Took my first trip down to Chardok this morning.
Five hours later I am a pimp golden halfling maestro.
After that I ran up to Trak's Teeth and got an Iksar mask first kill. )

Camped it from.. ~11pm - ~12:30am (morning of 8/4). Mask dropped on 4th spawn! Had Vet ph, Vet ph, Named (ring), and Named (mask!!#!&*^#).
So it drops, still!

spent 4 days in a row at this camp, each session about 12-16 hours.
got 8 capes, 10 rings, like 25 daggers, and 1 mask... yay!

started the other night been doing this camp for about 28 hrs so far this is what I have 42 Veteran Overseer kills, 24 Scarred Overseer kills, 18 Overseer Dal'guur kills. 4 capes , 5 rings, 9 daggers. No mask yet ... still awake... help me God .... Update 41 hrs in straight no breaks 85 ph 21 named 0 mask... I'll keep you posted...45 hours 56 veteran , 38 scarred, 25 Overseer Dal'guur 0 mask

Camped him for 3 hours, all PH's, I leave to go kill some stuff in UP, come back afterwards and he's up! So I kill him thinking i'm gonna get a cape, but he had the mask !

A new EQ record! It has to be. Myself (Benue) and Theegore (another rogue) camped this for 4 hours, the Overseer spawned 4 times and we both got a mask. 2 masks in 4 kills has to be record for this rare mask. BTW, the spawn is 20 min with PH's. We also got a cape and a backstabber.

Soloed as a 65 Bard over 5 days of majority of my real life day being in the camp. Glanced on other posts and would like to share that I timed the spawn at 21:20 a majority of the time (90%) with small variances of about 20-30 seconds on others.

pher's and named do not walk from spawn point unless you move them (aggro) or kill too slow (nuke and his hp drop to 2% instead of dead). when he walks, ~everything~ aggros
veteran and named enrage at 9 percent
65 bard with 60 druid buffs could almost always melee any down without heals.
230 mobs:
110 veterans
54 scarred
66 named - 18 rings, 14 capes, 33 backstabbers
and 1 mask
also nice spells and research components, i made a decent amount of exp and cash just killing the pher/named. took me from max ally to apprehensive.
met a bard who would charm the PHer and sic it down the hall past the chokidai, using FM when charm broke, letting him walk back up the hall, then resending it down till it poofed. no faction hit, no exp, no loot, but faster than meleeing.
either way i'm a happy halfling now, with her cute red braids =)

After 2 long hours of arduously lulling / invising myself and my wizard, both 65, through Chardok and it's tunnels - we arived at the overseer spawn spot. We stationed ourselves at a safe spot - in between the red chokidai close by, and the overseer - but just out of the overseer's line of sight, generating no aggro from either of the 2 mobs.
I started first by casting Strike of Solusek (Without the benefit of any spell haste equipment), and immediately having my bard sing Dreams of Terris. SoS having an 8 second cast time, and Dreams of Thule having 4 seconds - the overseer was mesmerised immediately after the spell landed. I kept doing this till the overseer was dead - had bard play Shauri's for the next 20 minutes till the next PH spawned.
I did this for about 2 hours, roughly 7 PH spawns, until Overseer Dal'guur himself spawned! I was excited as heck - but then reading the previous acount posted on the safehouse - I was skeptic and knew my chances of getting the mask on the first time were very, very slim.
Never the less - I did the same tactic with the others - SoS, mes, SoS, mes, until Dal'guur was dead. I checked his corpse - - - AND THERE IT WAS! The Dessicated Halfling Mask - under 3 hours =)
Of course, the response from my fellow bards were less than encouraging =):

it should be illegal to get that mask in that amount of time >:(
alot of people are going to hate you for that =)
But, my point is, you never know when you'll get lucky =)

I am not sure actually, i have seen 2 of them drop of my server in a relatively short amount of time, maybe verant has finaly decided to up drop on this.(bout friggin time!)Since noone does chardok now tho, who can ever be sure?

Can anyone verify or prove that this mask still drops? Been there countless times no mask yet.
I was in chardok the other day and a guy came up from camping the mask... Made himself a halfling so I'm pretty sure it still drops

Just one question, when are they going to come out with a kat and dwarf mask?!?!?!?!
Already have it. Dwarf Mask (Besmirched Mask of Conception) drops in Sleeper's Tomb off of Vyskudra and the Vah Shir Mask (Guise of the Hunter) drops in Ssraeshza Temple off of a Shissar Assassin.

How many masks do I have to look up and on every forum there are about 10 list of all the masks, geese we know already.
OK now for the real question. I am here researching how hard it would be for my guild to get around 2 of the Halfling masks. We have done Qeen a bunch so shouldn't be a problem but you don't see many if any of these masks around that often. On our server sleeper is awake so this is the only shrink mask that could help our rogues BS in crowded situations. Thanks in advance.

I'd bring an extra pair of sox with you if you are going to try and get the halfling mask in just one nights camp. It's best to take this camp over a period of time and just camp it everynight for the purpose of exp, cause that mask is just too dame rare.
Also, I think we all know that bards need to change form Way more than a mere Rogue, I mean common, we're just cooler :)

We have been camping this mask for the past 3 months for our rogue friend. During this time we have killed the Overseer about 12 times, with no luck on the mask.
The good news is, the xp is excellent down here

There are a few problems with obtaining this mask.
You need a very good group to do his area, which is near Niblek. If your guild is doing VP keys your guild may stop by there while clearing, but with so many non kos people now, a lot can just hit niblek and run to zone to turn in gems there.
Even if you get to the Overseer, he drops other gear a lot. I seen about 10 overseer's die, 5 backstabers 4 capes 1 ring, no masks =\. He appears about 1 in 3 times with a veteran overseer, and a scarred overseer being PH's.
Unless you get real lucky, be prepared for a long haul to get this mask.
