It took a while, but I finally got both the tunic and the mask. Despite the weight of 1.0 on each item, I wear both of them. I am a level 53 monk with an epic by the way. At my level, getting accepted into a group that is camping fungi is very difficult, so the Gold Threaded Tunic will probably have to do me for a while. I will still probably use it whenever I need the saves though. I love the mask! I will probably use it until I one day acquire an eyepatch of plunder. The saves on it are pretty good too.
But it's free

The main point is, this is a nice item for free!! And all that you have/had to do was spend some time over the four or five days of these events in one of many zones to get one. What a deal, some people didn't even have to kill anything for one of these!! Most drops were /ooc'd by many in the zones actively killing.

Sitting in EK with my level 3 monk... I got...
Silken slippers (not right name)
Agi4, dex2, ac5.
Headband of the righteous
ac5, hp20 sv all but magic +2
Shoulders, er silken
agi 4 dex 3 sv cold 5, AC 6
-By the way.. which is better.. that or the drolvarg mantle? The GM event shoulders have weight 0.3...
#Anonymous, Posted: Nov 02 2001 at 1:32 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This has really nice stats, but it's 1.0 weight? That's heavy for a monk..and before you go off about how its just an item that weighs a little more... a LOT of items these days weigh just "a little more"

Actually, monks get a lot of good items. 10 ac for a mask is very good, plus you have the SV's. Theres also a 20ac 10 SVall tunic that drops that suprisingly, *gasp*, monk only! Plus, theres those monk-only silken slippers which I cant remember the stats on but are very nice for the level that drops them. And, the monk belt. Hmm...rogues get, a PoS 4/17 dagger, a decent cloak, a decent collar, and some PoS gloves. Out of all classes, rogues get shafted the worst.

Actually, as far as rogue items, there's a pair of rogue-only slippers (Slippers of the Shadow Stalker) that are really nice.

AC6 +10agi +3dex +10svmagic (or so I am told by my rogue friend who got them)

10 sv magic on boots and 10 to agi is, in my book, pretty nice. Best item that SK gets is, I think, the ac10 cloak, which is pretty good, but replaceable with a 1k item (spider fur cloak). The chance of a monk replacing a 10ac with saves face slot or the Gold Threaded Tunic (which has AC near that of the Kael Quest BP, PLUS better saves, which are essential at higher levels) with a 1k item is very low.

OMG stop crying. Bards NEEDED a weapon like the Flameweaver because they cant melee crap at mid-high levels. Kiting has nothing to do with it. You cant kite when your jumped in a dungeon trying to get to a group.

Monks got a 20AC 10 to ALL resists tunic. Thats pretty damn good. Monks dont NEED snare either to ID kite. I ID kite just fine. Stop whining and get yourself some damn jboots or buy sow potions.

Stop whining.

The tunic was dropping from KeVagon (the EK boss mob) - the bard mace was dropping from yard trash (Haunting Revenants - RM, Phantoms - EK) They are not comparable drops, KeVagon was dropping from a superior loot table than the basic mobs. There were some bard drops from KeVagon - can't remember what exactly.
#Anonymous, Posted: Nov 02 2001 at 6:56 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Well.. I guess I can start the fires ablaze.. People uze Fungi Tunic, quested tunics, and bandages for downtime recouperation..
Haunting Revenant

Dropped this in RM. He dropped a flameweaver too. These mobs dropped 2 loots everytime we killed them, seemed random what they dropped. Had flameweaver drop on a higher level spec in EK too, in the gorge running along HH ramp.

Not random - RM drops were keyed

Haunting Revenants (Garg sprite) were dropping non tank class melee items (bard/ranger/monk)

Nightfall Wraiths (Spec Sprite) were dropping int caster items.

Wretched Mares (Black Horse Sprite) were dropping wis caster items.

I assume SK/Warrior/Pally stuff was dropping from the named bloodbones.
Ack!
