Yarnhilted Longsword  

 

Drops off of Ebontail in Hills of Shade. He spawns at the Aviak area.

He is a rare spawn and the Sword is a -semi-rare drop, so prepare for a VERY long camp if you want to get this item.

- Crows are mezzable and rootable, but cast an unresistable blind.
- Aviaks are mezzable and rootable, they don't summon(at least they didn't summon us)
- Everything is slowable to partially except named which mitigate further.


Once we cleared the crows that patrol the area, the rest was easy.

I've seen him in the north west part of the zone. He spawns in the aviak part, if you explore you'll find a large circular area on your map. There are a lot of crows that spawn with the aviaks and the crows silence, blind and cast an ac debuff. It's annoying. The wander all the heck over the place and a good safe spot to pull to was hard. I wound up staying in the narrow 'path' or hallway leading to the aviaks. Since there were two of these I picked the closest one to the mob. I cleared some crows and pulled with snare. Was tough but wound up able to do it. I snared the adds mind you, not the named. Named is immune to run speed.

I can't tell you what the mob hits for because I had my mage pet tank it. Spammed the heck out of the mage pet and nuked it down with some other char. Dropped a lore, attunable range item for tank classes. I wasn't that impressed.
