Nice robe and the blind seems helpful for losing aggro when I slow. Took out TVD with group of 6. Long fight but relatively easy and never resisted slow even without tash. Group was all 65th lvl. Robe has a yellow graphic with nice piping and such and in froglok illusion looks like vah shir skin robe.

Sorry to say but it is highly unlikely that you will see this or any shaderock equip rot at lvl.30, the Va'Dyn is a raid force mob and his equip is nice.
Hes not a raid force mob...Hes a wuss..took him with 2 clerics(61 and 65), a Warrior(65), A monk(Me, 55), A chanter(65) and a druid(Also Me, 61). None of us are really that uber,,not in raid guilds but he was nothin,
I highly doubt you could even get to Akheva Ruins much less stay alive long enough inside to find the corpse with this one it. There are many things that HT and see invis one the way to Akheva.
its not hard to get near the zone to AR without invis even for a low level player. most the time va'dyn is killed near the zone in anyway and very seldom do the vius outside AR see invis (though they can at times). but i am pretty sure that an alt from a guild member would get the item way before they give it to someone who has little to no experience in the game.
its not getting to him thats hard its getting to AR is what is hard ME isn't a place of , hmm how should i put it. Loveable non kos things lol, everything aggros pretty far away an stuff nukes for 500dmg an a chanter at lvl 30 isn't gonna have much of 1k of hp unless twinked, an even so it would have to be a rog to get there hehe. Hide sneak hide sneak hide sneak
My bst ran across ME at lvl 12 with no invis to get to Umbral Plains for a claw that dropped off Spirit of Radir, it's all about faith.. And of course knowing the zone reasonably well
Graphic on this is a Super dark grey robe with black stripes up the front like a ishva or Crystaline robe the one with the eyeballs look up SOiled invoker and ishva for a old style graphic of the robe :) there is the one from befallen it looks like but it does look AWESOME
Well, I can't say what effect this item would have... but I know that Flash of Light and Blinding Luminesence both cause a mob that is in melee combat to stay in melee combat no matter how much aggro it has towards others for as long as it's "blinded".
So if, for example, a Paladin were to run up to a mob and successfully hit it with Flash of Light... a Shaman could slow it, an Enchanter could Tash it, a Cleric could CH the Paladin and a Wizard could mana-dump on it... and it wouldn't turn away from the Paladin until the Flash of Light wore off.
Not a bad effect, but I'm not sure of the value of a PBAoE version for a Caster...
Also if you land flash of light, then step back out of the mobs melee range, it will run as if it was feared. Flash of light also lowers ATK by 5, but this spell only blinds.
nope, itll run no matter if someone isnt in melee combat. i used to use a strategy way back when my pally was lvl 19 in bronze armor and an Axe of the Iron Back in oasis on yellow DW crocs, id engage, get low on HP, Flash of Light, heal, reengage.. was uber
not true, have ya ever blind kited? is great in a caster group, pally stuns a few times to get agro, someone snares, he blinds (the mobs turns and runs) everyon sends in pets/nukes when blind wears off he goes back at the pally, pets still on him and not going after the pets, pally stuns a few times, blinds, mob runs off again and so on and so forth, hav actially done it with a BL melee the mobs too and he still returned after the pally every time. if a mob is blind and running he does not stop and attack unless the player that has agro is in melee range, and somehow they always know when your close and which direction you are /shrug
Appears to actually be around 7 seconds casting time on the robe. And it does a great job of making all the mobs angry at you once the blind wears off, but being an enchanter, I'm used to that anyway. ;) Overall a nice robe, and a very neat toy. I'll wear my Illusionist's Robe most of the time though I think, seeing as how that has a 40hp/30mana 7cha advantage over this. This would be a great robe for anyone without Velious/planes quest/dropped robes.
The look is very plain, no special graphics on it. Makes a Flowing Black Robe look exotic!
Hey, I was the lucky guy who got this while hunting with the guys in HA. The effect is right click and it has a cast time of 3 to 4 seconds. The look is dark when worn and the effect has a pretty huge range but is PBAoE.

BTW - Thanks Rumbar and everyone who invited me along 8*)
How hard is he? i know that last time we tried to pull him he had came with a train. We only had one group at the time. Would 2 groups be able to handle him w/o the adds?
Sequel of the Mythic Legion 59th Templar of Innoruuk Druzzil Ro
we usually do him with about 18 or so people, it can be done with less but you just need more patience cos the fight will take ages :) Also, enchanter DD spells land on him every time so we are nukers now! :)
The name of the creature that drops this is said to be Va'Dyn.... Switch the D and the V and you get Da'Vyn. same pronunciation of the Dark elf emperor in Crushbone.... I dunno if this is relavent i am just bored today.
This seems like a pretty decent robe for anyone on a pvp server. Blind is always nice to have, plus its got the resists and stats. Its a good robe to have, maybe not as good as Velious Class quest robes, but very good none the less.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Spell cast on you: Your sight disappears in a cloud of fog. Spell cast on someone: Soandso's head is surrounded by darkness.. Spell fades: The fog clears.
With the title of "the Wise," I would expect you to know that some spells don't have a casting time. =) Shadow fog does not have a listed casting time.
