Not For Long . . .

This is an incredibly awesome weapon. I got one today from a lovely lvl 60 cleric who I helped with a big transfer. She just gave it to me. I was flabbergasted. This weapon is INCREDIBLE! 14-27, +8 str and sta?!! My GOD! The graphic on this weapon is also easily the nicest graphic of any other weapon I have ever seen.

It looks kind of like a Sworf of Skyfire, except make the hilt real wide, and set a purple gem in it, with a neat looking pommel. then take the blade, and make it all shiney like a steel weapon, and then take the bottom 1/5th of the blade and put jagged teeth on each side of it. Then Have huge shiney metallice red runes going up the center of the blade. I must have had like 20 people ask me about it just today, it is so eyecatching. Its the perfect offhand weapons. I mean, same dmg-dly as Club of Ice Ocean, better stats, except for no proc. I would say this is going for about 12kp right now, mostly because of look and newness, but price won't go below 8kp any time soon.

Unfortunatley, I really don't expect this to stick around for very long. Verant does this with every release. They have all these mid level mobs drop incredibly nice weapons for a few weeks, then they either move the weapons to higher level mobs, nerf the weapons, or make the mobs harder, or make it a rarer drop. I can almost garauntee this is what Verant will do with stuff like this. So get them while you can, people!

This is, I believe, the rarest of the Centi weapons. Either that, or I've had a super run of bad luck. After 18ish hours of straight exp killing in Madien's Eye off Toilers, I've never seen one drop. The warspear, shortsword, and hammer are pretty common.

On second thought, I've never seen the axe either. That one's probably pretty rare also.

As far as the Toilers being mid-level mobs, they aren't. They range from low to mid fifties, and are a serious hassle to control. They are also very very dense around their area, and it can be tough to pull them.

On the other hand, they spawn right near a zone wall in ME, and have both static and wandering spawns in the same area. This area, I'd guess, will become the most camped area in the zone, for sheer loot distribution.

In other words, the mobs are tough, are in a tough spot, and the longsword is pretty rare. Don't look for a mid-level-easy-mob-with-killer-stuff nerf any time soon. VI got their fill of that with the shadowed man spawns and the mask of espionage hopefully.

I Got One

I got one the other night from a friend. Its better than the crystalized short sword that i have. Its a cool complement to the Lam. Its a nice looking weapon, and gives me the added Str us dark Elf Warriors need. I am so glad they didnt spoil it with some kind of stupid proc.
Nice

Not a bad wep at all... My warrior can sure use this in his off hand for the stats alone..and the ratio is not bad either :o) well good hunting and safe journey to all.
Bought it!

This tired Ogre was at the Thurgadin Bank getting ready to log when a shout offering this woke me up. I have been using some excellent 2hb weaps but wanted to pick up my 1hs skill; a decent 1hs that wouldn't break the bank is hard to find.
Well the auction said 14/27 and some stats, nothing specific. So, being a dumb Ogre, I offered 400pp (ready for rejection).
Suprise! the Iksar took the offer...BIG Suprise, the +8 str & sta! Haven't had a chance to use it except to slice up a Drakkel Dire wolf but it looks like I will be one HAPPY OGRE!
May not be the best weapon out there but it looks cool and gets the job done.

I like it

These are actually decent off hand weapons. And they look pretty damn cool.

It's all about delay as a warrior... lamentations are still awesome... 9 dmg ain't much, but 19 delay is hot... expect these to be pretty good for the mid/high lvl secondary tanks, and as always, expect a high price till the initial WOW settles down

Wanting to buy

Anyone know how much one of these would go for? I'd like to buy one on Bertox. It looks like it would go sweet with a wurrmy

i would say 8k give or take, better dmg/dly than a knuckle duster which go for about 5k, plus the stats and its brand new, give it a few months it will be down to about 6k, just my opinion though

These are selling for 25k+ on Fennin, mainly cause they look sweet. Comparable weapon would be silken whip of ensnaring, which actually has a useful proc.

He's talking about dual-wielding them, like it says in the post header. Two longswords, 2x8 STR 2x8 STA = 16 STR 16 STA
Excellent for Weak Ranger

Great off hand for weak wood elf rangers like me. I will have to ask my guild if they want to raid this place. Who would say no? Can you imagine dual wielding this?

excellent for any ranger. it has an excellent ratio and a fairly low speed. the low speed creates considerably less aggro so its perfect for rangers.
