Here or Overthere

Even if you're KOS to outpost, this could be handy in certain situations, if it's insta-cast. Imagine going LD on a plane, in a dragon lair or deep in a dungeon and not being able to get back on until after the raid is over. When you get back, click this and even if you die you'll have a much easier CR.

I have one of these on my enchanter. It goes in the ammo slot. as mentioned.

It dropped off one of the sarnaks in the room across the bridge from where the really big named golem pops, but not towards all the necro sarnaks. If you're coming from zone, cross the first bridge inside the castle, go straight down the long, twisty corridor, then you'll come to a second bridge. Cross it and take a left across another little bridge.

You have now entered an area with a few level 55 mobs, and a passage down into a room chock full of level 53-57 stuff. There must have been 12-15 mobs in there. My group and another group of 8 or so people, 55-60 worked together to clear this area out.

After we had done so, inside that room a mob popped that said something about "needing to escape to the Outpost". Unfortunately, before we had put two and two together, a few sarnaks popped and immediately killed it. Our suspicion is the Courier's potion is intended to be given to this mob (which is on VS faction, we think) when it pops.

But who knows?

interesting...i am comprised of mostly ****. thank you for noticing. and btw i never said i had problems w/ account sharing. all i said was that it was a bannable offense. and on top of that i only said it in response to the anonomous person who said it wasn't...go ahead share an account. and one last thing, you're getting pissed because i said something about acct sharing...when in reality all i was doing was informing him...who's ****? ya that's what i thought

The outpost
# Oct 20 2001 at 10:52 PM Rating: Decent
Lets face it the only to keep outpost faction is the gate hammer and now this potion. THe prices are horrible, and the location is far from almost everywhere(except HS which is also VS faction =/ )

Many evils I know trashed their OT faction and switched to FV to bank and sell etc. Glad too see VI is rewarding the people who are following their innate faction of their race/religion.

I believe they fixed the VS faction flip also, going from KOS to warmly killing in HS was a crock.

my ogre warrior friend has this.. he got it and then went to butcher his VS faction for some cobalt guants and boots. Anyhow.. he went LD in a hate raid and i logged him on to get some loot he was up for.. afterwards he emailed me and told me to go ahead and get him out. I did so with the hammer.. it pops u inside one of those little boats.. him being an ogre it took a few to jump out but afterwards he was safe. There was some sissy skeleton beatin up on him but i killed it easily.

anyhow, point being.. as long as your not weak or anything its not a death spot =)... that is unless the dragoons are near there and your KoS to them=)

Just a friendly reminder that account sharing is a bannable offense. Might want to be careful what kind of info you post on these boards.
Just a reminder, people :)
#Anonymous, Posted: Oct 20 2001 at 7:23 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) You're an idiot mr. anon. The only ppl who are not allowed to share accounts are GMs and if you'll read the terms of agreement it's totally legal to share an account as it's not in there...why do you think dads let their kids play or ppl teaming up so the cost is less...i hate to break it to you but you need to think before you speak because this time you've shoved your foot up your ...well you know

dude you're the idiot. sharing accounts is a bannable offense stated in section 1 of the terms of agreement next time YOU should think before you speak

don't you hate dumb people? /sigh

and just in case you don't believe me

1. Accounts are available only to adults or, in their discretion, their minor child. If you are a minor, your parent(s) or guardian(s) must complete the registration process, in which case they will take full responsibility for all obligations under this Agreement. By clicking the "I Accept" button and providing us with a credit card number, you represent that you are an adult and are either accepting this Agreement on behalf of yourself or your child. You may not transfer or share your Account with anyone , except that if you are a parent or guardian, you may permit one child to use the Account instead of you (in which case you may not use that Account). You are liable for all activities conducted through the Account, and parents or guardians are liable for the activities of their child. Corporations and other entities are not eligible to procure Accounts.
#QrowMagnon, Posted: Oct 19 2001 at 5:16 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Verant or the everquest team is bad people, account sharing banable offense, they are not cool! Who wouldn't let their friend play a character for them to get them something? I hope one day they get a clue and change that account sharing idea.

i don't see what the big deal is. everyone raised hell over a simple subject. i used my buddies account for a while to see if i liked EQ...is that such a terrible thing. someone helping someone else out is like a form of good sportsmanship. most of us follow the rules to the game, and rarely break them. whatever happened in this scenario isn't bad at all...someone helped someone else out...who cares. it's the over-dramatic people in this game that **** everyone else off. "you swore...(or) you KS my mob...blah blah blah.." some people take this game too seriously, it IS just a game.

Cast Time
# Oct 18 2001 at 5:51 PM Rating: Decent
Sure it's important! If you are evil (and have good faction) it's a quick save if it's instant. If you aren't, then it's a possible gate. Trick is, that somebody casts invisibility on you. Before the spell "hits" you (and after they started casting it), you activate the potion. Invis only breaks to due casting when you *begin* casting. So if somebody hits you with an invis spell *while* you are casting, then you end up at your destination invis (even though you ported yourself there via spell or potion).

If this takes you to the same location as the Worker's Sledgemallet, then invisibility won't help you at all. Better make that Invisibility vs Undead, since there's a skeletal worker within agro range of that spot in the boat. Also, there is a dragoon nearby sometimes, and when the skeleton attacks you, it will get the attention of the dragoon.

If you're KOS in the Overthere outpost, then this gate is slightly dangerous sometimes... and absolutely deadly other times. USE WITH EXTREME CAUTION!

If they were to make it teleport you to a different location, they would have had to make another version of the spell & just given it the same name. There is only one spell in the current spdat.eff called Overthere, & it does this:

Overthere
Teleport to location 2602,3395 in The Overthere

Anyone know if this is instant-cast like the CT gate potion (lizard blood potion)? Always a handy thing to have, if so.

I could be wrong but I haven't seen many 0 casting time right click items at all anymore. Just about everything has a cast time even if it is half a second.

Um, the cast time, while being important, is really not the most important aspect of this potion. The drop point is.
The Overthere effect drops you in the same spot (unless they changed it) as the Workers Hammer, which means if you've got bad VS faction, you'll likely be dead when you land.
