Just the fact that it has AC and resists as well as 45 mana ( 5 wis) and goes in the range is a great item. If it wasnt range equipable I could only see Mages and Enchanters really getting the benifite of it. Tonight we where down by the bank area and a mob droped this just before about 14 mobs jumped us. With 2 groups we held it for about 5 min then died. =\ Enchanter got the book but ever one had a great time. Seems chardok has taken a turn for the better both in EXP/Loots and fun :) Happy hunting all...
Hrmm, ya know I was thinking. Wouldn't it be cool to be an iksar, and collect a piece for every slot? You'd be like...2 iksars in one! Stay with me here. You could go around wearing your suit of iksar hide, and say "this is a family heirloom, you see, my great uncle bernie had this terrbile accident with a skinning knife and we discovered just how tough a ******* he really was so we decided to wear him. It's the latest fashion wearing your relatives.."
I dunno, I just think it's funny. Kind of like an erudite running around with some other erudites heart around their neck...where did it come from? What vile fiend would do such a thing to one of their own race? And more importantly, whose heart are you giving someone when you hand them yours? Is it your heart? or is it your cousan selma's heart in your possesion...
these are the kinds of things you think about as a cleric....in seb...when there's 49 people in the zone, and 7 of them are clerics...
Shaklor Soulraizer Pushin 55 for a long time but just can't seem to do it.
Hmm, as a Wis caster myself, I still find this item rather attractive to have. Yes, the intelligence is not really needed, but the resists aren't all that bad, and since I'm also trying to advance my trade skills, the extra int doesn't hurt me.

No one said anything specific on how it helped tradeskills. He merely stated that the higher of either WIS or INT was the factor that determined a positive effect on tradeskills. And if you were saying that the WIS/INT thing is un-confirmed, I quite clearly remember reading a tradeskill related post on the Developer's Corner Board on everquest.com (the board only VI and Sony Reps can post to). There they stated the highest of your INT or WIS help with your tradeskill development.
yeah Elven skin manual would be much better. but then sarnak seem to have something against us iksar, the same way i have something against elves.
P.S.: If you try to get Somethingslayer as your lastname its always rejected at least it did that for me stupid verant dont want an Iksar named Daakar Elfslayer. to bad that would rock dont you think.
Actually that surname problem is because the name filter used for surnames is the same as the one used for first names. Since ????slayer isn't an acceptable first name most of the variations have been put into the filter. You can have that surname, you just have to petition and ask for the name to be manually assigned to you.

So and so the elf slayer is considred a title and you only get titles from winning tournaments. I have seen a lot of people on Rallos come up with a cool name, petition something not thinking about it and get their name changed.

Actually, some WIS casters wouldn't mind the lack of WIS on this item. It has mana, great if you are already at 200 WIS (or INT for that matter) and 10 SvPoison - good for Trakanon raids.
He's probably a Paladin (like myself). I too noticed only INT and went BAH...until I noticed the +45 MANA...well worth it..we don't need no stinkin' badg..err..wis bonus!
This is a pretty Sweet Item. After all if you think about it, get 3 of these books since they're not lore, and you have 15ac 30 dis/poi 15int and 135mana sounds nice if you're an int caster going after Trak.
Actually, if you were going for the PR for trak, get two of these and a stein of mogguk. Stein has 25 save poison, plus some other stuff (and a stein is a LOT easier to get)
Altogether, two of these and a stein: 10ac, 45 poison, 20 disease, 20int, 90mana, 5dex, 10hp.
For a Trak raid, that 45 save poison would be VERY nice. Heck, for most any situation, that would be a nice setup. I know, at the levels you can get this a caster should already have 200int, but they do have to get it from some slot. There are items that are superior to the stein, but the setup of a stein and two of these would be absolutely great against trak (that's the point I'm trying to make.) Lowest base PR I've seen for any class/race is 15 I believe, so with this setup, you've got 60 PR, plus the rest of your slots to add more poison gear.
Ok, enough of my banter, and please don't flame me if I didn't make sense (because I'm not sure if I did)
*edit: I guess stein of mogguk gives 25 save disease, so that combo doesn't work quite as well. Still, that's 45 save disease for those times you need some beefy disease resist (not sure what those would be)*
