My ranger had been using this for ever. Finally got a nice upgrade from named in ButcherBlock, so went to sell it in Bazaar. Started to ask 100p, then noticed everyone was selling their's for 3-4K, so upped price to 300p. Then read on Alla all the posts, and realized that it would be stupid to sell for 300, so raised the price to 2.5K. Seems way too high for what it is, but guess it was a rare drop from Chardok that I grabbed when camping the AnkleSmashers some time back.
Some items just sell for way over what they are actually worth. This, in my humble opinion, is just another "over-priced item". I realize it's usuable for newbies, but still....

Waking up old thread, The breastplate I think is the rare, this has got to be common as I am camping fabled for alt and got tons of this and seen the BP only a few times in two days

i had a lvl 10 human SK and i went to my freeport GM to train in 2H slash and saw a npc with a subtitle 'shadowknight supplies' or something of the sort... i checked them out to see if they have anything interesting i can use... i saw this on them for only 750PP !!!!! sadly i had to log when i got to the bank to get enough for this ...but the next day IT WAS STILL THERE!!! i bought it with the plat i was given as a noob (to many i still am ...only 4 months playing) and so i feel like the luckiest noob on eq! :)
Killed the King a few times today (trying) to get the Argent Protector for a friend, but no luck yet. The info here in the other posts was quite helpful. Shrinking twice and shadowstepping got me through the first locked door. To get past the second locked door I dropped through the fake floor and ran through his room to FD on the ramp for two minutes. There was at least one undead in the King's room but I was through the room too fast for him to notice me. How does anyone miss an ogre running by you? a Reanimated Berserker: "What was that?" a Dizok Researcher: "I didn't see nothin'. Pay attention: 'Golstaff, you have entered the door to the north. You are now by yourself, in a dark room. The pungent stench of...' GOD... What IS that pungent stench??"
Killed one roamer and then waited a bit before killing the rest. Second best SK pet, no gear and no buffs except haste was able to single pull the King and make it back to me pretty easily without dying. Timed it so that the first roamer repops during the King fight and adds; this keeps the King from running at low health since I couldn't land any snares on him even with Aura of Darkness to lower his resists a little (although I forgot to try my tash stick). An inta-click junk buff is good to have in your first buff slot when he dispells you.
Keeping at it 'til the sword drops. Shame to see the breastplates rot after the first.

Great Twink item when level 20 and the damage cap is better. Better to train mostly with fast weapons till then.

OH yea i just got 1 for my lvl 38 pally (untwinked) for only 500 pp he musta put up wrong price but i saw it with my alt and logged on with pally then sprinted from butcherblock to bazaar and bought this baby!

I have one of these and the Damage bonus is bout 29. Cant remember off the top of my head cause I dont use it much anymore. But nice weapon.

I have this on Debit on the Morrel-Thull server and I love it. Used to use the Great Axe of Decapitation but this is a major upgrade from that!! I managed to get mine for I think it came out to 3k

I have a lvl 30 sk on quellous server and i waited and waited......Fianlly i saw someone who put it for 4k. But i haggled it down to 2500pp

6k on 7th hammer tonight.. the average seems to run from 6k to 8k. Pretty sure that trader was delusional that sold it for 215p. Short Sword of the Ykesha sells to a vendor for more than that.. 238p. lol. I wish I was on my trader for that sale.

Sure you weren't looking at an Argent Defender? This Argent Protecter is about 6-7k.

Just got one on Xev for about 3500pp for my pally and let me say this, it has a slow delay but the damage is insane for a sword that cheap and with no recommanded lvl. I've seen em as cheap as 2k a couple of times so if you are a pally or SK i suggest you save up for one.

On Ayonae Ro these go from 2-3k they are good weapons, but folks if your on Ayonae Ro get a reaver instead. 40 dmg 40 dly 11 to all saves and they changed it so it is now a magic item (they did this like 8 months ago but o well) Reavers go from 3-4k on Ayonae and Windys are like 11-15k

This is a great sword.. At lvl 42, Im hitting avg 90-150. Had a crit Yesterday that went around 240. I have my 1Hs maxed, and my 2Hs is only at 176. So I started using this to max it. And I cant seem to put it down now. But, my dream of all dreams for a 2Hs is Blade of War.. I drool everytime I think of it.. hehe.. Anyways.. This sword goes for around 5k on drinal. Its always good to have one on ya. Cause its cool like that.

Boys and girls, it pays to shop the bazaar, at least on Bristlebane! Now, I could be confused for a pimp...hehehe Call me Lucky (again), the same vendor was selling Goranga Idol for 15pp, cougar claw earring for 15pp, crystaline belt 15pp.... She's not selling them any more! I'm headed to Queynos to camp a fishbone... if ya happen by wave!

I want one but one fennin ro they are expensive. I am currently using an arbitor's combine greatsword 30/43 and switching back to the argent defender. I was wondering if anyone can give me any advice or just ideas.

Better weapon for SK than warrior. I have both types. Warrior definitely main tank and should use dual wield. This is best for SK that can be main assist. This is a good main assist weapon...thats all.

Ogre SKs should actually be up there with the MTing. Why? Because our taunt is the best! DoTs and lifetaps, as well as AC and STR taps aggro you, they do.
I have never ONCE lost aggro to a warrior of the same level. Simple as that.

Ok, I know this is off topic, it has nothing to do with the sword and for that I apologize. I just want to know, Lundaein, why would you make an enchanter and choose a deity? Your illusions are going to be FAR less effective because of that and it will make completing your epic VERY difficult without lots of faction work.

Agree. No one can hold aggro like an SK, when playing my shammy i would take an SK as MT anyday over a warrior. I have had slow resist 3 times b4 it stuck and never pulled agg off the SK. Now on raid day ya can't beat the HPs of a buffed up and well equipped warrior.

Today, on E'ci a VERY nice Vah Shir came and buffed my group as we learned the basics in East Commons. On his way out, he gave this to me! I almost wet myself! I will be using this for a VERY long time to come. Thank you so much!

I got this thing from a Guildie. Was nice, I traded a Centi Ls and 1k for this. Love it, I am doing more damage than I could with a Centi Ls in 2-5 battles. (Saying I can do less damage than AP in 5 Battles with Centi) Average stroke at 47 is about 90-100. Sometimes I can get lucky and hit for 180 with buffs. I solo easily now and I am happy =)

I bought this bad boy a few weeks ago in the Bazaar for around 3k. I must say this is the best buy Ive made yet. I am officially the happiest little dwarf on the Xev server. I average around 95-150 damage when Un-buffed. With Yaulp II I have hit for around 180 before. All goblins and undead tremble in my precense.

I am now OFFICIALLY the HAPPIEST Shadowknight in all of Tholuxe Paells!!!! A very generous gnome sold an Argent Protector for around 2k with some misc. trade items! As a troll with around 231str/buffed I am a Damage beast!!!! WooHoo!!
