The formula for one-handers is (level-25)/3 so you will start seeing your damage bonus at level 28 and up. This bonus applies to two-handers as well. To figure two-handers, you have the following formulas:

(Damage Bonuses are always rounded down (ie, 7.65 = 7))

(FAST) IF WeaponDelay <= 27
1.) DamageBonus = One Handed DamageBonus + 1

(MEDIUM) IF WeaponDelay >= 28 AND <= 39
1.) DamageBonus = One Handed DamageBonus + (Level - 27) / 4

(SLOW) IF WeaponDelay >= 40 AND <= 42
1.) DamageBonus = One Handed DamageBonus + ((Level - 27) / 4) + 1

(VERY SLOW) IF WeaponDelay > 42
1.) DamageBonus = One Handed DamageBonus + ((Level - 27) / 4) + (WeaponDelay - 34) / 3

saw one drop today, after this dude chain CHealed himself. Word of advice from our first attempt .. if the enchanter dies (ours was 60 and got eaten after she dazzled the add a few times) just camp your cleric, cause your *** is wiped.

I've had this thing on my warrior for like 5 months. It dropped in the pit off one of the very high lvl(58) named but its been so long i have forgotten which. I used it at first to increase my 2 hand skill but now its really a pretty bland weapon. Its slow, heavy but i looks cool. I still have it, hell Edd still caries it even. As far as damage bonus post 50 every weapon recieves a different damage bonus. EX Edd has this with a bonus of 17 but his reaver 40/40 non magic weapon has a damage bonus of 13. I quit to play DAoC for 7 weeks so im outa the loop here but I am kinda hoping to get a little info on why this is so. IE its and axe vs sword or its teh delay that increases damage bonus.

Damage bonus is based on delay and level. The 45 delay weapon is gonna have a higher damage bonus than the 40 delay weapon.

To be honest the best use i can see for most guilds high enough to snag this is to sell it. Either to a member for a twink or in EC, whatever.

The cash it could generate (remember, some folks are high enough level to have cash but don't have the guild to grab something like this) might actually be worth more then putting this on a member.

Mind you i'm not saying it's a horrible weapon, it is nice, just not on par with some other stuff you can snag at this level of the game.

warriors should always use both, even if they dont have their epic(2 1hs that combine to a 2hs) in a group with more than one warrior, the warrior should use 2hs so he doesnt get as much aggro as the main warrior,who should dual 1hs/1hb/1hp/etc

not too bad as a 2hs weapon... more for a war or possibly a sk as a lower cost sword, pallys should stick with arbitors combine till epic.. unless of corse u get a ultra rare drop sword.

Posting the dmg bonus for all weapons would be pointless. They vary from level to level and only go into effect post-50. It would be a waste of time to post the dmg bonus because people would then start complaining about how that is not the damage bonus they have on the same weapon.

Right on. But some people obviously haven't caught on to that yet. There are so many misconceptions out there, that I doubt that you could correct them all, ... even if you wanted to try.

There is no way they could do that, unless you *ONLY* had one character registered here. I have several, how would they determine which damage bonus (and some of my characters would get none...) would they display?

Think about it for a minute or two.... even if they could show your character's damage bonuses, for all your characters, would you *WANT* 7 different, or 20 different, whatever, damage bonuses listed, cluttering up your screens?

I know I don't.

I think what the guy above you was saying is that it would be good to link it to the individual characters when you look at them on the 'your characters' screen. When you attatch a weapon on a post 50 character if it would show you what the Damage Bonus is at that lvl, not on the item search page. If it is the other way, they yeah, I gotta agree, cant list it for all of your characters, that would be wayyy to much work.

ok stats, heavy but the + sta lets u swing longer and give u the nice hp bonus. Rather have this than an argent defender since if yer 100 + u dont have to worry bout running out since if makes no difference once yer OOS. For a warrior the Sta is more useful than the 20 Mana! Dont bother flaming me, i know i'm right.

It is a bit better than my Argent Defender, without the mana increase. It has stamina increase though which is nice for warriors.
