noticed that all normal Darkwing Bats seem to be immune to snare/root. However the named bats i.e. Skyshadow and the ones for Twilight Sea quests can be snared and rooted. Have killed Skyshadow once using root/rot. Sadly no cloak. Hope this sheds some light for those wishing to hunt there.

I killed this creature on Xev Server with 41ranger(me),40cleric, 35enchanter, easy kill...i only lost ABOUT 4 bubs of life....but of corse cleric then healed me a few times....Skyshadow hits for like 67dmg- each hit...noone died

Just FYIs Seemed underconned and has alot of Hps.
Killed him twice with a 46 ranger and 45 cleric. Ranger well equipped and fully buffed with cleric spells (Inc symbol) and ranger buffs call of sky ect.
To do it dotted and tanked until cleric OOM. Skyshadow would then be down to about the H. Then ran him around for a while while cleric med for next complete heal. 3 to 4 CHeals later he would turn for his snared run.
Then tried tanking him with a 55 warrior. Not a chance. Took the warrior down to less than one bubble and was still more than half. (Used discipline mightystrike) warrior equipped with 1040 ac and 1012 attack with Edge of Nightwalker and LoSSE offhand.
Tried again with 55 warrior and 53 wiz and torched him easily. 2 Bubs off warior 2 bubs mana from wiz using the conflaguration upgrade spell.
did not count log but is way more than 3K hps. 5K or more.
Seemed very resistant to root and other magic based (though snare landed almost always) slight resistant to fire.
7 kills = 2 cloaks. Took 2 full 8+ hour days to spawn 7 times constantly running bats to guards.
My price if I were to sell would be 12-15K

I have been killing bats and this named bat for weeks now with nothing.
I decided to login early one day before work to kill the runner, he was there, woot. After having only 1M left because I started with only 2m i hit track and guess what was on track? I fought him for about 30 min with no Clarity and 1m it was root, med, root, med, dot and repeat. Hit right click when he died and was shocked to see the cloak.

Skyshadow does not drop this everytime. I've killed him 5 or 6 times when checking track when running through TM. Dropped one today for the first time for me.

first of all, this proc is not levitate, it is levitation, only real diff is that levitation is a level 51 druid spell as opposed to the 14 druid spell levitate, it requires no batwings, and i'm not sure, but i'm guessing that it lasts longer, possible doesn't come off til you click it off, but i do have a question about proc, is it rechargeable?

I have yet to use up the charges on mine, but when i do i will certainly attempt to recharge it. As for the effect, I'm now bonking myself on the head for not noticing it's the version that doesn't require a component. Ah well... I try to keep at least a stack of batwings on me just in case anyway. I only use this effect when I'm too lazy to mem levitate. I might go ahead and just run through the rest of the charges though to see if it can be recharged.

I managed to get Skyshadow to drop this infernal cloak(wing) of his after spending a full week in the Tene. Mtns trying to get him to spawn with it.
Anyway, i was asking 9kpp for the cloak that day, as someone was selling the Acrylia Studded Cloak (10wis, 7ac) for 12kpp. After 2 attempts at scamming me, and 1 uber beggar, i finally traded the cloak away for a Longsword of Etheral Energy 16(21)dmg 29dly, a Lammy 9dmg 19dly +stats and an FBSS.
I later sold the FBSS for 4500pp (as i was using Silver Chitin Handwraps), traded the sold the lammy for 5kpp and then put the LSoEE in my offhand and sell off the Centi Longsword for 3kpp.
So in actual fact, i got abt 12.5kpp for the cloak, as well as an upgrade to my offhand.
It was definately a good day to be a ranger.

Well, it is an 8wis back item that druids can wear. I think there are literally only 5 cloaks of equal or greater wisdom that druids can wear and 3 of those 5 are no-drop. So, the remaining 2 are White Dragonscale(9wis) and Frostreaver's Embroidered(8wis). However, I agree that 26k is too high, but 15k might be about right.

Okay...I've killed Skyshadow 11 times now and no cloak. I've done some research on him and learned about him while doing this...

(i.e. cral ligi dancer-grol baku warlord-grol baku hero-meeda hune stormwatcher-meeda hune hero-grol baku wilder, etc.)
The cloak is definatly rare...as I said before I've gotten the bat 11 times and STILL no cloak.

I didnt think the cloak was so rare I spend time soloing the vamps there in castle and have seen/killed skyshadow three times once looted and gave to my shammy looted again next night and third rotted since I was only one in zone

The Skyshadow I killed had more like 5K hps (took about 5 1/2 Breath of Ro's to drop him), snare/root both stick. Conned blue at 52. No one in the zone was chain pulling bats, there was one vampy group and a couple of soloers. Dropped the cloak.

A Shamen friend and myself fought Skyshadow lastnite, we did Not hunt any of the "naked midget people" alien things, we were just chain pulling the bats and wolves for xp (amazing xp in 45 hell)... but the rest of what you say does have alot of merit as we saw a few "special bats" every once in a great while...was camped at tunnel for about 6 hours, saw about 4 specials and got Skyshadow once (was underconned, about 3k hp and hit for about 101, but single shots it seemed), droped nothing...also fought 2 special dire wolves, not sure if they PH for this or something else...specials seemed to drop quest items randomly..also, for those of you looking for runner also, he seemed to pop up every 2 hours or so...i want to make a note, we weren't looking for anything as it was my first time hunting there and didn't know anything about any special mobs at the time, so the PH's may have been more frequent as some mobs went unchecked during our downtimes and were also mainly sticking to wolves...hehe, if we only knew =/
