I LIKE THIS BP! lol its nice for Clerics IMO who cant get better, I.E me. im still using a bloodstained tunic from 30 levels ago that i baught for 100pp, i meen come on if you cant get better, this is great! btw i want to buy/trade for this, ill trade above what the normal PC is on bertoxx, low on pp atm... also want the leggings... just look me up on bertoxx if u have to sell /tell Fuzzleton, thanks for your time byebye =)

I have a 53rd cleric that is my first character that I have been playing for a little over a year now. I must say that this is one very very nice breastplate. Considering at my level I am still wearing my Breastplate of the Constant (ac20 +8stm +5vs magic) because I am poor and cannot buy better and have not been luck enough to loot better. Plane raids are sweet except that with clerics you are going to be rolling against at least 3 other people most times... that is if you can get on plane raids. With my work schedule it is very difficult.
So for all you who think this is a LAME item for the level you get it at... hand it to me PLEASE :)

Sure it has fine stats, and ok AC. But if I was lvl 50, id have someting better , and I would not pay 6kpp for this item, hell no! OK for twinking yes indeed! but not worth 6kpp maybe 2500pp, just for the +6 wis,+6 str and 18 Ac. Might be worth it. just my 2 cp worth.

You dont play a druid do you? At level 50 there isn't much beter then this. I have found very few, Velius Quest BP's good luck getting the BP to drop for you, Crystal Chitin BP, Vermiculate. I am level 56 and would gladly dump my ulthork for this until I can get my SS BP.
Exactly. As a druid you usually go...
1. Foreman's Tunic
2. Ulthork Tunic
3. Nature's Shroud
4. Verm Tunic (IF you're lucky in Fear)
5. Thurg/Kael/SS Tunic (Again IF you're lucky on a raid, and have the rare black marbles)
6. Crystal Chitin (once you can afford to lose the wis)
7. PoM Quest armor
There really isn't very many options for a druid. As Gidan said I would love to drop my Nature's Shroud for this BP as well. Same wis, but more AC, etc.

My 48 iksar monk has better equipment,ac,stats,etc than the majority of monks level ~48 who aren't of the "lucky few". I.E. have no responsibilities in real life, play a lot, have good, large, powerful, active guilds.
The rest of the everquest community does not simply pick up a fungi tunic, or phase spider carapace, or go kill Woushi just because they're bored or want to satisfy their curiosity.

i agree, cheers cheers to this post, i am a level 51 ranger that still wears ivy BP and leggings with ry'gorr other stuff. To get some of the better stuff u have to get lucky and be in the right place at the right time

Up until a couple of days ago, I would have jumped at the chance to get this item for my monk. I was fortunate enough, however to be one of the 10 or 20 monks on my server that got the Gold Threaded Tunic (20 AC, 1.0 weight, plus 10 to all saves) from the Halloween events that ended recently. I suspect that for the most part it will be druids and monks that go for this particular item.
Speaking as a Rogue this is good armor but not great. By the time a rogue could hunt Chardok the player would have better armor. Stats are slightly better than Ravenscale or Ry'Gor. As a rogue would I pay 6000p for this? Nope. But for classes limited to non-metal armors this could be good.

I'm going to have to go with the populace and say this is mainly for druids. AC is too low for any of the other melees (monks can/should get Fungi, too) and even the other priests.
I dont know who loads your dice, but the items which fall in the "should be better than this" catagory are not that easy to get for casual gamers. I have a 52 war that is one year old and has over 60 day played. She still wears iksar trooper scale, despite numerous planes raids and seb trips. Yesterday, for example, 6 hours at the pyramid in seb. The group got 3 cane of tranqual and a buncha gem stones. That is it. First time in Chardok though, she won a battle shield - which she uses (bash is great on casting mobs).
Bottome line is, i would wear this since it is better than my current armor. And, in case you were wondering, she duel weilds a SCH/CoT or uses a sarnak battle hammer.

Actually I think you are the idiot. High level warriors that can't slam hotkey a shield in a main inventory slot and hotkey their secondary slot. That way when the need arises they swap in the shield, bas, swap in the weapon. If you are good enough it takes all of a second.

By the time you are doing chardok, or high enough to do chardok, the druid and possibly (doubt it) the monk are going to be the only 2 classes that did not have something better for the most part.
What is the graphic on this? if it was a plate look would be dang fun for druids.
It's purple-ish.
Looks like leather. Maybe a little different if you have the velious textures on, but otherwise looks like plain brown leather.

I have the Vambraces on my Halfling druid. They are black leather with deep blue diamond shapes on the front. Looks VERY sweet. :) It definately redefines what druids can look like now.

Nathasar armor does have a velious type texture. it's very nice and a WELCOME new look for druids. It is basically black, with very nice DEEP blue designs. a very very dark blue, it looks awesome.
