Secrets of Faydwer
Sold one today for 40 K in less than an hour from loggin on. Initially started at 50K (and probably couldn've gotten that on trader, but meh.
One dropped last night. I wasn't there for very long. I was there for a few hours afterwards and nothing else dropped off nothing else in graveyard. Interesting.
This is one of a necro's primary DPS spells at 85. It's a shame when you have to waste hours and hours of factioning to get something some game changing (rk 2) or hope you get the 1/4500 drop rate that Magelo shows for RK 1.

Noticed something, maybe it's a bug, maybe SomeOne at EQ headquarters realzied how badly necros need this spell, but in the last 5 days, I got two copies. In consecutive days. In less than 6 hours combined. To speak plainly, I was SHOCKED.
I've also noticed wizard spells, and heck, just spells in general are dropping in Hills of Shade more frequently, at least off the frighteners and bone golems.. I hope this is not a fluke, because the rarity is/was NUTS.
How nuts?
I advertised one copy for 50K and got a tell, "Hey man, can I give you 40 so I'm not totally broke?" So I cut a deal for 40K. If I hadn't known him (at least his personality) from /general, I would've held on 50K........It's still worth 50K, 'cuz it still sells for 50K.
Still got one more copy to get rid of, heh.
I did move to the crows to see if like, say 5 copies of War March would drop, but they were being stingy. It figures.
So, you might be asking yourself, if the drop rate is better, and the zone is rarely camped, why are you sharing this info?

Th drop rate for this spell is HORRIBLE> If I had another copy, i'd sell it for 50K. In fact, there's a fella that offered me 50K if it ever fell again.
Rare as hen's teeth.

Since I made this post way back when, I've done a heap of killing in Hills of shade. I've seen 4 copies of this spell,total, with I'd reckon way, way over 1500 feral kills.
Sold one copy for 25K, three for 50K.
RK2 faction without crystallos is a major F'ng pain to get. You'll need the quests from Fenden Helter and ou get faction hits for the kills as well.
Thing is, getting that faction solo requires a lot of killing (2000 + mobs, I'd imagine) and it's a lot easier to max the faction when you can kill faster. Which means, you need Reaver's pyre.
Which sucks, because it's so freaking rare. I hope they make this researchable in the next expansion.
