Anyone Have any USEFULL information on this drop? Like as in how often it drops i know its a RARE drop and all but say like does it drop in 1 in 5 kills or some sorta ratio like that Tired of all these posts "It should be a Monk item" ***** off dude, you melee's have more then enough haste items you all should be happy. You know how hard it is to find a belt slot item that has 7wis 7int 50mana? thats not only tradeable but doesnt drop from some lvl 60+ mob or somewhere it takes a full raid force to get to. Personally i think this belt would be a blast to have with the new cleric hammer's that proc and the self only haste spell we get would be alot of fun to play with

Drops are not set on any set ratio PERIOD :) How often a special mob pops is totally random too :) I have fought enough named mobs and camped enough to know that it is totally random and how often things drop is also random. I have had named mobs pop 3 times in a row and read on here and other site that it's a "rare" spawn :) I would agree that the last one I had spawn 3 times was pretty rare, though some people would say I got him 3 times "NO WAY " he is rare :) Spawn rate is by a roll of a die SoE will add sides to if they believe a mob is poping too much or dropping a good items too much but it will still remain random :) So saying something drops once every 5 times is statistically incorrect :) Something very rare could have a 50 sided die so that would make it rare a common item might have a 12 sided die :) Ok I will stop now don't want people to think I'm smart or something :) heeheh

It's VERY rare. It drops in the bank right next to the banker himself. The PH is "A Sarnak Manager" and the bank itself is on about a 15 minute spawn time. I have killed the Auditor many times and he usually drops iksar hide tome or the crappy dagger. I have gotten the belt once out of probably 30 kills.
#REDACTED, Posted: Sep 18 2002 at 4:59 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Funny how many of the post state how you are "supposed to play" your necro, chanter, or whatever. When you start your toon there are stat modifiers so you can build your character to play however you want to, I once met a druid that said he wasn't a healer.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 24 2003 at 3:16 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Ya thats ridiculous. You have never played a caster like a wizard. I have a shaman and shamans can take some damage. Casters cant you idiot. They have to cry get it off me because they will die in 2 rounds of combat if not less. I have to say you are a lesser shaman if you "let those guys die." I heal them and root the mob personally. . .

Actually i have played casters, not a wiz but a chanter and mage. If ya run all over the place with a mobe chaseing you how the hell can the warrior, ranger or whatever taunts taunt it off ya. BTW i have played a warrior and currently have an SK and there is a range on taunt. Also heal has a range so why waste time casting on a guy who will run out of range of your heal.

Nice Waist Item

/Drool

This is godly for any caster. 7 int/wis and 50 mana = a wonderfull piece for any caster. I agree that with the cha the chanters have to be crying to get one....but...As a mage I would still want it myself. 31 haste with a jumpy and hand wraps and my Sarnak soummoning dagger that procs little over 300 DD with summoned bracer (gotta love mana free 300 point nukes), I could be having a whole lot of fun. I have found as long as there is an enchater animation around for the mob to pound on (mostly caster groups that I get in) mobs dont even aggro me when I step in. Combined with my horse so I dont worry about medding to much and I'm Golden. According to all the posts here though, your chances are better at winnning the lotery then ever seeing one of these around your waist. So GL and Safe Journey.

Mana.. Mana... Mana...

I'm 57 wizzie right now and Mana and a plus in
the int too? You bet I'd like this.

I have started replacing thinks like Eboots and Ruin Cowl that have High int with items that have more mana attached to them. Still holding on to that magic 200 int.

And of course keeping them for when I do Resist gear raids. Then I put them back on and replace my rings and wrist item and ears with resist gear. Usually Blue diamond stuff.

If you have one and want to sell I'll be listening.

why isnt this a monk item? Lol! I'm surprised there aren't a ton of posts asking that /grin. I can see it being handy for casters for when they DO have to melee, or WANT to melee, or for getting those annoying trade skill items like silks and not wanting to waste mana, or even for soloing.

Why is it when someone see's haste on an Item they instantly think of melee. AC 6 int 7 mana 50 is godly for a caster belt or so I heard, add in the 7 cha and this is a pure chanter belt. Being a bard that 7 cha even has me thinking about it, but I'd be better off with an RBG or an RBB for the dex and str. Besides there really aren't that many drops for a caster as compared to melees.

So please next time take into account the entire stats of an Item.

Guess I am just a poor cleric. Level 50 and still at 190 wisdom. I often melee a mob when I am full mana and no one needs a heal. Sure I will not steal much thunder from the warrior, though once in a while I have managed to stop a caster from casting when my gem slots were filled with other spells then the line of stuns. Guess I even lived a little and so was around and standing after the mob has aggroed me from a heal to a warrior who managed to lose aggro to another melee and the spell over healed. (Nice lure for the mob, those overheals.)

I may never get one of these belts, and I may not be the best or most suited class. But I would like to have one eventually.

#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 21 2001 at 11:44 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) My wife is a level 31 cleric, and she doesnt do too bad tanking, with this belt, she could solo and leave people in the dust when it comes to levelling.....of course, so what if it has haste, it's about time casters had something fun to play with, and who knows what will come with future expansions. Open your mind, and look at all the possibilities, and quit complaining about every minute detail that you think is unfair.

This belt is level restricted, as many of the chardok items are. You cannot equip this until you are at least level 51.

maybe it used to be when you posted this, but currently, nothing i have seen in chardok is level restricted as far as who can wear it. there are alot of rt clicky earrings that you need to be a certain level to click, but other than that, a level 1 toon can wear chardok gear.

I can't believe the idiot that would sell this thing for 5000pp's.The amount of people needed to hold the spawns and trains in this area and the rarity of the item, would command a higher price?Knowing that this item is most casters/ALL,The demand for it would be out of sight.Anyone lucky enough to win this, would no doubt keep it for themselves or perhaps let their guild take a crack at it,if they themselves had a better waist item.I noticed the nut that posted the 5000pp's was still wearing a braided cinch cord (brain damage?).

Are you kidding? Have you ever looked at the array of Enchanter belts that are out there? You monkey, I'd drop around 40+k on one of these in a heartbeat. And to give you an idea of it's rarity, my group has been doing the vault loop (great xp and nice drops) for 2 weeks now. Around 4 hours every night. Spawn time is 19.5 Minutes giving us around 10 Collector or PH's a night. I still don't have one.

I am still doing the loop nightly (well almost) and we have yet to see one. I only know of 2 on our server (Brell Serilis) and both were gotten right after the revamp, before they nerfed the loot tables. I haven't seen one myself, nor even heard of anyone getting one since. I'm almost wondering if they didn't move it (or take it out /weep). Would anyone post if they have gotten one on any server recently. I'd like to know it still exists.

Oh and to the guy below. Thanks :)

I have to agree with you 100% on this belt.I play an Enchanter and would love to have this item. This belt beats any planes armor or quest for that matter (as far as enchanters go).I have yet to hear of any on the quellious server and if there are any,I'm sure those players are keeping it.The cha/int/mana are unreal and 40+k would be a deal on this item.I hope you do get the belt, seeing the time you've invested in hunting this spawn. From a fellow Enchanter,Best of luck.

# Oct 31 2001 at 3:02 PM Rating: Excellent
Did extensive tests last night with this belt. Haste is just over 30%.

Compared it with an RBG over a period of 3 minutes. With no haste I did 69 attacks. With the RBG I did 86 attacks. With the GoR I did 92 attacks. (RBG is generally thought to have 27% haste)
RE: Haste %...
# Dec 04 2001 at 3:18 AM Rating: Good
Magelo clocks it in at 31%, so your testing is looking pretty good.

Better than an FBSS / Silver Chitin Hand Wraps, not the best in the game though by any means.

Caster/Healer Melee
# Oct 27 2001 at 6:46 PM Rating: Excellent
Honestly I have no problem with the caster/healer's meleeing. One of my best friends is a 60 druid, complete with her leafblower epic. When we're grouped and have a cleric in the party, as well as a C2 enchanter, she'll be buffed up to high heaven, hasted, and be standing in there with us tanks dishing out up to 84dmg a whack with that nifty little scimitar. If she starts getting lower on mana, she'll just sit and med out a fight or two and be right back in there swinging. And those shaman's are always in there shoulder to shoulder with us, stabbing and bashing away. Adding haste to an item like this is great for them. It's useful for any casters that are willing to wade in there with the rest of us meat shields.

::drools quietly:: The FBSS for the caster classes. Who cares if hybrids and melee can't use it? You have haste items coming out your ears. I sure as heck would love to stick this on my necro. Why? I'm sorry, but even as a high level, I am not gonna waste mana hitting a greenie attacking me. If I'm fear kiting as a necro? LOL. All the rest of you necros laugh at me, but I built my gal for melee. Sure, she's got a harvester for primary, but she's got an ORS for a shield, and a smoldering brand for her main hand. Cutting the 22 delay down a bit would be nice. I hit for 20ies as is, and you know? Damage adds up when you melee. Or did you enchanters, mages, and necros forget your humble beginnings when your pet had NO hitpoints and couldn't tank if its life depended on it.. and *you* were the tank? AC *and* wis/int *and* charisma? PLUS a nice effect? Whomever says this is a BAD caster belt is on crack, and I don't mean clarity. I know I will certainly be seeking it for my 50 cleric to replace my belt of the cenobite at the very least.

FUN is important too
# Oct 23 2001 at 9:13 AM Rating: Decent
This is a great item and i applaud the VI programers for making it. Sure everyone wants to spout off about how high level casters don't melee and that is true on the face of things. However, a lot of high level casters will get a big kick out of this item. For a Shaman, Druid or Chanter, this item rocks on stats alone.

The life of a caster can get pretty boring - nuke, nuke, nuke, stun, med, med, med.... lather, rinse, repeat...etc. That will remain the same no matter how much haste you get in tough zones and on serious raids. This is more for having FUN or in solo/kiting situations where you might save a little mana. It offers some variety, a chance to taunt melee's with a FBSS since you have a better haste item, etc. I'm an SK primarily and I am happy to see this in the game.
its all good
# Oct 23 2001 at 5:30 AM Rating: Decent
some ppl just seem to forget not all weapons that casters use are for melee only some proc dd some proc spells such as tash line haste would just give an extra boost for proc chances more swings more chances tp proc and for a caster BELT the stats are great.

Man,
Yah know casters dont really have much in the way of "Fun" gear to play around with at higher levels, most all our equipment that is good is "Practical" yet not that interesting...

So what if casters get a haste belt, so what if its got a really good haste on it... my shaman uses a 12/19 spear with a 81dmg dd on it... do i complain cause my warrior cant use it? NO, cause its abit of fun for the shaman now and again when i can spare the time to stand up from the ever constant medding... so melees out there... word of advice.. maybe suck it up a little allready :p

cleric can melee
# Oct 22 2001 at 6:35 AM Rating: Decent
they can wear good plate armor , they can solo like all people if mob does not summon
i often tank mobs who hits between 100 and 120
with a staff 30/40 from DN what i see is i can't tank with my fa else with haste and this staff , heals/roots... etc if the mob is not 100% rm it's quite easy
Nice belt, haste really an issue?
# Oct 20 2001 at 10:14 PM Rating: Decent
Remove the effect of haste. This is a very nice belt.

At the level you would be to get this belt, melee is a novelty not a function of the people who can wear it. Not sure about other classes, but clerics melee caps at 175, thats like a level 34 melee class skill with No double attack(offense cap is 200 I realize so not exactly the same). Unless you are killing undead and you have a dawnfire(585 undead dd proc) or something, cleric melee sucks.

This belt is very nice, I would wear it haste or not.
RE: Nice belt, haste really an issue?
# Jan 28 2002 at 2:03 PM Rating: Decent
ohh FYI... shamans weapon skill caps at 200 :)
RE: Nice belt, haste really an issue?
# Oct 21 2001 at 3:14 PM Rating: Decent
As a level 38 druid,I melee a bit to finish off mobs when quad kiting (that one ulthork who resisted a few lightning strikes) and haste would help with that.
RE: Nice belt, haste really an issue?
# Oct 22 2001 at 11:06 AM Rating: Good
When you hit the 50s, you'll stop meleeing unless it's just for fun. The mobs hit VERY hard and it's easier to just kite than goof around with a sword or hammer. It is very important to melee at the lower levels to max out the few defensive skills that casters do get however.

It's important to have fun with your class, but not build an illusion that you're a tank no matter how much haste you may have.
RE: Nice belt, haste really an issue?
# Jan 28 2002 at 2:00 PM Rating: Default
I disagree bout meleeing... fyi I am a 59 shaman, and I solo alltogether too much for my own good.
The amount of damage I deal out in melee isn't great with my epic... however, the little additions do help, and while I am standing there as xxx mob(usually seb frogs, suits in WL, or entrance trash in chardok) bleeds to death from DoTs I am either bracering it or beating it silly with the Icewurm Fang I keep on me for meleeing.

Even in groups I melee... especially when a chanter is willing to Garou me :)

The only time I completely abstain from melee is ToV'ish encounters... I am usually so OOM from attempting to slow/debuff, plus keeping all the bloody tanks buffed that I don't bother...
RE: Nice belt, haste really an issue?
# Dec 19 2001 at 1:51 PM Rating: Decent
Noone is considering the tradeskillers who have to farm a lot of greenies. Wasting them with mana is time consuming, if I were able to melee them down a little faster, I would really like it. The 7 charisma and wisdom are bonuses as charm spells will last longer and replace my 5 wisdom belt now....oh and 50 mana ummm all I can say is I would gladly accept this as a drop.

so do we have a haste percentage on this thing yet? does it really rival an FBSS?
RE: haste % ?
# Oct 22 2001 at 4:34 PM Rating: Default
A lot of stuff beats FBSS haste. I think FBSS haste is only between 17-21%... there's a lot better stuff then that. Knowing Verant, this is probably like the highest haste item in game. *rolls eyes* You know it's probably true though.

I wonder what the haste is on this belt... I mean, it'd be halfway decent with like an epic (most caster's epics are 20/30, with a couple exceptions... but at that point melee is a true novelty only really done when the mob is running and you're OOM.)

I swear, Verant is trying to get people upset enough to leave the game. If this is one of the better haste belts out there and it's for NON-melee classes... grrr. Nice stats though, were I one of those classes I'd take it, and I might take it as a shaman for the haste effect (they're like the only ones to melee every now and then)
