Dropped off of an escaped sarnak footman in Field of Scale a few minutes ago
Dropped off a librarian, stonefist cenobite, imperial sentry, vault protector and a vault sentry in Kaesora Library.

Dropped from "a sunstone reaver" goblin on Suncrest Ridge (The Buried Sea zone) island while I was attempting to complete the Suncrest task arc for the Jonas Dagmire hand augment. Was quite a nice surprise.

Dropped from "a Gnoll" in the revamped Blackburrow just now.
This also drops from many different types of mobs inside Meldrath's Majestic Mansion not just the maids.

I have been doing SHIP instance 1 given by Gurtrude the Spymaster for xp and aug drops. In about 200 mob kills give or take 50. Havent kept accurate count. I have gotten 6 porous loams , 1 exquisite spinnerette fluid and 1 exquisite marrow and 1 aug. Seems like a decent drop rate /shrug Oh btw i dont go up the elevator to entrance to solo since thats pretty much suicide hehe i stay at bottom and go around the building and use the drop off with the ladders as a kite point. Hope this helps.

This dropped the other night in The Hive 69.1 Hard spell mission. It's the second one we've gotten from that mission. Very rare drop, but it does show up off the trash shiliskin or deep orc mobs.
Tried 2 times today, notta loam from 69.1, going to give it another go if that fails i think i will have to move on.
Was tickled pink when it dropped off of Gimblax today while boxing my Shamy on a DoN.
Bazaar price on E-mar is 150-300k. 5 of the seven people selling them are @ 200k.... if anyone cares :)

Had one drop last night in Thalassius, in the fire coral mission, off one of the kedge guys. I'm not sure exactly which one.

I recently have spent 8 full days in Gyro Beza and have killed uncountable amounts of Gnomes and Minos there and not a single one of these has ever dropped. Either im just really that unlucky or Sony has &#@$ us again . Thanks Sony. So for you farmers out there May want to watse your time in higher zones I guess.

I think the quest is killing the reavers not the loam itself
Porous Loam is used to make elegant gear as well as sublime augs

Greetings, just thought that we could put up a current list KNOWN drops since the patches that have patched the patches to patch the patch.
Please list zone and mob you had a loam drop off of from the dates Jan 22 forward.
I know that what / who the loams are supposed to drop off of, but I would like to see a list of actual drops verified, not by what Sony tells us but what players are experiencing.

honestly, they were just right at the rate they were dropping in fortress. not common, but if you busted your butt all day long, you would most likely get 1, not always, but usuaully. this doesnt even make sense, made the tradeskill items non venderable, and now making them non existent, all this is going to do is make some people VERY VERY rich. i know people that have stocked up on STACKS of fluids/marrows/loams all across servers because they were banking on you nerfing them. Gratz i was wrong, they are rich beyond belief soon. so much being tradeskiller friendly, guess the plat farmers win again.
the Sublime components were NOT supposed to be dropping in the fortress mechanotus zone in anything but the rarest of luck. The elegant is supposed to drop there, and still is. It is just rarer than it used to be. Sublime stuff is intended to drop in the mansion, steam factory, ship workshop and crystalos.
AND
The sublime components may drop outside the zones I listed, but thy only have about a 0.03% chance to drop per kill of appropriate level NPC's I.E. ultra-rare. Within the four zones listed above the chance is way better.

NO LONGER DROP ANYWHERE EXCEPT SOF FROM WHAT I HAVE SEEN SINCE 12/12/07 PATCH. I used to farm them in the mission,"Stop the ritual" in silysar. Farming orum and faction and tradeskill items at the same time.

About a week ago i was in HoH and i got one didnt know it was worth so much and i destroyed , now i am beating myself up. it was off a rabid wyorjong i think the name was but i not sure on spelling it looks like a blue dog
