you know, that was a really cool series of events they had going for halloween.
I hope they decide to do more events like those.

The events were a mixed bag. some good loot was handed to us, but at what cost?

Never, in all my time playing EQ (since 1st day of public release) have I ever seen such a gross example of infectious greed. It was disgusting. Never have I heard more accustions of KSing than the Halloween events. Never had I had more DEMANDS for GGs and buffs (esp. SoW) than during the events. People were rude, uncaring and childish. It was a pathetic display. I got 1 item I could use, and left, never to return to any of the zones unless I had to pass thru them.

All in all, it was sad.

I agree to some extent...

Hey dude,

I agree with you that there were a lot of high level players KS'ing everything they were close to..but then again there were plenty of high level people who killed a bunch of stuff the lower levels would never be able to kill, and would call out /loc to the zone..all in all, it was a mixed bag.

I don't think this hurt EQ, but I think it gave you a great view of the people who really don't care about anyone else, and are greedy, etc. Yet, it also may have made you some friends at the same time (the nice ones). An event like this brings out the best and worst in people, and usually a person's real personality. In any case, yeah, on Saturday I started camping the boss Kevagon the Dreadful in EK (he spawned every 10-15 minutes if no one would stand in the room he spawned). My group got dwindled down after a while due to the regular people going to bed or going to work or whatever...in any case I replaced everyone, and I let another group come as well...We had an order of getting items all setup, and then this really exceptionally high lvl group came and started KS'ing. Not only did they take every item they needed, they DELETED the others so others couldn't have any LOOT whatsoever! We were so pissed, and we tried /report and /petition but I'm sure those lines were clogged with stuff like this. In any case, these guys didn't stop there. They started saying what they were deleting, or lying about what they got, all in an attempt to **** us off; they did. Here we had two great groups working for everyone (we all were staying there until we all got what we needed, and would give away what we didn't need to passersby) and this group of thieves, ****** and crooks had to come and do that. We decided to go to another zone.

The next day we came back and a few of those guys who were in that KS'ing group were as well. They didn't say anything (i believe the gm's had a little talk with em') and then I noticed a guy I was grouping with (earlier in the week) and was having a good time with who was in the same GUILD (same guild as the ks'ers)...that ended the KS'ing from those other ****** In any case there were some good people who were really nice, and then there were some totally disgusting people who have no respect for anything and you wonder why they're allowed to live.

It dropped off Tishe Virm in NRo during the Halloween events (which have now been shut off).. Tishe Virm was the snake boss in that lvl that you had to lure out of the water by giving the bishop or whoever it was a bunch of fungis that you recieved by killing the undead Virme.
