No Longer dropped items
# Aug 23 2004 at 11:41 AM Rating: Decent
Is there any way to exclude no longer dropped items? I am using this sit to find items I can use, not items some Lucky Duck got at one Time in the past. These item does not even exist to me, most of the time there no drop. I want to serach quests for no drop items I can still get my hands on.

Thanks

Kardein
#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 08 2004 at 5:11 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) one word comes to mind on this item. "Monk" with the stats, regrowth, and only weighing in at 0.1 stone. Makes it ideal for a monk. as for the graphic. Awesome. Love the celtic look it has. Anyways thats my 2pp ( why be cheap these days )

It's one of those things where they act out lore. Except now EQ is solely in the hands of sony and they are too stupid to create any good new lore so they just quit them all together. The usually GM event now is handing out crappy cash gems for a trivia contest of having 2 halfling tourists waste your time in PoK for an hour and a half for nothing at the end...

Liveye (lvl 65 Wizard)

PS- There will never be another artifact handed out, they are inane game makers.

Does any other BP in the game have the same texture as this? It looks like the Blue Black version of the Emerald Dragonscale. Looks sweet.

totally man.
This shoulda went to maybe a warrior or MONK for sure. theres not even any mana on this or wis/int for a caster, its obvious its much better fitting for a melee. there are Much better 'caster' BP's out there with very nice mana boost and some hp, which the mana can usually be used to heal of some sort =x
#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 13 2003 at 4:13 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) actually i think i know. Considering it was a GM event no one knew anything about it, and considering the name of the effect "Prime Healer...." and the name of it, they might have thought "this must have an UBER effect for main healer!!!" im sure if they woulda known everything about it they mighta thought otherwise =x thats just a second thought
Not really.

At the time of the event, caster focus items didn't exist yet.

The Prime Healer is Rodcet Nife, hence the name of the item. Rodcet Nife gave the BP to the one who summoned him.

Nothing dropped the BP and no warning whatsoever was given that the "winner" of the event would get it. I didn't even realize I had it until I checked my inventory. Nobody got to form a council and decide who gets it. The only one who had any choice in the matter was the GM in charge of the event; he had full control.

I had just started to play EQ about 3 months before the event. Sadly, i had to go out of town for a hockey tournament so i missed out on the entire event ( The only reason why im kinda disturbed about not being at the event is because i love roleplaying, wish i couldve been there for just the experience. But oh well. Im doing fine without the Bulwark )

That's its old world graphic.

Velious graphic is very nice--people recognized me in it just by that, though I'm told phase spider carapace looks the same (not many half elf bards in PSCs though).

Luclin graphics = unexceptional.

And this was given out before Stormhammer existed. Actually, there probably is none of these on Legends...

There is no velius graphic type of leather in the new Luclin graphics. So when worn this would look like leather, maybe a slightly different color, but not anything special.

BTW Thanks to verant in order to get GM handouts anywhere close to this anymore, you have to pay 40 bucks a month, bugger that. Shoot if you even want a GM event anymore you have to pay the friggin money. So much for a evolving Norrathian storyline.

#1. Yes, artifact means unique. There will never be another on the same server.

#2. Define roleplaying. When you say you didn't roleplay, what did you do? You didn't speak much, but what you DID say apparently impressed the GM.

I did receive one in the event, and I did roleplay a bard who was simply a walking storehouse of knowledge.

However, it may have been that the GM set out to award the person who helped out other players in the event the most (shared locs, gave running speed, advised people that the bloodsabres could attack and suggested buffing resistances to disease and poison).
Curious here...
# Dec 28 2001 at 9:08 AM Rating: Decent
Do I assume correctly that a 'Artifact' is a unique item on a server, which means there can only be one of these in existance on said servers?
I also have this, I LOVE IT!!

I kinda got a funny story about mine, a level 12 warrior twink of mine walked out of Blackburrow to hear the shouts about all this cleansing of Karana, well, he knew his bigger brother, aka ME, would be interested in this item, so, i arrived on the scene. I used the powere granted to me by the Mother of Nature herself Tunare in an attempt to cleanse the lands as is my duty. I then proceeded to the karanas to find this Farm that my little brother told me about, having no idea where it was, i began following some Farmers footprits, and suddenly i was staning before a man that claimed he might be able to defeat this awful plage.... I was more than eager to help him in this more than noble endeavour. I began shouting out my location to many others in the area trying to get as many people there as possible in an attempt to save the Karanas from this foul fate that had beffalen it in months past. Well, the young man from the Temple of Life begain to tell me the story of how all this came to be, about the foul works of the necromancers, and how the palidins themselves may have been to blame for encouraging the evils at large. Thanks be to Tunare that they managed to find this one possiblity to cleanse the lands that i hold so dear. So i began to help this young priest out and helped to locate the incense burners for my fellow compatriots of the light. after many many hours of work, we had finally achieved our goal and had filled each and every bowl with these smudge sticks and had all been given blessings from the Prime Healer himself. Then suddenly, I was given the Honor of lighting the flame. I was more than honored to risk my life in the hope that all our efforts were for naught. I stood before the Brazier and lit it, and in amazement, it went ablaze and a voice from the heavens assured us that all would be alright. I was happy to have served the land so well on that fine day. Then, suddenly, my compatriots asked me what i had gotten for my services, well, i had no idea what they ment, but i took their advice and rummaged through my sacks. To my astonishment, there was a Breast Plate within my possesion that i knew i didnt have before. Well, i began looking over it admiring its finer qualities when i realized, hey, this might just fit, so i tried it on. Lo and behold, it was as light as a feather, and snug as a blanket, and I also noticed that my older scars of battle were begining to heal themselves soon after i donned the breast plate. I must say, i Thank you both Tunare, (for allowing me to be there that day to do your bidding) and Rodcet Nife, (for devising the methods to cleanse the lands, and for honoring me with the right to wear such a fine piece of armor)
I work and live on the bristlebane server, and i send my belated reguards out to each and everyone of you who assisted me that day, thank you for your fine efforts, and may the gods of light shine upon you always!

ITS NOT A SPELL
# Nov 26 2001 at 11:50 AM Rating: Default
Dread Lord Gudeldar you posted bum scoop on the effect. The effect on this BP is not clickable. Hence there is no casting distance, no spell duration, no spell message, no range to target, no resistance check. It is an EFFECT, not a SPELL. I wish people would quit misinforming people about the effect on this BP just because they look into the spdat.eff file and see information on the castable spell.
Your listing this information on this BP in this manner is like saying that the Fungi Tunic has the same effect that the Fungus Covered Great Staff does. And we all know that to be false.
The BP does not have the same effects as the spell.
The BP gives a constant effect to the wearer that is non-stop as long as the item is equipped.

Povar Server
# Nov 06 2001 at 10:08 AM Rating: Decent
I wanted to comment towards all the people who have said that Role Playing was how they earned this item. Well, that is not always the case. I received this item on Povar during the "Cleansing West karana of the Plague" event. I didn't role play, in fact, I said very little, but when all the smudge sticks were turned in, I was selected to be given the charcoal and complete the quest. I MUST thanks another player who made it possible for me.

SPECIAL thanks to Dryanna, a druid who helped me. I missed out on getting the details of who he/she was (wolf form), but without her unselfish help of tracking, I would have not been able to complete the quest.

THANKS!

If anyone sees Dryanna, please help. One Classy player!

Thats all, thanks for listening to my rants.....

I am sad to say that Kegge has left EQ almost altogether, this BP is collecting dust on the now level 52 Shaman.

Wish it were legal to sell accounts, bet I could get a pretty penny for my account.

Thanks to CSDominion for allowing me to post under his name.

Was a fun game and fun times, but RL has called me back. I will miss you all!!!

Wish I could at leat award this item to my guild.

The Seventh Hammer Server

I couldn't believe it when I opened my inventory and saw this breastplate sitting in one of my backpacks. I was stunned. I mean, I'd not heard of the event, all I knew was that my girlfriend had gone to the Karanas to get me a tacklebox as a little gift and suddenly she's yelling at me from her computer that a GM event will be happening soon... and it was to clean the Karanas.
We're both really into RP and had made up backgrounds for our characters that dealt with the plague that had been going on in the plains and so for us to be involved in the event was something of a pleasure.
That I got the breastplate was a truly added bonus. =)
I loved it when I told everyone in my guild, Virtute et Armis (biased promotion here) Awesome Guild that it is!!, they were exclaiming when I told them I got an artifact item, OMG... No Way!!! heh, man was I ever agog over this.
Anyway, I just had to add my little story to this list.

I know I'm late in responding here, but as I'm a wizard I don't check in on breast plates too often. Although since Aidan Forestwalker, one of my best friends in game and definitely one of the best players I've had the pleasure of hiding behind, got this item I thought I'd check this page out. And what do I find when I get here? That some moron who couldn't remove his head from his *** with a crow bar flamed my bro. I wish I had gotten here first so I could /riposte uberflame on the anonymous poster up there, but Anyari, Chrome, and Ebon seem to have taken care of that pretty nicely. All I have to say for this item is that it rocks. It looks cool, excellent stats, and makes Aidan last even longer as my meat shield. Congrats to all you out there who were good enough and lucky enough to get one of these. And don't flame my friends or I'll flame you... for real.

Wow! You are REALLY stupid. :) Cleaning of Karanas took place with several people giving smudge sticks to "Brazier of Rodcet Nife"s. When all the braziers are full, the GM selects one person from the ROLE-PLAYING crowd, based on how well they role-played and maybe other factors.

The strange thing was, the original poster said "plains" not "planes". There's a difference. You obviously missed it.

Perhaps you're jealous of him?
RE: The Seventh Hammer Server
# Oct 22 2001 at 7:54 AM Rating: Decent
A rebuttal:

1)first off a 30 ranger couldnt clean out karanas by himself or get the most as compared to some of the other high levels that are usually there
1: that's why it was an Event. Lots of people. Having fun, see?

2) what does Roleplaying have to do with winning this
2: Everything. It's a Roleplaying Event. Advancing the storyline of the game. make sense?

3) how could you go to the planes if your 30
3: Plains, not planes. As in, those really big zones between qeynos hills and the rest of the world. The ones everybody can go through? Yeah.

I'm glad to hear the story, Aiden, and congrats on the amazingly awesome piece. =)

Dude, chill people alot lower then him won this fine toy.

1) It was a scripted roleplaying event, no fighting to compitition with high levels to get anything faster than anyone

2) Roleplaying had everything to do with winning it it wasnt randomed it wasnt a guild event. The GM picked 1 person who roleplayed well and worked within the storyline...Pure RP man pure RP

3) the only planes this invloved was the karanas last I knew this was on the mainland so I dont see how his being 30 hindered him there

Get a clue before you flame you annoying little twit

OK, again!

Please scroll up and read my post again. On Povar at least Role Playing had very little to do with it. if you want to hear how I got mine please check out our website. Reminder, I got this item from this event and DID NOT role play AT ALL> Just so everyone has all the info.
