ItemHello all, what does this blade look like? Are there any other weapons that look the same or close to it?
(Just wondering if I've actually seen someone running around with one or not. They seem rather rare.)

So all it takes is for an SK or Paladin to hit ST, get a prismatic scale as a drop then turn in their ST key and the scale...
WOW! Such an easy quest for uber folk to do!
Oh yeah then talk their guild into getting them a replacement key... hmmm...
I imagine these won't be all that common. Then again, for uber guilds that close recruiting and have keys for everyone to everywhere, a Zlandicar run to get another key is a half hour diversion so...
It would still probably be best if they to check with their guilds first. They may be in for some ugly conversations about what happened to their ST key otherwise.

I dont know about everyone else that reads these posts but i am getting so sick and tired of RANGERS pissing and moaning about all the weapons they cant use....Not often do you see a rogue or a warrior post about what weapons they cant use....They always look for the good ones they CAN use. Besides that about .00001% of the people that see any of these posts will ever even know someone who knows someone who has see an essence lens. Just my little rant on pissing and maoning RANGERS
Actually Jackaal, if you look at the high end game, Rangers are very under-represented. High-end Rogue weapons, including Rogue ONLY weapons, are incredibly common when taken in comparison with Ranger only weapons at this stage of the game. I can name two off the top of my head that are Ranger only. Tolan's Longsword of the Glade, and the Light Woodsman's Blade from SoL. How many ROG weps can you find in both of those expansions that meet or exceed the Rogue epic? A good many more than there are Rangers.
The reason you do not see Rogues and Warriors "pissing and moaning" over weapons is simple. They do not need to. They are more than amply represented in both general (Several classes can use) and Class specific (ROG only, for instance) weapons. By comparison, Rangers are sorely lacking in the class only department. There *are* numerous weapons that are improvements in the high end for Rangers, but these are weapons that they will be in competition for with Rogues and Warriors, who often get first takes on newer items. You end up with a guild equipping its MTs and Rogues (ultimate melee damage dealers) first in Velious, and ignoring upgrades for Rangers that are not class specific, and then being forced into the same position with the release of SoL.
Your complaint only holds wait if there are a balanced selection of weapons in the high end for Rangers. However, there are not. As you stated, 0.00001% of those who read this site will see most of these weapons, but judging by the nature of your complaints, I would judge that you are not in that select category of people who really know enough to have a basis for comment. Perhaps do a little searching next time before making a groundless complaint, neh?

its quite simple.
rangers dont get 1hs weapons as powerful as sk or palis because they can dual wield and have spell casting abilities..

verant also made it this way because rangers are typically whiney babies and its funny to see them cry.

Check out a ranger with a primal bow useing trueshot with some other aa abilities. On a lot of fights, they can easily outdamage wizards and rogues. Their crits make warriors cry so I wouldn't talk about warriors doing more damage than rangers.

Better than the rogue epic?? Umm... maybe one or 2, and they are so hard to get most rogues will never see them. Maybe Bloodbath and Khalshazar.
Heartwood thorn would make a nice offhander... But thats just it, if a Rogue actually gets something with a ratio good enough to take over the primary hand slot, the epic is still in use for the secondary hand. Also, when you get down to it I see plenty of Ranger only BOWS out there, and that alone is a boon enough for a ranger. Rangers also get SPELLS, we Rogues dont even get MANA /cry. Honestly, there are just as many Rogue only weapons as Ranger only, but it doesnt come down to weapons meant for exclusive classes. Best melee weapons in the game are useable by multiple classes. Primal Etc.

The reason rangers are not listed as a class which can use it is because this weapon is designed for the classes that do not get dual wield. Same reason warriors and rangers cannot use things like the Mace of Shadowed Souls or the Noctivigant (sp) Blade.

Get all 4 essence items? You need to turn in your sleepers tomb key every time you do this quest, i really dont think anyone will kill 4 first brood dragons and hand in there keys just for these. Far better weapons drop and items as well that are much easier to get. Not to mention the sleeper has to be awoken for you to even do this quest.
Talismans, you mean. I doubt many people are going to go and kill kland and crew a bunch of times and give up the talismans they drop for some fairly decent items, this was designed for people who stop going to ST after sleeper is awakened because of no more warder drops and rarer primal/priceless drops, a way of getting a little more out of it. However, knowing Verant, someday their gonna have a GM event that involves capturing the sleeper and putting him back in the tomb again, and then restoring all the drops back to pre awakened style, just to make people do the key quest again.

why make them do the keys all over. . .w/ the way the warders were they might make you find where the sleeper is hanging out and then gain items. . .and you would have to engage him in a battle(maybe make him a little easier or increase the abilities of players) or even make you lead 4 new warders to him to put him back asleep. . .just thoughts.

Just get all 4 essense items and look watch as your resists shoot up....the life and mana adding is all very nice
Anyone have info on the procs for this and the mace? Sounds like a kind of lifetap spell to me. Any info would be great, thx.
