wait a minute, this thing is only for rangers? this is a secondary weapon for a low-level rogue sent from the heavens! EQ messed this one up...
i got oce of these when i was 19, used it with the Wakizashi of the Frozen Skies until i was master a peircing then switched the Wak over and the best part is when u dual weild and double attack u can hit (and i do at least once a fight)
12,13,12,13... if i'm real lucky i hit all those plus both proc... happened about 4 times from 20 till 22... but the damage adds up to a decent 169hp... just thought i'd share.. is a nice pair if u get 'em cheap (20pp each)..

I bought it at 15 hoping it would proc, it didnt. Even so I still used it a little in CB and i would have prced 3 times. I wasn't hitting hard enough to kill stuff so I had to switch back to my normal weap. My skill didn't go up at all either. I used it again last night at 20 and it was ok. I skill up once in 30 min and it procced twice I think with 95 dex. I sold it for 40p to a 17 ranger in our group who will use it later. Bought for 40p in bazaar too. All in all its and ok weap for newbs to practice piercing but i didn't like the dmg.

This weapon cant be used for newb under 30 cuz it wont porc till then. just like my spear that has the same efftect and hasnt porc not even at 25. so i had to find something better and got me a centiwar spear.
as posted slightly earlier i had it and it proc'd at 20... and actually i think it started proccing at 15.... but like every other weapon with a proc... the start lvl is reported definitely by ppl to be anywhere from 5-60

This is a very nice weapon. Received it as a trade for a Blackened Alloy Longsword, and have been pleased with it so far! Mine procs 2 to 3 times a fight with a dex over 125. Good weapon for us Ranger types to practice piercing skill, because next good piercers are Dragon Horn of Ykesha which procs at 36th lvl and the ultimate Ranger weapon (before Epics and other high end toys) the Lupine Dagger, 9/18, +4 dex/wis, effect: Greater Wolf Form. Why choose a Lammy over a Lupine if you are a Ranger? To all young rangers out there, keep all your skills maxed out. Safe travels and good hunting!

I was lucky enogh to recieve this as a gift from a complete stranger, while I was medding in Crush bone entrance. This item is listed as Lore. So, what is the quest that this is used in?

LORE doesn't mean it's used in a quest. LORE simply means you can only own one at any given time (on your person OR in the bank).

The effect is a level 14 shaman Direct-Damage spell. 81 points of damage, cold based. This wakizashi also begins to proc at level 20.
So, in comparison, the wakizashi has roughly the same damage/delay, falls under the more commonly used 1hs skill for rangers, has lower weight, has a proc that does more than twice as much damage, procs at the same level, and it's not lore so you can dual wield them. It's also a nice looking sword, especially if you have two. It's almost like a Short Sword of Ykesha for newbies.
The quest, however, isn't too terribly easy, unless you have some really good luck finding some of the quest items.

More to the point, everyone and their next door neighboor's cousin is trying to do the Wak quest, so I would wait a bit.

Excellent weapon for a low to mid level ranger. I got mine as a guild present at 20, so I got the proc right away. I had never tried piercing before, but with a DEX of only 95, I had this maxed by level 22. Very nice blade indeed.

I love this weapon. I suggest owning one to see why. It might not be as good proc wise and ratio wise as the DH Yak piercer, but hell, the damn thing procs at almost half the level of the DH Yak. IMO its a great weapon.

Nice blade. I started using it with icetooth claws just to play around with it and raise up piercing. I have grown attached to it. The low delay has made my skill go up fast. Stil doesn't do as much damage as my other 1hs wpns, but I use this one the most.

Level 8 Wizard spell. 35 damage or so. Not too shabby.

i got one of these at level 8 and am now level 17, lemme say right now that this weapon rules! i now dual wield it with icetooth claws in my main and it in my off hand, it does insane damage and when it starts proccing it will be the best!

imthinking 30ish. i have one but didnt get it till i was the lvl to get into kaesora and it proced for me right off.

A Ranger friend of mine got one from another friend when she was L22. Proced immediately, so proc level is 22 or lower.
